Just my opinion would be better to get the same screen quality but without touch screen

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it a month ago. It is excellent. I love it!! Fast, good graphics, four thunderbolt ports. Not heavy. The memory is upgradable, It has two disk bays, The disk is replacable. This 17 notebook has the same size of my old Toshiba 15' S55!!, not so heavy. The battery doesnt have a long duration , but I use always plugged. The only that I miss is the numeric keyboard. In 17' there is room for it. And 16 Gb RAM is not enough, upgrade it to 32 Gb.(the operating system takes around 8Gb), Although these issues, If a friend ask me for a notebook, I recommend it, definitely!!!

BEWARE of Sleep Mode
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My XPS-17 is a fine computer except that any movement of a wireless mouse will wake up a sleeping computer -- even with the lid closed. This will cause excessive battery drain with the potential for excessive heating if the computer is in a confined space. The only solution Dell Technical Support could offer was to make sure the mouse is turned off BEFORE putting the computer to sleep.

Worked well until November 2022, 6 months after the warranty expired. Took it for repair. Apparently, I need to replace the motherboard ($650) + service + tax. That's hard to swallow for a $2,500+ laptop after 18 months.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is an absolute powerhouse, you can just see from the spec sheet topping out with a 3060 gpu! Now the question you really have to ask yourself is do you need a 17 inch laptop or do you want portablilty? Do you really need a 3060 and if you do are you going to be gaming or rendering video? If you’re going to be gaming I would look elsewhere, but if its rendering this is as premium as it gets!
