Easy to use and compact! Definitely thought it would be a bigger machine but it is just the right size!

Been using this daily. This is perfect for a small home or personal use. If you enjoy latte's, espresso shots, and "specialty" coffees, this device will pay itself off in no time compared to going out and purchasing a $7 cup of coffee (before tax and tip). Quick, simple, and easy to use.

It started off good! Its been almost 2-3 years since I purchased and now it leaks. Vid & pics attached.

So, I tried not to let my first review at BestBuy be negative; however, after a few weeks filled with wasting multiple pounds of coffee and endless carafes of milk, negative it must be. This was my first "espresso machine" purchase and the biggest takeaway I can give is: don't be cheap! Yes, this is less expensive than a better machine, but I now know you definitely get what you pay for. I'll just list my positives and negatives below and you can decide for yourself... Positives: Very inexpensive. Will make something akin to an espresso/latte/cappuccino/etc., just not with the flavor you're used to getting from a coffee shop. Very easy to maintain and clean. Ready to use really fast, doesn't take 15+ mins like most machines. Negatives: Not enough pressure is created to utilize an appropriate grind/weight combination. I have found that I can barely use what is considered an "espresso grind" and have more than 15g of coffee in the basket. I have a Breville Smart Grinder Pro and can only go down to a size 25 grind (their espresso grind range is between 0-30) and have that amount of coffee. Any smaller grind and the weight of the coffee also must decrease, in addition to tamping lighter or you won't get any extraction. Next, is the steam wand...or whatever they want to call it. It's short, so even in a small carafe (mine is 12 oz max) the steam wand barely touches milk. I'm new to this and learned this is the biggest issue with the product. If the steam is too high in the milk you end up with endless bubbles, well, it's virtually impossible to prevent that with this machine. Even submerging virtually the whole wand in the milk (up to the point they say you can't go past), by the time the milk is at 110 degrees it's bubbling over the edge of the carafe. A great work around is just removing the cappuccino attachment (this also has weird bevels inside it which prevents creating the proper whirlpool needed to froth milk) and using the internal wand itself; however, that's only a small rubber piece that slides into place and short of securing it to the machine (I use a bread tie) it will just pop off into the milk filled carafe you're using to steam the milk. An aftermarket wand would make this part of the machine infinitely better, but DeLonghi doesn't offer one, so no luck there. It really stinks to waste a couple hundred dollars and if you're remotely serious about doing lattes and such at home, that's all you're doing. I plan on hoping someone will buy this from FB marketplace and I'll just use whatever funds I can secure to put toward the purchase of a real espresso machine. This is just not where it's at if you plan to get remotely serious with being able to make a proper latte.

This machine works fine. The only thing i don't like is the 15 bar pressure which makes the espresso very light. I like a strong coffe, but if you are ok with light coffee this machine will be perfect for you.

Great machine for the beginner Barista such as myself. allows opportunity to explore creating and pouring your own shots. Comes from one of the top manufacturers of espresso/coffee machines

Best investments ever but it take time if you have couple of people plus too much noise for foam

Great for starting off making espresso. I use it everyday. Buy a better tamper and a screen it will change the whole machine. 52mm is the size I think.

This is PERFECT if you’re in the early phases of learning how to make your own espressos. I was quite impressed myself! The machine is easy to use and easy to clean. This definitely saved me so much money instead of buying coffee from cafes.

As far as espresso machines go that make "real" espresso this one is right on the edge. Anything cheaper and you may as well use a stovetop moka pot. But if you know what you're doing you can get tasty, authentic shots from this. It has a pressurized basket and portafilter, which means you can even use pre-ground grocery store coffee and get a reasonable result. It is also possible to buy a separate compatible bottomless portafilter and unpressurized basket and this machine is capable of pulling authentic shots that way. The steamer is good. The whole thing gets up to temperature quickly. My only real complaint is the machine is so light, even full of water, that it's hard to lock in the portafilter without really holding the whole machine tightly with your other hand.

This was an early Christmas present for my roommate but I've used it a few times myself. Between me and him, it makes a really good espresso but the steam wand doesn't seem to get the milk as hot as I'm sure it needs to be. It's possible its just the one I picked up and if I replaced it, it'd be fine. However in the off chance this is the same issue across all the same models, I'd be advised about the heat of the steam function. Oh and be sure to get your own tamper. The included one is plastic and doesn't quite get to the right level of tamped, if that makes sense. I was lucky enough to catch this on a black Friday sale, so by all means, if you catch this on sale and want your own espresso machine, I do recommend this one.
