TL;DR: SETUP: Plug it in and you’re ready to go (initial set-up info below). USE: It heats up quickly and is quick to switch between breeding and steaming. USABILITY: It’s quick and easy to use. Brewing is easy. I had to learn how to use the frother (basically just pay attention :) ). OVERALL: I love it. I feel like I’m making professional espresso drinks at home. I like the single-use espresso systems for running out the door, but the De’Longhi Linea Classic Espresso Machine ups the quality. I was looking for an espresso machine as a friend of mine makes the best espresso, cappuccinos, and lattes. I wanted something similar, but without the restaurant-sized machine. It’s about the size of a regular coffee brewer (relatively compact), the style is very attractive, it has a frother, and can use either pre-ground or freshly ground beans. Setting up is easy. Make sure you have all the parts and clean them. Then prime the machine. Add water to the water reservoir, run water through the system (basically brew the system with just water) to clean out anything that may be in the machine from the manufacturing process, and then you’re good to go for the real stuff. Grind the beans of your choice, fill and pack the filter with the appropriate amount of grounds into the portafilter, tamp the grounds smooth and flat, and brew! It may take a time or 2 to get the results you want, but it’s pretty simple. My first brew was great and has improved since. Frothing milk is pretty fun and I feel like a barista when I do it! If you like espresso drinks, this is the machine for you! I love it!

One of the best cups of espresso I have ever had! To start, the DeLonghi Linea Classic Espresso Machine has a very clean and sleek design. It fits in well with most modern-day kitchen appliances. I love that the size of the espresso machine is not too large; it does not take up much counter space. One thing I did not like is the electric cord is quite short, meaning you have to place it close to an outlet or use an extension cord. This is definitely not a deal breaker, just something to be aware of when thinking about placement. This was my first time ever using an espresso machine myself, however, the instructions were very clear and concise. The instruction manual had a full display of each part and its name which was made it easy to match up the corresponding parts. After reading the starting/operating instructions, I quickly was able to make my first espresso. There is virtually no assembly required. You simply conduct the cleaning process after adding water and then you’re ready to go. Honestly, this was one of the best espressos I have ever had. The quality and time in which this machine provided was extremely convenient and amazing. A feature which was convenient is the hot water dispenser which I can see my wife using to fill a cup of hot water for tea. Overall, for the price the DeLonghi Linea Classic Espresso Machine is a steal. I look forward to my next cup in the morning! I would definitely recommend this machine to friends and family!

I recently acquired the taste for espresso and wanted to be able to make it at home. So I have been looking for machine that would create professional quality espresso without breaking the bank. Hello De’Longhi. I have always been impressed with their quality of machines and this definitely lives up to the reputation they hold. Unboxing this reinforced that this is high quality machine built to last. The materials are excellent. You get everything you need to make barista quality espresso in the comforts of your own home. Well you have to supply your own coffee of course. The user manual walked me through all the steps to prepare the machine, from cleaning and descaling to how to make espresso. Well done on the manual. I really like the size of the unit. Many of these can be quite large and take up a lot of counter space. This is pretty compact and looks nice on my counter. Getting started you will press the power button and need to wait for it to stop blinking. When it is solid then the unit is ready to go. Next I pressed the 1 cup button and I had the 1 cup espresso filter installed. The water reservoir in the back is easy to access and keep full and clean as needed.

I have long been a fan of De'Longhi's espresso machines and have owned several in the past, ranging in different price ranges. This model is definitely on the lower end of the price range so I don't want to make outlandish claims that this will make mindblowing espresso. Coffee snobs may not be happy but, I think this machine does provide good value. Right off the bat, the build quality at least looks more solid than lower-priced counterparts. It is a mix of stainless steel and plastic that is artfully done in my opinion. Still, only time will tell how long it lasts. It is compact and sleek so it should definitely look good in any modern kitchen. Setup is always straightforward with De'Longhi machines as long as you follow the instructions. If you have never used an espresso machine before, then there might a slight learning curve but I promise the included manual is great and helpful for troubleshooting things. The espresso quality is good and consistent. If you are making multiple batches, I have noticed that it will overheat so be aware and plan accordingly. All in all, this is a good value espresso machine for anyone looking to foray into the espresso world and not drop thousands.

So I just received my DeLonghi Linea Classic Espresso Machine a week or so ago and have been putting it through its paces. My morning commute usually includes pitstops at either a local fast-food joint or coffee shop to grab a frappe or other iced coffee for that morning pick-me-up on the way to the office. However, now that I’ve received my new espresso machine, those days are about to be a thing of the past. Before getting started, I must say that I was very impressed with the look and sleek design of this espresso machine. It blends in well with my kitchen and fits nicely with other appliances on my countertop. Inside the package is: * DeLonghi Linea Classi Espresso Machine * 1 Cup Stainless Steel Filter * 2 Cup Stainless Steel Filter * Stainless Steel Portafilter * 2-in-1 Scoop/Tamper * User Manual & Registration Documentation Now getting started, this machine can look a little daunting to those that have not used an espresso machine before, however, if you follow along with the user manual guide, you will be making your hot/cold drinks in no time. Simply add your water to the water reservoir tank on the top. Tightly pack your espresso into the 1 cup or 2 cup stainless steel filter. Pop it into the portafilter and attach the portafilter. The bottom tray is removable to clean up slips or for using a larger cup/mug. Power button is on the top right of the front. Also on the front is the choice between 1 cup or 2 cups of espresso, and also the steam button. The right side of the machine is the hot water steam dial. This machine may be small in size but so far it has handled anything I have thrown at it. My goto choice is an Iced Caramel Macchiato. Being someone that has never really used an espresso machine before, I found this espresso machine fairly easy to use. And it’s great for those of us with limited counter space or top cabinets that sit somewhat low.

Big coffee drinker but things getting the way they are, kind of expensive to keep this habit up. I usually get the normal house brew but I do like a good espresso every now and then. With this latest addition to my kitchen, I can have it anytime now without incurring such large expenses. I was a bit hesitant about using this seeing as I normally don't operate a machine like this. But, having watched baristas make these for so long now, it was pretty intuitive on how to use this machine properly. I'm no expert but I'm getting there (hopefully). Once you've learned how to operate the machine properly then it pretty much becomes a no-brainer after that.The knobs and buttons on this are pretty straightforward so there's not really much to mess up thanfully. That said, the coffee I'm getting out of this thing is great. I'm just using my normal coffee for now however I'll definitely look into getting different brands and such down the road. I haven't quite mastered the creamer pouring bit but am slowly getting there. If you're the type that REALLY likes their coffee and spends oodles of money each month buying them, it'd probably be a great idea to pick one of these up and save some money.

The De'Longhi Linea Classic Espresso Machine is not only an elegant looking Espresso machine, but it is the perfect sice machine for my personal office. With a classis dial gauge design, and a brushed and chrome finish, the De'Longhi Linea Classic Espresso Machine really stands out in my office. After properly cleaning things out before the first use, making my first cappuccino was a breeze. The steam wand works flawlessly and has two different settings to finetune the frothing experience to your personal liking. When I need that extra push to help me get through the day, a quick espresso gets the job done. Best of all, I can make it all happen right in the comfort of my own office. I would highly recommend the De'Longhi Linea Classic Espresso Machine.

I am an avid coffee lover and enjoy a refreshing cup of espresso every morning. I have been using De'Longhi Linea Classic Espresso Machine for a month now and I can definitely recommend this machine to anyone who loves coffee. I understand some people prefer to invest over a thousand dollars for a professional espresso extractor, however I truly believe this De'Longhi Linea Classic Espresso Machine is all you need to enjoy a single or double espresso, cappuccino or latte. Here are a few points that I would like to emphasize about this particular machine: 1. Extraction - I believe it is the most important part of your drink, which makes or breaks it. According to the manufacturer this espresso machine features a 15-bar Italian professional pump which delivers consistent 9-bar extraction. The quality of your espresso depends on that pressure and in my every day tasting experience - this machine delivered great results and my espresso always came out velvety and smooth. 2. Temperature control - thanks to its Thermoblock technology, it provides fast, stable, and precise temperature control for perfect brewing. I really like that De'Longhi utilized the old time chrome-detailed pressure gauge instead of using a digital display. It makes it look cool in the kitchen! 3. Space saver - this machine is definitely takes very minimal space on your counter and stainless steel will match your other appliances like it is the case in my kitchen. 4. Flexible frother - always makes my milk steamed well and also creates nice foam for lattes. 5. Accessories - everything you need is provided from a portafilter, tamper to filter baskets. So if you like a barista style coffee and want to save your money (just think - this machine will pay for itself if you used to spend hundreds of dollars a year at your Starbucks) - this machine is for you!

At a retail price of $200, I didn’t expect too much from this unit, as there don’t seem to be any cappuccino machines on the market at this price point without some major deficiency, notably their ability to heat up quickly. When I first opened it, I was surprised at how compact it is. It is about the same size as my coffee machine; not huge, but not small. I drink super strong black coffee at home and americano when ordering from out and about. I prefer americano but never had anything reliable to make espresso with at home. Enter this De’Longhi, which I now recommend to all my friends. The two most important things for me is that it heats up enough and doesn’t take forever. Also important thing is that it doesn’t make a crazy mess and drip. I’m happy to report that the filter basket locks in easily and cleanly and the device gets nice a hot with ample pressure to make me excellent shots. The only thing I dislike is that the clearance from the bottom to the dispenser is too short for the disposable hot lid cups I use for my coffee. I am happy to be drinking Americanos now from home, but I have to use a short mug every day and then pour into my take out cups. Small pain in the rear but it would have made the machine taller I guess. Leaving this under a cabinet is sort of moot because of the way the water tank is loaded. So I don’t love the design choice but not enough to knock a star off!
