We replaced our old cuisine art coffee maker that had the burr, grind and brew function. The new ninja coffee bar didn't have that function. Coffee just wasn't quite the same. This new delonghi was the perfect choice. It is beautiful to look at, almost like a piece of artwork and blends in perfectly on our coffee carts black granite beside our ninja. The setting are easy to follow. The operation is reasonably quiet. I love that we can load the hopper with several days of beans to have at the ready. Also the airtight storage is great if you grind more than you want to use right away. I would recommend this product.

Honestly, I've never thought to consider a more expensive coffee grinder. In the past I've always used the cheap ones that have one setting just to get coffee made and get out the door. Man was I wrong. The options on this allow for such a difference in types and a bolder flavor to my coffee, especially when combined with my new coffee maker that has such options. If you're in the market for a coffee grinder that has all of the professional options that you usually find in a coffee shop or when grinding your coffee on a commercial grinder, this is definitely the one. The only downside I would say is that it was a touch more expensive than I'd like.

I was pretty annoyed when my S/O brought this pricey coffee grinder home, I was acceptably happy with my old one and couldn't imagine that there would be much of a difference. Wow, was I wrong! Using the same beans that I have been using, but with the DeLonghi suggested settings, the flavor, the richness, and the smoothness of my morning coffee is substantially amplified! And there's no mess! I am now kicking myself for not getting one of these sooner. I love coffee, it's the most important meal of my day, and now it's even better!

This is a solid piece of equipment. Everything has worked great the entirety that we've had it, and has honestly made our lives easier. If you're like me and value coffee and its nuances then you must need a burr grinder, and this should be the one. It's made of good contscructin, feels solid, and is relatively quiet for a burr. It's also not too big on the counter, which is nice. Honestly no negatives so far. Highly recommended.

I went from a one-for-all generic Grinder to this. Huge difference! Coffee is more flavorful. Works great even on store brand beans!

    Not Good For Espresso

It looks nice, has a lot of features, and I really wanted to like this it. Unfortunately, this grinder does not grind finely enough for espresso in my opinion. I have a Capresso EC Pro semi-auto espresso machine that has a pressurized portafilter. This grinder should work with pressurized baskets. It may with DeLonghi machines, but it definitely doesn't with my Capresso. I bought this grinder because I wanted to grind directly into my portafilter. I tried numerous times to fill the portafilter and very firmly tamp the grounds, but the coffee just runs out way too fast and watery. The only way I've been able to get it to work is to fill the portafilter half way, tamp firmly, grind again, and then tamp a second time. You shouldn't have to do that. If you are buying this for espresso I wouldn't. You are better off with any of the Capresso Infinitys or one of the Breville espresso grinders. They "will" grind finely enough. If you are just buying a grinder for drip coffee this is a very nice machine.
