As far inexpensive espresso makers go, this is ok. I found that in reality cannot use fine espresso grind, so end up with a bit coarser grind in order for the machine to work. Overall, it does a job, does it ok, not really in love with it.

Great machine at a great price. We have used this a little over a month so far and love it. We were spending $12/day on coffee. Within a month its already paid for. Great deal. Easy to clean.

Very hard to use as is very light weiight and moves when trying to put the handle.

Single cup leaked. Customer service told me that is actually something I am doing wrong.. so how come the two cup does not leak? System gets hot sometimes and you need to wait for the machine to cool down..

Grabbing a latte or a macchiato has been a part of my routine for quite a while now and I have been looking at espresso makers, but never really committed to picking something up. With how everything has changed in our daily lives, I felt that it was a great opportunity to invest in a machine to save myself the coffee shop visits. The De'Longhi - DEDICA Espresso is very compact which is great for those not looking to dedicate a lot of space, or simply don't have the room to spare in their kitchen. Everything is very simple with the machine, 2 brew sizes, steam wand controls and a water tank in the back. The machine has 3 replaceable filters, one for a single, a double or pods. I started testing using the double sized filter, but not too used to the grind size just yet as this is my first espresso machine. Until I get the fine tuning done, I have bought a couple small boxes of pods to use in the morning. This is also very easy for family to use as they're more familiar with a traditional coffee maker, pods adds the convenience of drop and brew. I have invested in a frother cup, at this point I have been doing a lot more iced lattes as it has still been fairly hot where I live. However I have made a few hot beverages to get the feel for the machine. Luckily I enjoys iced espresso so I am getting a similar experience to what I am used to. I may invest in a new tamper later, I am surprised you get this plastic press to begin with, but that was the only downside to me. I would definitely suggest reading the manuals, the machine is fairly simple but there is a lot more involvement comparing to the traditional hit brew and forget most of us are used to. Overall the machine is very capable, the one short coming at this time is myself haha. If you are thinking about getting into brewing your own espresso at home this machine offers something for everyone. Offering pods is a great option for anyone not comfortable yet brewing or allowing family the opportunity to brew with simple drop and press of a pod!

We had this for over a year. It worked well and we maintained it. However it finally went out on us. There is no pressure when the machine is going. And one little stream of expresso comes out and its done.

I was so excited for this purchase however, the machine would overheat constantly when warming the milk. It didn’t really heat the espresso hot enough for my personal tastes when even though, I had set the settings to the highest heat setting possible. I’m a bit picky about my mochas and this machine just didn’t match my preferences.

I have always been curious about making my own espresso drinks at home as the cost of the coffee stand is just too expensive. Honestly, I was too intimidated to actually go through it, and purchase an espresso maker of my own. Enter the De'Longhi EC685M Dedica Deluxe Pump Espresso Machine. As it turns out making my own espresso, latte, cappuccino, and more is way easier than I expected! First off this is a great machine. The build quality is EXCELLENT. It is versatile. It is also nice and small at only about 6” wide. This allows me to keep it on my counter without feeling like I am losing too much counter space. Honestly when I first unboxed everything I was still a bit intimidated by the whole process. I just jumped on YouTube and watched a couple of videos to help prepare me to use the machine. Once I knew what to do it was actually quite easy to use, and I quickly realized that the De’Longhi EC685M was a quality piece of equipment. I started out by trying a little of everything. I made my own espresso, latte, and cappuccino on the first day giving them out to my family so I could continue to experiment. There is a lot of versatility, and adjustability to this machine. Drip tray is adjustable, frother is adjustable, etc. There is a little bit of a learning curve, but I like the fact that the more I use it the better I can become and the more different types of drinks I will be able to make. It is most definitely an easy to use difficult to master type situation. If you are at all interested in making your own espresso drinks at home I highly recommend looking at the De'Longhi EC685M Dedica Deluxe Pump Espresso Machine. It is built well, small, versatile, and most importantly WILL SAVE YOU MONEY. The money saved from skipping the coffee stand every morning will pay for this in no time. Don’t be intimidated like I was. Give it a try!

I love the design of the De'Longhi - DEDICA Espresso Machine. The stainless steel looks great in my kitchen and compliments other appliances. It is really easy to setup. Doesn't take much time at all. Since the surface is stainless steel, cleaning is a breeze. Most stains can be wiped away with minimal effort using a moist rag. The De'Longhi - DEDICA Espresso Machine with 15 bars of pressure ensures you create the perfect cup of espresso every time! Prior to using the De'Longhi - DEDICA Espresso Machine I did not drink espresso much at all, and if I did I would not make them at home. Now, I can experience a wonderful espresso any time I want, without leaving my house. My favorite, and perhaps most used, feature is the milk frother. I love hot chocolate! Especially when it's cold outside. This De'Longhi - DEDICA gets the milk nice and hot in seconds. All I have to do is add the chocolate and stir. Delicious! Best Buy return policy is only 15 days for this item. Once open part was missing and called company. Had to send our receipt in and now waiting for part to even use the machine. Very frustrating it is brand new and expensive and we can't even use.

Was difficult to use and hard to remove the pieces. Had to return.

This is my first espresso machine, so I was eager to give this a try. The setup was pretty easy, but since there are limited buttons and lights, you must use the instruction manual to make sure you are modifying the correct feature such as water hardness, espresso temperature, and stand-by mode. These 3 buttons/lights also are used to diagnose issues with the machine. I like how this machine includes 3 coffee filter holders: 1 cup, 2 cup, and coffee pod. I used the scoop to determine how many coffee beans I would need to make the correct amount of grounds. At the other end of the scoop there is a presser to help compact the grounds into the coffee filter holder. How much pressure is applied to the grounds can determine how strong or weak the espresso will be. Since the presser does not have any way to determine the correct pressure, there is a short learning curve to determine the correct technique. The only things that need improvement are how long the steamer/froth takes to warm the milk, and the light weight of the machine. Since the machine is so light, it moves around while tightening the filter holder in place. Overall, I would recommend this espresso machine to a non-connoisseur of espresso who does not like to pay steep prices at the coffee shop. If you have a more refined taste or are looking for the perfect cup of espresso, then you should look at the pricier machines.

Loving my De’longhi Dedica deluxe!! I thought it was going to be hard & take practice & time to learn how to froth my own milk,I’ve only tried with whole milk I want to try with milk alternatives soon, but nope super easy got it on the first try, has been a perfect cup every time! I like the slim design doesn’t take up much space, stainless steel matches the rest of my kitchen. You can make 2 shots at once or only one if you want, comes with scoop, tapper, has a storage to warm up your mug for cappuccinos & a water tank so you don’t have to fill up every time. It took a few tries to get the measurements right for my taste liking, but also provides instructions on how to make a better cup! My boyfriend is also loving says we are saving money & only takes a few minutes to brew
