Horribly inconsistent

Machine would freeze during the warming stages and ultimately put out cold water. Water would backflow into the steam wand and just spray streams of water instead of steam, overflowing the frother cup, etc. Let 4 people try to use it over the course of a few weeks and never once got the same espresso. Returned this unit along with the $100 in accessories to properly use it and switched to an automatic machine instead

Great coffee maker choice

The espresso side of the machine was actively turning itself on and spilling water everywhere. Essentially, it was trying to make an espresso without anyone touching anything. It would cycle through until all the water was gone, which created a mess on the counter and all over the floor, not to mention a dangerous situation as its just randomly pumping out hot water and anyone could be walking by when this happens. Over the next three days I spoke with four different customer service reps, did a video conference with another, emailed with at least two other people, sent them pictures, etc. All this to just be told that the unit is out of stock and they have no idea when it will be back in. So they'll refund my money. But I won't get even a confirmation on that until a supervisor approves that and then it goes to another department. I should also mention that Delonghi couldn't even find my warranty information. I had to send them a screenshot of the email they sent me confirming the registration. All in all, the unit was fine and the reps were nice people, but the process and broken procedures have soured me on the company. Do yourself a favor and spend a few more bucks to get a better machine.

Great Beginner Product!

There are coffee grounds on every surface despite the “Inspected by Best Buy” tape. I’m really disappointed to be receiving my coffee maker in such a condition and there was clearly no effort to even clean the product before it was sent to me.
