Awesome Coffee Maker

Don’t buy this. Just don’t.

This worked great for the first month maybe and then the pump stopped working. The coffee side was great but the espresso side did not work. It comes with a warranty so we got our replacement machine and the first time we used it, the pump was already starting to break. We brought it right in to Best Buy and swapped it for the Breville. Couldn’t recommend the Breville more. Do not waste your money on this.

Mind of it's own!

I did not expect much for the price, .................................here is the twist, 9 months later without my participation in below described operations, it starts and stops by itself, adjusts time and brew size to it's own liking, (best to keep that unit on the leash by unplugging from socket) Has a mind of it's own and I wonder what's next? That's a smart technology, isn't it? GET EXTENDED STORE WARRANTY IF YOU PLAND TO USE THIS PRODUCT FOR A WHILE. Good Luck All!

A bit disappointing

This machine gave me a headache

I followed all instructions for first use. Within two days, the espresso light stopped flashing to notify whether the machine was preheating. I had similar issues with the frother/steam light. The espresso never poured at a normal rate. It was a slow drip despite trying all troubleshooting suggestions, including different espresso grounds, light tamping, etc. The drip coffee was good but I wouldn’t spend $300 for the coffee maker.

Not the machine I had hoped it would be

Very slow. it would take so long for the steamer to heat up that the espresso would cool significantly. Never timed it but close to 3 or 4 minutes. It would also fill the drip try during steaming. I assume it may have been a defect. I returned it after 3 days and a number of attempts. Replaced it with the less expensive Espresso only model ECP3630 and it works like a champ.

Don't recommend.

Owned for 7 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.At first this machine was awesome, the coffee was great, 6 months later after descaling the drip coffee side and doing everything instructed, the drip coffee won't work anymore. no matter what I do the water is just sitting in the reservoir. I'm gonna have to contact warranty to either try to fix it or get a new one. I'm so disappointed given the price paid.

Great espresso and coffee maker machine

There is a learning curve with this machine but once mastered, you are set for a tasty ride. We use it at least 3 to 5 times per day at home. One thing, you have to do is descale de machine every 200 espressos or so, super important

Broke down after less than 3 weeks!!

Today suddenly all the coffee, bold and auto lights will NOT STOP BEEPING. I will be returning this item, as DeLonghi has no decent troubleshooting guide, and since I use bottled water, I know it doesn't need descaled (which is not the light that is flashing BTW). Soooo irritated. I don't use this everyday, so I got maybe 12 days of actual use out of it before it started this nonsense. I had a DeLonghi Magnifico before, but I wanted the option to make drip coffee, as well as espresso. What a mistake.

The price is right

My only complaint is that I wish the espresso machine shut off automatically. You must watch it to make sure the shot is done. I wish the coffee maker did single servings instead of just a whole pot.

Not what I expected

So disappointed

The function for heating the water for the espresso is shown as a flashing light and then goes solid when it's hot and ready to brew. The light is solid as soon as you turn it on. It worked properly 4 times and then stopped. This is the second machine with the same issue. We will be returning it and looking at some other brands. We had contacted De Longhi and were told to try a reset, that worked once.
