Great, At First...

For the past 3 months the machine has worked fine. Now, mid-January, the pre-heating light no longer works, and the overflow reservoir fills after each use. Is it making espresso, yes, but for how long? In my opinion, not worth $280 for a limited one-year warranty.

Don't waste your money. Expensive junk.

Thankfully we had the protection plan on it and were able to replace it for a fee. Fast forward two years and the replacement unit has gone bad too. Both times the heating unit stopped working. You'd expect more for a $300+ coffee maker.

Cheap materials. Broken in less than 1 year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The coffee maker worked fine for less than 1 year. The espresso is good and so far no issues, but drip coffee failed because of a thermal fuse. This component is supposed to cut off in case the temperature is >214C, but for some reason if you descale or brew more than one time, the fuses open and the machine doesn't brew anymore; it's a design problem. Drip coffee also generate a lot of steam and I noticed that plastics are cheap and they get deformed over time. Again espresso is ok so far, but I cannot use all the functionality of the machine... tired of replacing fuses. I would suggest to go for a basic espresso maker eventually from the same brand but definitely stay away and buy a drip coffee maker from another brand.

Does not produce hot espresso

The espresso side of the machine is horrible. It does not produce hot espresso. Even after turning it on and letting it warm up for 20 minutes....the espresso is not hot. Horrible machine. Shame on you Delonghi for claiming this is an espresso machine. Save your money and spend more on a machine that actually works and gives you a nice hot espresso.

Delonghi is Awful!!!!!

These Five Star Reviews Are Astounding

For that sticker price, we went with the Bella Pro Series. This thing is ridiculously expensive for what it offers. Small water reservoir, no low-water-level indicator, no automatic shot pour, warm shots, small drip tray, cheap plastic tamp, no hot water dispenser, horrible milk frother, etc etc.

Leaks

Second machine, same problem

Unfortunately, we already returned the first one because the espresso button stopped flashing when turned on to heat up water. When we turned it on, it would just be solid. We didn’t know when the water was hot enough. Now, we are on number 2 and are having the same issue. Looks like we will be returning it and looking for a different machine. We are done wasting our time with this machine that appears to be poorly made.

What a fraud!

This is very annoying. Also the frothed break down. It’s no worthy of the price. Very annoying and disappointing. I thought that buying a DeLonghi was a good decision but it’s a nightmare.

Machine malfunctions after 3 months

Three months later, the clock keeps resetting, coffee functions reset themselves and the machine beeps and malfunctions constantly. We want to be able to use the basic function where you set the brew time and have fresh coffee at 5 am each morning, but sadly, this expensive machine can’t reliably do this. Don’t waste your money.

Poor quality

I changed out a few part delonghi suggested but the fix only lasted a day. Delonghi then offered 25% off of a new machine but I couldn’t justify spending more money on a bad machine. Spend your money elsewhere.

bad water pump
