Haven't had an opportunity to try the espresso features yet but it makes a good pot of coffee. The pot is smaller than most it seems. While it says 12 cups, you're more likely gonna get 3 or 4 8oz mugs. So if you are a *pot a day* drinker, you'll be making 2.

Love that we can make an expresso or a whole pot of coffee! The steamer works excellent and this is a great entry level expresso maker for a great budget price. Only thing you need to keep in mind is the beans you use for expresso, we have to stay to a certain bean type for the expresso side otherwise some beans can be too oily and clog the expresso, I think this is pretty universal but this is our first expresso machine.

We owned the older version until it broke, it lasted a while so we decided to upgrade to a new model. The first one arrived with the pitcher broken but customer service at store was very attentive and order us a new one. The machile looked nice but it was loud and leaked more than our other one. We would refill the water tank every day. We returned it because it felt like it wasn't for me.

Easy to use and makes great coffee. The only thing I do not like is you have to push stop button for the water to stop when making expresso

This coffee machine does not automatically turn off. Also for some reason it's missing a plug for the drip tray so it kinda makes a mess if gets too full. It's a good machine but seems like it could have been better.

Wish it had a few more features overall but it makes good coffee and good espresso for the price. Overall very happy with the coffee maker so far.

Is the best coffee machine. For me, the best coffee machine. Delicious coffee at any time in just a few minutes. Different ways to enjoy a delicious coffee. I recommend it 100 percent.

We had a coffee machine with a grinder and that made great coffee, but it was time to get a new one and I wanted to get the same kind. That did not happen when I saw this. I for one like an Americano or any of those specialty drinks. SO I figured I looked in to this machine. It looked fancy, but not as fancy as the easy ones seen going for a lot more but everything I read was this is a good quality machine. So I figured I'd go for it. Best buy got lucky and I also had to buy a grinder, go figure but so far no complaints and great tasting coffee. Just make sure bold is off unless you like super strong coffee and I mean super strong.

I love both having a pot of coffee to have multiple cups of coffee and lattes and cappuccinos through the day and evening. This seemed like a great way to have both with minimal counter space. The idea is great. But... It is a generally good drip coffee maker. It has better than normal accessibility for the water which pours in from the front swing-out on the right side of the machine. The swing-out also houses the filter which can use either the included above-average gold mesh filter or a paper cone filter. It has a "Bold" brew mode which helps for smaller amounts of coffee by slowing down the brew speed. Overall, the coffee brewer is similar to a better-than-average drip machine, but does not compare to higher-end brewers. The Espresso side is completely manual. That means that it pours your shot for as long as you hold the button. This can be both good and bad - you choose your shot size. It steams for as long as you hold the steam button. Hot water is available by pressing both buttons. The included tamper is flimsy plastic and seems like it would be easily broken with normal tamping. The filter cups are double-walled cups which are very forgiving of imperfect dosing and tamping as they will control the pressure quite well for under-dosed shots (but do not compensate for over-tamped/over-dosed shots). The first drawback is that it truly is two separate machines in one housing. While that seems like an advantage at first - you can brew coffee and make espresso at the same time, the problem is in the power limitations. A normal household socket can only supply about 1600W total power. To meet that power maximum, both machines are lower power than a good standalone machine, meaning that they take a longer time to heat up. This shows somewhat on the coffee brewing where it's a bit slow and can be a bit under-temperature during brewing, but really hurts the espresso side where the heating time for water and steam is quite long, and unpredictable. As others have noted, the espresso control lights are supposed to blink until the unit is heated up and ready. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they don't. So you pretty much end up guessing if you've given it enough time to be hot enough. It's easy enough to tell if the steam is hot enough, not so much for your espresso shot. If the light decided to not give proper indication (which seemed to be most of the time), you just have to give it a nice long wait to be sure you're not pouring the shot too cool. The frother is a complicated mess. It has an outer metal-wrapped plastic sheath sealed with an o-ring around an inner plastic nozzle. While this arrangement probably helps make frothing simpler, it also makes cleaning a chore. You need to twist off the sheath, clean the inside of the sheath, clean and wipe the plastic nozzle and put it all back together every single time to avoid nasty old milk going sour inside. I've used simple frothing wands like on a Breville Express or Bambino, with no problems getting good foam, and are *much* easier to clean with a simple wipe-down of a wet cloth. This overly-complicated frothing wand seems to gain little while creating a lot more work. Others have mentioned the drip tray and spills. A tremendous amount of water ends up in the drip tray from over-pressure releases or something. There's a spout into the back of the tray which pours water into it. If you try to dump the drip tray too quickly after making an espresso, it will keep pouring out onto your counter. Because it's a small drip tray, it will easily overflow and pour dirty coffee water all over your counter if you don't dump it after every espresso. Or perhaps it will overflow just enough to pool underneath the unit and make nasty stains. Regardless, you're probably going to end up with spills. I ended up returning this - it's a great idea, but just does not work well and neither side works well enough to justify the price.

This is an excellent and affordable coffee machine. It does everything well with very low maintenance. I would def recommend if you are looking for a well equipped coffee machine.

Stylish and a good size for my small apartment kitchen. Fits nicely under the cabinet to save counter space and the filter swings out for easy filling and clean up. Makes great filter coffee and the milk foamer works like a charm. My only complaint is with the espresso side. I've owned other smaller, less expensive DeLonghi machines and other appliances and I'm a fan of the brand but this is not those. That side never seems to get hot enough or as hot as the filter side and the pressure seems lacking. We've tried ground espresso (Lavazza) and Illy cialde (filter pods) and have yet to have a truly good espresso. I don't recommended anyone *not* buy this machine but would probably think twice before I bought it again for myself.

Makes great tasting coffee. Easy to use and clean. This is a good appliance to experiment with different coffees. Works great with freshly grinded and already grinded coffee!
