Customers consistently note the Dinamica Espresso Machine's LatteCrema milk frother and ease of use as significant positives, with many appreciating the simple cleanup and user-friendly options. The self-cleaning features and customization options are also well-received. However, some customers find the size and price to be drawbacks.

I have to say, I really didn’t know what to expect from the De'Longhi – DINAMICA. I’ve never played around with a fully automatic espresso maker. The short version?? I am completely blown away. My wife thinks I’m going to leave her for this coffee machine. Let’s get into the details…
First off, the packaging is incredibly secure. I expect solid packaging when something costs that kind of money on anything. I was not disappointed. I was a little worried about the size of the unit and how much of my counter it was going to take up when I first looked at the box. I was happy to find that some of that bulk was protection for the unit.
The unit itself is elegant. It has a great modern look. It’s heavier than I expected, but after I thought about all the components involved in this beast it made sense. Definitely not full of cheap lightweight parts. It is definitely larger than any standard coffee pot, but it tucks nicely into a corner under my cabinets. It takes some space to have a built-in bean hopper/grinder and water container.
I struggled a bit with the setup instructions at first. I was overwhelmed. There is a quick start guide, but I found it pretty useless. It mostly just referred me to the full manual. The full manual is pretty complicated to sort through. I highly suggest you just step away from the unit, sit down in a comfy chair, and actually read the manual. There are a gazillion features and settings to play with on this unit. If you take the time to learn how to use it, this machine will produce exquisite espresso-based beverages. Once I made myself slow down and read, it all came together.
Installing the water filter was easy enough. Just remember that you actually have to tell the machine that you installed a filter through the maintenance settings. The milk frother was also very easy to swap out with the simple hot water spout. Just pull one attachment straight off and put the other one on. Super easy.
As I first powered up the machine, I was caught off guard when it started spitting water out all over the place. I quickly learned that the machine runs a rinse cycle when powered on AND off. Always leave a cup under the spout if you don’t want to have to dump the drip tray every time you use the machine. It runs a one-time special long rinse cycle when you first turn it on. Have a decent sized cup to catch all that water. Once you get through all of that, you are pretty well set.
The machine is not quiet, but it’s also not obnoxiously loud. It has a lot of work to do. Between the grind, press, pressure, froth, etc, there is some noise. You won’t wake the house up, but it is does let you know it’s working.
The built-in grinder works very well. I looked through the used coffee pucks and found the grind to be very consistent. There is a fineness selector in the bean hopper that you can use to adjust the grind. There is a little section in the quick start guide that shows you what the coffee flow and crema should look like, and advises you to adjust the fineness of the grinder to achieve the correct extraction. It’s easy, just pay attention.
The manual says that you need to throw out the first 4-5 drinks it produces. I have no idea why, but they aren’t kidding. It took 5 shot of espresso before it really started to kick out the right extraction and crema. Just accept it and move on. Dump the first 5 shots and life is good.
Brewing is so much easier than I expected. I know it says automatic, but is it really? Yup! You literally just push a preset drink button and it churns out absolutely delicious beverages. If you want a little extra kick, you can make a quick strength adjustment on the fly at the push of a button. There are a ton of customization settings to play with. I find that I am perfectly happy with the default settings and likely won’t play around with it too much unless I’m just bored. It makes a great beverage right out of the box. More discerning coffee snobs might enjoy the challenge of tweaking things…I just want to not fall asleep on the way to work.
The milk frother works incredibly well. You can set the stiffness of your foam to match the type of drink you are making with the simple twist of a knob. Some people complain about the temperature of the milk, but keep in mind that they can only heat it so much or it would cook inside the unit and create a cleanup nightmare. They are doing it right. I set the machine to the high temp setting so the coffee is a little hotter. That helps offset the lower milk temp. After you make a milk drink, it will tell you to turn the knob to “clean” on the frother. When you do this, it will spit a little hot water through it to clean the tubes. You only need to do this after you make you last beverage. Just hit ESC on the until to cancel the cleaning cycle until you are done with your final drink. Remember to switch cups or you will end up with extra water in your drink!
There is a single beverage ramp in the bean hopper that lets you manually put a scoop of ground coffee in the machine. This is a great feature. It allows you to choose a different bean or switch to decaf for a single drink without having to switch beans in the hopper. I use this regularly for my after-dinner cup when I don’t want full caffeine so close to bed. Ya…I’m that old now… The manual will tell you how to set the machine to use this feature. It’s really easy…you just push a button like 5 times. Since it’s a one cup only option, the machine resets to use the grinder on the very next brew without you having to do anything. Love it!
Cleaning - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQcRFY-7UxM I’m just going to put this link in here for you. This is an excellent tutorial from the manufacturer that tells you exactly how to clean the unit. It is super easy and doesn’t have to be done every day. Follow these instructions and your unit should last a long time.
The bottom line is that this thing is incredible! If you put quality bean in this machine, it will produce coffee shop quality beverages at the touch of a button. I am beyond satisfied. Is it expensive? Absolutely. Is it worth it? Well, that’s up to you. If you are the $5+/day coffee chain habit person, and you will stop hitting the drive through every day, then it probably is. This machine would likely return its investment in about a year and then you really start saving some cash. If you have the extra cash and just want to be able to enjoy excellent espresso drinks at home, then I absolutely recommend this unit. As much as I love it, and as much as I think it’s a great discretionary investment for those who can afford it, don’t forget to ALSO support you small town local coffee shops! We need to keep them in business.

I thought I was buying a coffee machine that had four pre-sets for different people. But this coffee machine doesn’t have that. I also thought I was buying a machine that had Internet Wi-Fi capability to brew my coffee remotely. It doesn’t have that feature either. Those were the two things that made me want to buy this coffee machine. I was a little disappointed that this model didn’t have it. To be fair, I didn’t ask those questions of the sales rep. I just looked up the model online. I think this probably is an older model. I wasn’t expecting that.

I really enjoy this espresso machine and it is exactly what I was looking for in terms of automatic functionality. I think the Dinamica is a solid choice for those who what the utmost simplicity and wide variety of coffee choices without the hassle of a manual or semi-auto machine. The biggest drawback has been the difficulty in achieving the what I consider a really good cup of espresso or espresso based drink. For hard core coffee lovers, I think this machine will fall short of expectations and leave you wanting more from the machine.
Setup: So simple and convenient. Unfortunately, the main user manual is poorly written and can be hard to follow along. It seems scattered. This is coming from someone who reads very complex and detailed books for a living. The quick set up guides, however, are much simpler and straight forward but don't really give you a full understanding beyond getting it ready to use (obviously). Overall, it took me approximately 30 minutes to get the unit fully up and running and have a good understanding of all the removable/clean-able parts. Once you get it ready to use the rest is just a matter of understanding how to navigate the buttons and the automatic features of the units.
Design: The unit has good weight which makes it seem to have quality parts. It's not terribly large and looks pretty good on the countertop but not super luxe. Delonghi throws in some beans to start with but they're not particularly good. A charcoal filter is also included but I only add clean filtered water anyway so I opted out of it.
Milk container/frother: Really great feature and super easy to use. Unfortunately, I'm fairly disappointed in the quality of froth produced. It's quite thin and doesn't seem to incorporate enough steam into the milk. Using the same milk, I've had stand alone frother's do a much better job. Overall, I am really happy to have this feature and it stores easily in the fridge.
Grinder: Achieving the appropriate grind takes some playing around with as expected. With time I am overall content with the included grinder. Fortunately, Delonghi thought ahead and included the ability to add pre ground coffee into the machine so you could use a separate grinder.
Coffee/espresso: Overall, the coffee making in this machine is good. Way better the a "pod" system can produce and you can use fresh beans. For the espresso, I am still trying to perfect the cup. You can customize some options to help get the right espresso pour but I'm not confident enough tamping and pressure are applied internally. It would have been nice to have pressure adjustment settings. You can modify the strength which helps improve the overall flavor. Initially, I felt I was drinking very watered down espresso. Over time, I was able to improve this my adjusting the grind settings and strength of brew. I really enjoy the wide variety of drinks I can make. In addition, the ability to make "over ice" drinks is nice for the summers. The milk frother and espresso spouts are super adjustable so many cup sizes/heights which makes setup and pouring a breeze.
Cleaning: There aren't a ton of parts to clean and much of it is dishwasher safe. I really like the thought Delonghi put in to this. It's very easy to keep this machine clean and it automatically does a pre and post use rinse of the espresso spouts. The milk frother has a built in cleaning feature and you just wipe off the steamer when done. Cleaning is an absolute breeze and I really like that about this unit.
An important side note. The first unit I received had coffee ground all over the inside and outside of the unit. It wasn't just a little and the inside of the unit had it caked in to the bottom of the grounds tray. Delonghi responded quickly and smoothed everything over very quickly. They assured me this was a mistake and although the test the units prior to shipping, this was an oversight. I appreciate them standing by their product and resolving the issue rapidly.
Overall, I do recommend this unit. I think it takes some time to get used to but it will make a good cup of coffee and espresso. However, it's a pretty far cry from a high end manual or semi auto unit. Avid espresso fans will likely be disappointed. For me, the ease and simplicity make this a winner.

Awesome Expresso Machine with a Few Minor Cons

The De'Longhi Dinamica expresso machine is a wonderfully awesome device that makes delicious coffee drinks. It's like having a barista in your own kitchen. Yes the price is expensive, but it delivers.
Pros:
* Delicious coffee
* A number of already loaded recipes
* The milk froth is perfect - light and soft
* The machine cleans itself when turning on/off and after frothing milk
* The milk container is easily removable. Great to be able to store it in the refrigerator between uses
* The machine will let you know what it needs (empty grounds, add water, etc.)
* Water filter in the tank to ensure the best quality of water being used to make drinks
Cons:
* The water tank is pretty small. You will find yourself refilling it frequently
* The machine will only warn you when you are out of beans, not close to being out so make sure to check the bean hopper frequently or you may get a light coffee.
* Can be a little complicated to figure out all of the details, but once you do, it is simple to use.
Tips for Use:
* Keep a cup under the spout to make it easier to clean. When the machine turns on or off, or after frothing milk, the machine will pump hot water through to clean everything. The collection tray can fill quickly. Having a cup under the spout makes it easier to dump the water.
* Keep the milk container full and in your fridge. When needed, quickly plug it into the machine and away you go.
Yes, this machine is not cheap. But, it does make great expressos, cappuccinos, and many more drinks in the comfort of your home. You get great quality coffee for the price. You won't be disappointed.

This espresso machine makes it very easy to make coffee house style beverages without having to leave your home. It has many pre-programmed drink options. You are also able to customize your beverage of choice. I really like the latte button and the ability to dial in how thick you want the milk froth. There is no option for a larger pour coffee so I usually have to press the button twice. I also wish there was a way to fit a travel mug under the machine. The set up instructions were easy to follow. You can also test your water hardness and set your machine for that and it will help to reduce the frequency the machine tells you to clean it. The parts that need to be cleaned often are easy to access and the milk container can go right into the dishwasher. We have enjoyed sampling the many coffee drink options both hot and cold. Highly recommend this superhero like automatic espresso machine. We had a prior model from De'Longhi and they still have the highest quality hardware available. If you want incredible coffee house style drinks in the comforts of your own home, look no further than this model.

I have to say I am in love with the De'Longhi Dinamica with LatteCrema. It makes perfect coffee concoctions flawlessly. It's pretty easy to operate. My only problem is the setup can be a little tricky. I had leaks that sprayed but I figured it out. I wouldn't say this is for everyday use but I work early mornings. But weekends this baby sings in my house. If you want a premium cup of joe or a latte do yourself a favor and skip that long line at the local coffee shop. You won't regret it. Makes a nice variety of drinks. Happy brewing!!!!

First machine lasted two days and the milk frother stopped frothing and instead went to spitting a little bit of milk-water mix. The unit was no longer creating enough u der pressure to suck the milk all the way up the hose.
Returned to store with no issue. As they did kot have a replacement I went with refund and online order for next day delivery. Delivered on time and machine would not be able to suck in the water from the tank and I stead the pump making desparate noises. All troubleshooting tips for both issues did kot work. Frustrated customer, quality of this brand appears to be very poor

For the money, The experience was just ok and the middle tray was too short to catch all of the preground coffee . Mess. Also no matter how I adjusted it, the strength never really varied for the beans and you can only use one pre ground scoop at a time. Back to my bialetti.

I’ve been looking at an espresso machine for years but never bit. I enjoy lattes and cappuccinos, but I knew I didn’t want to be bothered with a manual machine. I decided to give this a try. I still use my single serve pod machine for a tall cup of joe, but this is my “treat” machine.
Out the box it easy to set up and get your first cup going. There’s even a sample bag of beans included. The default buttons are great for your typical drinks while the drink menu lets you dig in deeper to try other drinks and broaden your horizons. I’ve stuck with latte, cappuccino, and macchiato for now.
Milk based drinks are a joy and it’s nice you can pick your froth level. It’s also great that you can adjust the basic drinks to tailor the milk to coffee ratio. The coffee pucks the machine drops are great for tossing into the compost pile.
This machine does use about 4 ounces of water between the startup, milk, and shut down rinse. If you’re making a couple of drinks, it adds up. It’d be nice if the reservoir was a little bigger, due to this.
My primary complaint is the coffee could be hotter for my preference. I think they even realize that because the manual address coffee temp with things like heat up the cup, etc. The temp setting is already maxed out. I also wish I could make larger cup sizes. That’s probably the world of westernized tall/grande speaking. Plus, a taller drink would still have the hotness issue.
Overall, I’m happy with the machine and would recommend it to anyone that wants lattes at home without getting a barista degree.

Saving money daily with less trips to Coffee shops

The quick and easy review is if you either enjoy great coffee, or visit a coffee shop daily, or like me I love coffee and visit one daily this will save you money in the long run, as well as convenience of being able to make your favorite drinks at home.
The machine itself is gorgeous. Nice silver finish with an easy to use and intuitive LCD display. Its made extremely well with some heft to it. The machine itself weighs about 23 lbs. The footprint is relatively small for what you are getting so it doesnt take up a huge spot on your counter, or whereever you decide to put it. In the box you of course get the silver De'Longhi Dinamica machine, cleaning brush, water spout, jug, manual, test for hardness, and 18 Espresso and coffee recipes.
Initial set up is fairly easy with easy to follow instructions. My coffee shop favorite summer drinks are iced macchiatos which I can now make my own, but now that it is starting to cool down I am looking forward to making my own and experimenting with all of the hot cappucinos, and hot versions of my macchiatos. Currently I am loving the latte macchiato. Using the machine is very easy. With just a push of a button you get delicious coffee right in your house without having to deal with coffee shops, them getting your drink wrong, etc. The coffee drinks are extremely delicious. I cannot tell the difference between the big name coffee shops and the equivalent De'Longhi coffee. Its hard to express taste through written words, so Ill just say the drinks are great! Another cool thing is having family or friends over and ask them what there favorite coffee is, then being able to come out with their drink made to serve in a few minutes. And even if they request something you cant make you can always come up with an alternative since there are so many choices of coffee.
One of the biggest advantage now has to do with Covid. As you all know almost all places of business require face coverings. I have no problem wearing a mask despite it being pretty uncomfortable. Well with being able to make your drinks at home this is just one less thing you have to worry about when it comes to keeping your family same. Im fairly young, but have 2 parents at home that are in the co-morbidity population. So Ive been very careful to keep myself from catching it then God forbid bringing it home. Now I can strike off one place I visit daily that has risks.
They have also put a lot of thought and engineering into maintenance and cleaning of the machine as well so that it is as least complicated as possible. Some of the cleaning is done by the machine itself, especially if it has sat for a couple days without use. There are several components that need to be cleaned regularly, but are not hard at all if you just follow the well written instructions. And its well worth the time and effort to keep the machine up and running.
So like I said in the title its pays off in the long run in more ways than one. Saving time not having to wait in line at a shop with a mask on. Saving money not having to pay for your drink everyday. And being able to impress friends and family at parties and get togethers is a lot of fun also. Great tasting made to serve specialty coffee drinks at home.

First, DO NOT BUY
Second, VERY UNRELIABLE MACHINE.
Third, poor customer service.
My machine out of the box was not able to produce beverages with the mentioned temperature in the spec.
even with the highest temperature setting any milk beverages is 125 and below.
After many phone calls and video chat that I showed them that temperature is way below the advertised numbers, I got a approval to send it to the 3rd party repair center.
I have been told that I will get my coffee machine in a week. but based on tracking number it took 8 days to just get to the repair center due to very cheap shipping they used. and same time to get it back.
I would not buy anything that has a DeLonghi name on it.
