Got it on sale for $730 before tax. This is a great entry into high quality near professional espresso making. For the average consumer who wants higher quality espresso from the traditional pods or cheap $200 machines, this is a huge upgrade. I wouldn’t recommend this for crazed espresso enthusiasts. Watch YouTube videos and you’ll understand. Overall love this machine!

We ordered this to replace our Breville Barista Express that stopped functioning. The frothed on this machine is more powerful than our previous Breville and also brews the espresso a lot quieter. Built in tamper is also great! Only thing is that you have to scrape out the grounds in the espresso Portafilter after brewing and it’s pretty hot.

Am totally spoiled now. I don’t go a day without using it! Haven’t had any of the issues that some clients mentioned. Bought one for my father too and he also loves it. Very easy to use, good quality espresso, foaming tool gives ability to make whatever quality foam you want. Also very easy to clean. Not much set up required.

I had been debating between this and the Breville. After many hours of YouTube videos, reading reviews and consulting with friends, I pulled the trigger on this. This is definitely not an inexpensive purchase and I have to say that it is a really good machine so far. Why I went with this instead of Breville: 1) Frothing wand: You just literally let it stand by itself and it will create beautiful milk texture for latte art. You can still play with it but sometimes automation rules! 2) No mess tamping: As clean as it can be. Puts the correct amount of pressure and evenness. 3) Looks Elegant: The black and the stainless steel makes this look and feel way more expensive than it actually is. 4) Customization: Don't be fooled, you can truly customize this. The grinder may only have 5 settings but it is more than enough. Things that could be better: 1) I wish they added a temperature reader for frothing the milk. 2) Water tank in the back is a bit difficult to reach. Would be best if they had it on the side, or somewhere easily accessible.

I like this coffee machine as it is easy to use. The best function I like it that after the coffee beans were grind, it will automatically dropped to the holder and not spilling all over, We drink it twice a day. Worth to buy this coffee machine.

I already own the Magnifica XS. Saw this and though Delonghi had made something great even better. It looks fabulous in my kitchen. The grinder is an improvement, the steamer is superior as well. Too bad looks, grinding and steaming isn't all a great espresso machine needs. Problems: The pressure gauge only goes to the beginning of the espresso range. No matter how fine, how much or how hard I packed the beans, the gauge always goes to the same spot. Sometimes the espresso tasted burnt. That tells me it was over done, but the gauge was no help figuring it out. The Crema is so weak on this machine. My Magnifica XS runs circles around it. Watch a video online that shows the La Specialista in action and you will see the weak crema. The Magnifica XS is also far more convenient to use. The La Specialista has a double boiler and yet you can not steam and brew at the same time. Weird. Delonghi, you were close with this, but go back to the drawing board and get some decent crema, make a gauge that is actually responsive to what I do. A non pressurized basket would be nice as well. Nice job on the look though.....stunning

I am in love with my expresso machine definitely worth the investment I can honestly say that my coffees taste better than Starbucks. I know that it has paid its self off. I 100% recommend it. very easy to use

What a wonderful espresso machine. There is a learning curve, so be prepared to waste some beans. Once you get past the learning curve it does make some of the best coffee drinks. The portafilter requires washing and cleaning after each use or you risk having high pressure errors and wasting your grind. I would recommend this machine for your above average coffee lovers. If you are a “barista” you may want to look at other machines that have the ability to adjust your pulls/extractions.

Got this on a holiday sale. I will say it makes pretty impressive espressos all things considering this being a consumer product. Ease-of-use 10 out of 10. I’ve had no problems with this machine at all.

The De’Longhi makes excellent americano and expresso. The milk frother is excellent. The bean grinder and press are terrific. Can say enough goo things about this machine. Perfecto!

I liked coffee before I bought this, now I love it. This thing can do it all..... Once you dial in the settings, you will never need to hit the coffee shops again. 100% recommend.

User friendly and excellent milk frother. Easy to clean. Alternatives of expresso, Americano, Coffee and hot water for tea!

I’m really happy with this purchase! I had the Breville Oracle for years and this one has all the same great feature (and better steamer) at half the price. Other than the portofilter being alittle annoying to clean out and wishing it was alittle easier to refill the water, I have no complaints.
