I got this for my wife. Out of the box we had a little problem, but we got it fixed. So for we love it.

Great Product only issue was the Descaling Unit. Remember to always descale more than recommended.

Problems with it from the start returned it for another Delonghi combination Espresso/coffee pot. The pot spills when you pour it or fill the water tank. The display is now randomly changing the clock and the coffee maker has been switching on randomly. 0 for 2 on this brand and I wouldn't buy this brand name again.

It's not too tall so you won't have issues putting in coffee into the grinder but it will take some sizeable space on your countertop. But now everyone has larger kitchens so it should be fine. Usage -------- First is preparing the coffee grinder, put the setting at 3-medium and then use the filter like C2 or C3 (stronger) in the portafilter and place the portafilter below the grinder then close it. Once the grinding it done, you tamp it using the tamping lever and remove the portafilter. Use the mode selector to select the desired coffee and attach the portafilter to the appliance and close it then just push the OK button to make the beverage you selected. You can see that the operation is pretty straight forward. The coffee machine also lets you program your settings which is a great feature… The flat/froth milk dispenser is a great feature for making coffees and cappuccinos! The expresso shots and cappuccinos are really comparable to store quality! Delonghi makes quality product and this one is no exception. It is a little pricey but its well worth considering the high end aesthetics and the taste.

I will be honest. I really wanted to love this machine. I was deciding between this and the Breville Barista Pro and decided to go with this one due to the tamping station to eliminate mess. Although I love the tamping station, there are so many other things on this machine that frustrate me. First of all I started with a high quality coffee that was a medium dark roast. I went through almost the entire bag and no matter the grind size or dosage I could not pull a shot of espresso that tasted good or had a good crema. During the whole process the pressure on the machine would not go into the optimal zone. I believe this is mostly due to the fact that this machine has only 8 grind settings which limits your ability to dial in your espresso. I also believe with a smaller portafilter that this machine struggles with pulling even double shots. After I went through the first bag I debated on returning it but instead reached out to the manufacturer and tried another coffee bean. This time I tried an even more expensive freshly roasted coffee bean that ultimately pulled an ok shot of espresso. I finally got it in the optimal zone and was going to keep the machine. Over the next few days as I continued to pull shots and make lattes I realized there was no consistency. Each time I would brew a shot of espresso I was increasingly disappointed in the performance on this almost $1000 machine. I have yet to hear back from the manufacturer and will be returning this machine for one of its competitors. I think a better grinder with more grind settings would really make me love this machine. Although the tamping station is extremely convenient, I am extremely disappointed in the rest of the machine. One more note : it was hard to find any accessories for this machine if you want a more professional barista experience. Although this is a beautiful machine it lacks the most important requirement… the ability to get a good espresso.
