I certainly wasn't thinking it would be as large or as heavy as it is. This baby is huge even when it's closed. I've always wanted a grill/griddle for paninis, steaks, etc. Now I have one and I have nowhere to put it in my small kitchen to use it let alone space to store it. It is well packaged and protected for shipment. The parts are somewhat greasy and some even appear to be rusty looking. It comes with grill and griddle plates. This model does not come with waffle plates. It does come with a large grease drip cup. It is easy enough to figure out. Push the side button to release the plates for cleaning, changing. Turn the knob to lower/raise the top or turn the BBQ knob to allow the sides to lay flat. When laid out flat, you can use each plate separately with separate temp controls. You can also raise the top up so it doesn't rest on the food and acts as a broiler. There is a lot it can do. It is versatile. It is just so darned huge that I don't know that I will ever be able to really use it. If you have a lot of space and strength, this may be ideal for you.

This grill is so useful. I made breakfast with it for my father and later that day I switched plates to make some BBQ. I was looking for an outdoor grill, but this works very good in the meantime. I used to use the indoor grill from the boxer for many years, but this grill is far superior. It is also very easy to clean.

First off this grill/griddle is very well constructed, much better than the competition. I really like the fact that the griddle/grill can can split/fold back and use much like a mini barbecue grill. Each plate has its own temperature setting. The only issue I have and its minor is that connecting the plates aren't always easy to install. Overall I love it.
