    Great oven with OK toaster

This new generation of DeLonghi toaster ovens has features galore, unlike tabletop toaster ovens of the past. It is compact, stylish and electronic and large enough to bake a small pizza. As a toaster, it holds up to six slices of regular- sized bread, which it toasts evenly but takes a long time. I put this oven through the paces with toast, bagels and baked apples. I plan to try reheating pizza and baking potatoes, as well. This is a great option for a small family or for cooking small items. Pros Compact, using a rounded bump-out in the back to accommodate a small pizza, while conserving countertop space. Insulated, so it does not heat up the surrounding area unnecessarily even when cooking for long periods of time. Convection setting allows even cooking. Timed cooking capabilities and large clock display. Quick preheating. Comes with nonstick baking pan and pizza pan and one wire rack. Three rack positions allow you to bake more than one tray of food at a time (second rack optional). Attractive design, stainless and glass. Bake, convection bake, broil, reheat, toast, plus more! Cons Toast takes a long time to cook. You may have to set it for four slices to toast two. The glass door does not fold down flat, which may make it more difficult to get larger (taller) items into the oven. Not so intuitive; you may need to read the manual the first time you make toast!

Toaster oven had a heating element problem and clock would not set to 12:00 am. DeLonghi rep was very nice and oven was under warranty but I decided that a brand new appliance should not start out defective so I returned it.

This toaster oven has many great features but the biggest one is just how convenient it is. This is the first toaster oven our family has had and we are so impressed that this counter-top sized device can do the jobs of an oven, microwave, and toaster and it can do the jobs usually quicker and better. First impressions of this oven was that it felt very well built, the buttons, dials, and door all feel nice and not cheap at all. The instructions manual book that it came with was also very helpful without being full of confusing and useless information. And we learned very quickly that the directions were very right about certain things such as rack placement for certain foods, (we had a pizza get a little too dark but we learned the hard way and when we moved the rack down a notch it came out perfect). The size of this unit is also very deceiving as it does not give the appearance of being very big, but we have been shocked at the size of pizzas and other foods we have been able to fit with no problem. Another thing we liked about it was the fact that it has a bright light built in and the glass is very see thru compared to doors on ovens or microwaves. The settings and options dials were very easy to get the hang of and the unit really does most of the thinking for you. This product would really be great for just about anyone but the more I use it, the more I think about how perfect it must be for someone living alone or in a small apartment. There are still many people out there who do not have reliable, efficient, or safe ovens and this is a great solution. Or for the people who do have a reliable oven, they may still not want to use gas to heat up their oven for something small, this solves that issue and it makes your food quicker than an oven could as it does not take nearly as long to preheat as ovens do. I can also see bigger or busier families really benefiting from this product as well. Families that are always in a hurry and on the go, this unit can quickly get meals for breakfast, lunch, or dinner made without making a project of it. I am also really liking the different pans that this unit comes with, the size is really just perfect and they are very easy to keep clean. Overall, our family has been very happy with this product, we do not know how we went so many years without a useful appliance such as this in our kitchen, and we would highly recommend it.

The DeLonghi Toaster Oven is an attractive product and close friends give this brand “high marks” for quality, so I was really looking forward to using this oven since I had never owned a toaster oven before. Upon opening the box, I was impressed with how well it was packaged and everything was in the box, with the instruction booklet being right on top. There were no parts to assemble. The instructions were easy to understand and you just needed to set the clock. There was a nice reference table that showed the settings needed for the various cooking functions … toasting, baking, using convection, and roasting … and even for settings for making pizza, cookies, etc. I started off simple, since never having a toaster oven before, and made toast. Turned out perfect and was faster than my regular toaster! I’ve also made steaks, frozen cookie dough, and muffins … all of which have turned out perfect and it was much faster and easier than using my wall oven. Cleaning the DeLonghi Toaster Oven is easier than cleaning my full-size wall oven too … some cleaning you do by hand, and the “parts” are easily cleaned in my dishwasher … I love that! The recipe cooking reference and sample recipes was nice to have as well. I wish there were more recipes in the guide, though. Overall it is a great product and I love it. I have enjoyed using it and will get a lot of enjoyment from the DeLonghi Toaster Oven in the future. My friends were right … it is a great product! The only negative (and NOT against the product) is now I have another appliance on my counters.

I own a few Delonghi products and they have all been great products. The Livenza toaster oven is no different. It’s pretty spacious and cooks my food fast and evenly. It has 9 preset cooking options and I love the digital display for the temp. It’s easy to program and use. It also has an oven light like a traditional oven so you can see how your food is cooking inside most toaster ovens of this size don’t include one. It also comes with a pizza tray and a bake pan.

This oven has a lot of features that I haven’t all tried. But I have used the toasting, baking and warming. It is very easy to do and we started to use this over the main oven. We have a convection oven feature with our microwave and the Delonghi as it seemed easier and it cooked the food thoroughly. We have a college bound teenager and they said they were already taking this to there dorm.

    De'Longhi - A Winner!

First Impression: Stylish, modern, beautiful looking stainless steel finish. De' Longhi a name you can trust has done it again. This well made oven can do it all, to include baking, toasting, defrosting, pizza making, grilling, broiling, warming and baking cookies to name a few. This oven has 3 slotted tray positions, which allows you to select the proper height for whatever your cooking needs are. Or you can rely on the advice of the instruction manual which recommends which shelf level you should utilize for your baking, cooking and warming needs. The first function I tested was the toast function which requires you to put the wire rack on the 2nd tray level. All of have to do is chose the number of pieces of toast and then set the "toast color". The De' Longhi capable of making 6 pieces of toast at one time. That's a lot of toast. Perfect toast every time. The De' longhi has a convection setting, which circulates hot air in the oven during the cooking process. I have this function in my regular oven and its a great feature. Your food cooks with what I can describe as an "evenness". My favorite? Pizza. I purchased a self rising frozen Publix Pizza and put it on the pizza tray. After choosing the pizza function on the digital dial, input the pizza diameter, the crust type (using the time dial), and whether the pizza was fresh or frozen. It turned out perfect. The crust was golden brown, the toppings were piping hot and the crust had a moisture content to it which I have never tasted before. The only issue with the pizza tray is that in order to avoid cutting or damaging the non-stick surface I had to remove the finished pizza and transfer it to another plate or surface to cut it. If you cut the pizza in its dedicated pizza pan, you will damage it for sure. It should go without saying that you need to be careful when transferring the pizza to another plate or cutting surface as not to burn yourself. The next function I tested was the Cookie function. Temperature and heating are automatically selected, but you can easily override the function. We made simple sugar cookies, and since we only had 1 cookie sheet, we did out cookies in two different batches. The verdict? Fantastic tasting and we didn't heat up the entire kitchen as when we use our full sized oven. Our kitchen was remarkably cooler.Timer was set at 11 minutes, but honestly we kept an eye out on the cookie batch during the baking process, as this was a trail run to see how the oven operates. Be advised that the inside oven light remains on during the cooking process. An on off switch probably would have been a better idea. As with all "new" ovens it is necessary to burn-in the empty oven before actually using it for first time food preparation. The reason for this is that manufacturers use substances inside the ovens during the manufacturing process. During the burn in periods, you will smell an odor from the oven. The smell is normal, so be warned that you may wish to ventilate your kitchen area. The bottom line you may ask? Perfection. The De' Longhi Livenza convection oven is an awesome kitchen appliance that is a welcomed additional to my kitchen. Its stainless steel finish goes well with any kitchen décor. I know that it will be perfect for you too. The cooking process is absolutely quicker, easier and will save you time. Its definitely worth the price and it's a fantastic product. Absolute awesomeness!

This is a decent compact oven/toaster with multiple cooking features. The DeLonghi name makes it a bit more of a premium brand which shows in the pricing, but the cooking quality is on par with other standard brands. It only took about 4 minutes to preheat to 450 degrees and the front glass does not get hot, which is good for families with little kids that might roam the kitchen. I usually cook on tin foil (to save cleanup) and my frozen sausages cook evenly. However, I once forgot the tin foil and cooked at the same temp/time but the bottom of the sausage patties were severely burnt when cooked on the included pan. Some things I dislike: there was a slight humming sound, not only during cooking but also after it had finished running for a few minutes. I also wish I could set the default bake time/temp when turned on. I cook the same items every morning at ‘bake 7 minutes for 450 degrees’. My old (and cheaper) compact oven kept the previously used settings in memory which made it convenient. With the Delonghi, I have to fiddle with the dial since it is has a preset default of 1 hour and 360 degrees.

This convection oven is definitely an upgrade from our last one. It’s bigger than your average sized convection oven so you can do more with it. The settings help you cook things without having to worry about temperature and time. It even has a round tray for pizza and such. We tried baking cookies using our own settings, and they came out a little over baked. However, when we used the cookies setting, they came out nice and soft! We’ve used this using its different settings (bake, grill, toast), and it hasn’t disappointed us yet. This is definitely a great buy!

This is my first toaster oven-type of appliance and I wish I would have gotten one sooner. It's super handy and really easy to use, there are many times I just don't want to deal with a big regular oven and this thing makes it easy. At first I was worried it was too small, but it is the perfect size for a typical frozen pizza. It's easy to use, easy to clean, doesn't heat up the whole house, and looks great doing it. Mine sits out on a granite counter top adjacent to a high-end oven and microwave installed in the wall and it doesn't look cheap.

The DeLonghi - Livenza oven is amazing. Prior to having the DeLonghi oven, we had a cheaper oven that went out on us. We got our hand on the DeLonghi oven and I must say that it was worth it. Not only is the oven elegant looking, but it feels like quality machinery as it it very sturdy compared to other cheaper models. I love the digital display on it. It makes it so easy to make adjustments and keep track of timing as it's a good size display. Before actually cooking with the oven, make sure you follow the instructions and turn it on for 30 minutes. This is supposed to be done due to a coating of some sort inside of the machine. What I immediately noticed when I did this was that the DeLonghi - Livenza oven did not make the apartment unbearably hot like my old cheap oven. This was actually one of the reasons why I didn't really like using ovens like these. The DeLonghi - Livenza sure solved that problem. It is easy to use, and just makes the kitchen look so much better. My six year old son made a batch of cookies with this oven. That's how easy it is to use. Makes cooking so much easier! I would definitely recommend the DeLonghi - Livenza oven to anyone.

Ever needed an appliance that does the same job as a grill, a full-fledged conventional oven, and toaster in one? The DeLonghi Livenza Oven could be such an appliance for you. With several settings for temperature, number of items cooked, and time, there's likely a setting that will take care of what your smaller-scale needs are for cooking. Having performed several runs in our Livenza, the results have been superb each time. What's more, the included instruction book comes with not just these settings but where to place the cooking rack and pan to achieve the best results. This isn't your tiny little toaster oven from 20 years ago -- this is a full-fledged appliance that's more than capable of tackling anything from several pieces of toast to heating up a small pizza.

The DeLonghi convention/toaster oven is awesome. It has many cooking options, but remains simple to use at the same time. Easy bake a pizza, make toast, heat up frozen food, it does it all. And it looks great sitting on the kitchen counter. The included recipe book is a great addition as well. The top of the unit does get very hot when cooking so make sure you don't have anything sitting on it when it's operating. If you are needing a great, multipurpose convection/toaster oven, look no further.

I have a conventional toaster/oven that I have owned for many years, and it still works well. When I read about the features of this DeLonghi, I wanted to give it a try, and I have not been disappointed. Before you even open it, you see a device that will look good on a kitchen counter. It's footprint is smaller than my old oven, yet it has more cooking space and, of course, more features. Included are a wire rack, nonstick coated pizza pan and a nonstick baking pan. There is also a great manual (rare these days), which includes detailed instructions for use of the oven, as well as recipes for a variety of dishes than can be cooked in it. There is a "keep warm" feature, a great convenience. Controls are up front and easy to read. One feature I especially like is the interior light! No convection cooking yet; but for what I have tried, it has worked very well. Of my favorites so far, using the included nonstick pizza pan and the easy settings, I enjoyed a frozen California Kitchen BBQ chicken pizza in a relatively short time. Crust was done very well and toppings were hot. It's also great for hot sandwiches. I loaded up ham and Swiss on multi-grain bread and put it in the oven using the baking pan. The outcome was a terrific sandwich: bread was perfectly toasted, the ham was warm, and the cheese was melted perfectly. An additional plus is you don't have to use the big oven in your stove.....saving energy and money. I am loving this DeLonghi oven and would definitely recommend it.

This is a great “big” oven, to call it a toaster oven is an injustice. Seriously though before you purchase make sure you have the room to either leave it out on the counter or store it somewhere with easy access. Before opening I taped out the dimensions on the countertop, something to consider. The directions also have you, before initial use, run the oven to burn off any protective coatings on the interior metal surfaces. I recommend doing this under your range hood our in a protected area outside if possible. There are several custom settings from cookies to pizza and a convection setting that pretty much cover all the bases. While this won’t replace your normal oven/range it is a nice alternative. The unit heats up very quickly, from off to 350 in under 3.5 minutes. The LCD display is easy to read and well lit. The knobs and functions are pretty intuitive but as always the instruction book will make sure you get the best usage. So far, we have done pizza, cookies, chicken, biscuits, salmon and of course toast. Overall cooking was pretty even, in the case of pizza the top of the pepperoni burned a little bit but with a time adjustment that was resolved. Cookies came out great, only down side is capacity versus our normal oven. Chicken and salmon came out great, we tinkered with convection settings which worked equally as well and cut overall cooking time. Biscuits again came out great. The unit gets hot, something to think about when considering placement. Because of power requirements you will want an outlet that is dedicated to usage i.e don’t use an outlet that is already overloaded. This is a great kitchen tool to supplement a stove or microwave, I would recommend.

I'm super happy with this oven. It is a gorgeous piece of equipment and it has a nice compact footprint. The materials and construction are really high quality. It's about the size of a normal toaster oven. The controls are minimalistic but easy to use; you just dial up what you want it to do: toast, bake, reheat, etc, and there's another knob to adjust the time and temperature. It's very clever how the adjustment knob has a "set" button in the middle of it that easily toggles between which settings you want to adjust. It does a great job of toasting bread. The done-ness settings seem to be right on. It also does a fantastic job cooking frozen pizza. It's super convenient and the pizza comes out perfect -- the toppings are hot and the crust is crispy. One of my favorite features is "reheat." Some foods get soggy or chewy or otherwise awful when reheated in a microwave -- this solves that nicely. My leftover tacos heated up really nicely! Overall, this is a very high-quality appliance with some great features.

This oven worked better than I hoped it would. I have a small family and this oven works well to cook meals and reheat leftovers, I use this more than the full size oven now. It took some playing around, but the presets work well for toast, frozen pizza, reheat, and cookies. I used It several mornings to heat up my breakfast sandwich instead of using the microwave, which made for a better tasting sandwich. I don’t usually look forward to cooking at all, but this DeLonghi Convection oven makes it more enjoyable. I look forward to many more meals cooked in this oven.

Let me start off by saying that I've used an older toaster oven for years. Very basic, I choose the temperature, bake/broil, and the timer. This one had a small learning curve for me, its basically a replacement for my full size oven for smaller items. Its slightly larger so I was not able to fit it where my last toaster oven was. It came with 4 trays! One was a wire grill, one a solid tray (no holes), one a pizza tray, and the other was a crumb catcher for the bottom. I def enjoy the extra options, my biggest issue was finding places to store all this! The LCD screen is great because you know exactly what you are getting. Previously I was just getting close to the temperature that I wanted. Now I can pick settings of bake, broil, convection, keep warm, pizza, cookies. It heats quick and cooks just how you expect it to. I look forward to using this for things I normally would use my gas range for. It heats up much quicker and the controls are much more efficient. On top of its functionality, it has a sleek modern look to it that improves the appearance of my kitchen. This is definitely a nice a nice addition to my appliances.

    Not Your Average Toaster Oven

Our family has been through many toaster ovens over the years. We’ve heavily used them on a daily basis for small basic toast jobs to full oven backups. After putting this one through its paces, our family agrees it’s a winner. First of all, its beautiful design fits right in with all other modern kitchen appliances. But its ability to evenly cook makes it a keeper. Whether toasting bread or nuts, baking small batch cookies or re-heating meals, we found very even browning for all food types. This has been a problem in the past. You would put in your toast & have to spin it half way through the cycle for an evenly cooked outcome. Also, the inside light stays on during the entire cooking process. This is a big plus. The unique design allows up to a 12” pizza. This was surprising, as the appliance doesn’t take up any more room than our last toaster oven, yet it can accommodate a much larger size pan. Clean up is fairly easy. The inside surface wipes clean without much elbow grease. There is one design negative. When the door is completely open, it doesn’t lie flat, which hinders the ability to easily pull the crumb tray out. The controls/dials are mostly intuitive, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to change cooking time/temp once the cycle has started. We’ve been able to easily add time or change baking temp mid-process with other units. Overall, this is a great-looking appliance that appears well-built, cooks evenly and should last the test of time.
