In only a few short years I’ve gone from rarely drinking coffee (and cheap coffee when I did) to grinding my own beans! The De’Longhi Magnifica Evo has given me the ability make all the coffee shop drinks at home for much less. The setup process is a little involved and can be a little intimidating for someone that’s not to familiar with these type of machines. I definitely recommend reading the directions throughly, though it’s not hard, it’s definitely more involved than a regular coffee maker. The machine has a built in replaceable water filter and comes with a test strip to test the hardness of your water so you can set the machine up accordingly. It also includes a bottle of descaling liquid for when it needs to be cleaned. The process of brewing different coffee drinks is a little bit of trial and error I’ve found. The manuals give good instructions on making espressos but not so much on other drinks. This really is only an issue if you plan to use different coffee beans and not just one. For example if you just dump a bag of beans into the grinder area and that’s all you will use, then you’ll be good to go. But if you use one coffee for over ice and one for hot and a different one for espresso, you kinda have to figure it out on your own how much to put in for each drink. This is the one area I think De’Longhi could improve the manual/quick start guide or even have instructional videos on their website for people who are new at using machines such as this. Those little things aside, the Magnifica Evo is an awesome machine that will turn you into a coffee connoisseur!

This makes making coffee a breeze. I had searched for a maker that automatically did the frother for each style drink. This does that. If I want a latte it knows how much to add and if I want a cappuccino it knows how to much to add. It makes it so simple to make and go. Here's where I am torn. It cleans the nozzles of the coffee area every time the machine starts and every time it shuts off. So although I like this feature it's a pain in the neck because to avoid having to empty the tray every three seconds (because it fills with water) I have to leave a mug there. And one time I forgot my coffee because I was running around all over the place and it had cleaned the nozzles right into my cup. Now this is adjustable, the amount of time to leave it on but it was kinda a pain to figure out. Also, you can't just froth milk or make say a cappuccino with double expresso shot in it. You have to do an expresso and then do the cappuccino. It is also limited to height of the cup under it. So for instance I got that red cup from Starbucks. It's the perfect one for on the go but it doesn't fit under the unit. So to fill that cup I have to use a smaller cup and then do two cups of that in the one red cup. I do love how the ground coffee ends up in a nice little pad that flops into the chamber below. I have been saying those ground up coffees for my plants. There is a red indicator on the metal tray part that pops up when it's been filled with water so that you know to empty it. Sliding the water bin in and out is kinda a pain but once you get used to it, it's tolerable. The fresh types of coffee make this machine worth it. I've drank more coffee now than before which can be a con. Coffee beans in a bag last about a week to week and a half depending on how much you go through so that can be a con since the beans are kinda costly. Don't try to switch out flavored beans because it's next to impossible to do. Just keep the expresso ones in and use ground coffee in the little insert area when you want a flavor. Or do like we do syrups, or other topping flavors added to our cup. Overall I would recommend. I don't know if it's necessarily saving me money since I seem to drink more but my cup of cappuccino is definitely worth my not leaving my home.

My De’Longhi makes the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life. The bean grinding is spot-on every single time, and the LatteCrema system gives me silky foam like a real café. I love the ease to switch between regular and decaf, plus the cold brew in minutes and quick heat-up are unbeatable. Nothing else I’ve tried comes close.

Makes delicious tasting coffee in no time at all. Ever since I purchased this machine I can’t wait for the morning to have my flavored latte. I love fixing “fancy” coffee for my guests and have even created a coffee station with to-go cups! The machine is very easy to use. The only complaint I have and the reason for the 4 star rating is that it has to be descaled often. This could be because of the hard Texas water. The machine is definitely worth the price and I have already purchased 2 as gifts!

First I’d like to start off saying I had the Breville barista espresso maker. I originally bought and returned for this one because it was easier to function in a shorter period of time especially because I run a business and I’m handing these coffees out to clients, I also didn’t want to buy something that was $1500 or more so this seemed fitting in the price range for an automatic espresso maker. It’s fairly simple to run. I love that the pieces of equipment are easy to detach and clean and water is easy to refill. I also enjoy that you can use fresh beans and ground. If you’re looking for freshly brewed coffee with a push of a button than you’ve found it!

Really good machine for the price point. Easy to clean, can brew by grinding beans or adding preground coffee to a separate compartment. The brewing unit is a little low for today’s “yeti” type of mugs to fit under. The water compartment is a bit small and requires daily refills, but overall a really good machine for the price point.

Have had this for about 3 weeks now - a luxury purchase, but we came back from a trip to Italy where the hotel had a terrific automatic coffee maker that my wife really enjoyed. I thus researched what was available for home use and settled on this (also considered the Phillips 4300 and the higher end Dynamica). Very happy with this so far. The coffee, cappuccino, and lattes it makes are excellent. Pros are that it is simple to use, easy to clean (self cleans at start up and cleans the milk dispenser) and can adjust coffee strength. Other models have more profiles, but that isn't an issue for us, and selection of beverage choices is more than sufficient. (Like that this also has an ice coffee option.) The coffee isn't the hottest, but it is plenty warm. I like that one can also use ground coffee (we still have a fair amount left) - minor wish is that you could adjust the strength with that setting. However, the coffee from fresh beans is definitely better. Best of all it has made my wife happy. This isn't inexpensive, but would highly recommend.

Very easy to set up and use. Coffees taste great and frothing attachment works well. Regular coffee comes out like Americano strength but that’s on 2/3 strength setting. I keep a cup under the spout, when it turns on the nozzles will clean first automatically, same when it turns off. Frother cleans after use by pushing a button that flashes when needed. Puck disposal is easy, any water diverted internally in the machine ends up in the spill tray so that has to be emptied even if you haven’t spilled liquid (it’s not much). Water is easy to fill and is kind of a cartridge on the side. Very happy with this and the value.

I’m so happy not to be buying k cups anymore! The coffee is delicious. It took a couple of tries to find our perfect grind, but it was worth it. We had an older style Magnifica for the past ten years so we were use to a great cup of coffee. Wanted to cry when it “expired “. Tried k cup coffee until this went on sale. So happy now!

Very happy with Magnifica Evo. Owned the machine for a month now , and it has been a great addition to our kitchen. ( it is actually a replacement/ upgrade to an older model De’longhi coffee machine). The machine is quieter than expected ( as per some reviews I read before purchasing) and definitely quieter than my previous machine. Some noise level is to be expected because of the incorporated beans grinder. Coffee tastes good and the beverage options are optimal for me and my family. Before purchase I was a bit worried about the size of the regular coffee cup , but after using the machine for a month I can say the liquid amount in all the standard beverages is perfect. The Latte system is great , I love using it and makes my life easier when I make latte or cappuccino. ( easy to clean too). Just completed the first descaling of the machine and the process was straight forward and not very lengthy ( the instructions in the manual are easy to understand). One surprising piece of information is that the machine is build in European Union ( Romania most precisely). I strongly recommend this machine .

The best home-made coffee we've ever tasted. We love our machine and have been trying different beans, including our new favorite Lavazza Super Crema that makes excellent coffee and espresso. This one machine actually replaced several different coffee makers for us including Cuisinart, Keurig, and L'or (similar to nespresso) and makes better coffee and espresso than each. The only thing that compares are the Breville Barista machines, but this one does all of the hard work of making the "pucks" and extracting a great cup of coffee or espresso with just the push of a button. We chose this model over the touchscreen models for the simplicity and ease of use, and have not been disappointed! Cleaning the first time was a little bit of a challenge, but we can now "deep clean" the unit in a few minutes, and only have to pull out the instruction manual when it needs to be descaled. 100% would recommend. We have almost completely stopped going to Starbucks, so the machine should eventually pay for itself. My only complaint is that I get jittery from over consumption of when I have more than 2 cups in a day because this makes a significantly stronger cup than our old machine.

This is a game changer for me as I drink a lot of coffee. I would always go out and buy it so I decided to invest in a machine and there's no doubt that it had paid for itself the first month. its very easy to use and does all the work for you. all you have to do is refill/empty it and clean it on occasion. i highly recommend it.

I was always used to drip coffee then I moved to pods. But since I experienced the fresh ground beans, I was looking for a fully automatic coffee maker that would allow me to make different coffees. I decided on this one because of the features the ease of use and cleaning. I could not be happer with the product. The Best Buy sale price was great and the easy online order and pick up at the local store was a great experience.

I absolutely love this machine! It's super easy to use. I actually like it better than the more expensive version that my parents have because I feel like these icons are more user friendly. I highly recommend keeping a jar/cup/mug underneath before and after you make drinks so when it self cleans you can empty that and not constantly worry about the drip tray. I use almond milk, and it still froths almond milk really well which is much harder than whole milk.

The De'Longhi Magnifica Evo has definitely stopped me from going to my local coffee shop. While the cost of the machine seems high it's perfect for a 1-2 person household. It's loud but I like that it's all in one machine. Just put in your favorite beans, hit you drink, (add milk/optional), and your drink is ready. I highly recommend using filtered water, especially if you water is hard, else your machine will want you to descale every 3-4 weeks. I use mine daily and no issues to date. Tip: Clean the milk container every time and immediately after using. I also recommend wetting the tube with water before inserting into the milk container, else it may not be in all the way and you may get warm instead of frothed milk. I've used almond, 2% and whole milk. I've had the unit for 4 months and I've descaled twice. I lengthy process but I did notice immediate improvements after each descaling, I have hard water and started to use filtered water to help combat the issue.

We are coffee aficionados. My wife worked for Starbucks for 21 years and I used to sell coffee makers at Sur La Table. WE LOVE THIS MACHINE. Its ease of operation and the quality of the results are everything we hoped for. I knew the De Longhi name and it has proved to be as dependable as I expected. I expected to have to buy a Jura to be happy. This machine is just as good at half the price.
