The Delonghi Magnifica Evo had me excited from the minute the box arrived at my door. I’ve been looking for an updated replacement for a competitor’s product and I wanted something nicer than their current line. I’ve always associated the Delonghi brand with great coffee so I figured there was no way the Evo could disappoint. Thankfully I was completely right! Unboxing and setup is very simple and kudos to Delonghi for having a useful, detailed setup guide in the box. I had the unit up and running within a matter of minutes. Once I brewed out the first few pulls of espresso it was making excellent tasting coffee drinks. The first feature that had me excited was the ‘over ice’ mode since I drink iced coffee 90% of the time. With the adjustable spouts you’ll find most glasses fit easily under the dispenser. You can choose your strength and off it goes, grinding and brewing and making a pretty awesome iced coffee without melting the ice and watering things down. You also have a chute to add pre-ground coffee for a quick cup as needed. The milk container allows you to fill up with cow milk or a plant based option and is easy to clean up when you’re done. I like that you can easily keep it in the fridge until you’re ready instead of constantly having to fill a separate container or frother every morning. All in all I’d say this is an easy to use unit that accomplishes the task at hand - making excellent coffee. Well worth the money.

This makes making coffee a breeze. I had searched for a maker that automatically did the frother for each style drink. This does that. If I want a latte it knows how much to add and if I want a cappuccino it knows how to much to add. It makes it so simple to make and go. Here's where I am torn. It cleans the nozzles of the coffee area every time the machine starts and every time it shuts off. So although I like this feature it's a pain in the neck because to avoid having to empty the tray every three seconds (because it fills with water) I have to leave a mug there. And one time I forgot my coffee because I was running around all over the place and it had cleaned the nozzles right into my cup. Now this is adjustable, the amount of time to leave it on but it was kinda a pain to figure out. Also, you can't just froth milk or make say a cappuccino with double expresso shot in it. You have to do an expresso and then do the cappuccino. It is also limited to height of the cup under it. So for instance I got that red cup from Starbucks. It's the perfect one for on the go but it doesn't fit under the unit. So to fill that cup I have to use a smaller cup and then do two cups of that in the one red cup. I do love how the ground coffee ends up in a nice little pad that flops into the chamber below. I have been saying those ground up coffees for my plants. There is a red indicator on the metal tray part that pops up when it's been filled with water so that you know to empty it. Sliding the water bin in and out is kinda a pain but once you get used to it, it's tolerable. The fresh types of coffee make this machine worth it. I've drank more coffee now than before which can be a con. Coffee beans in a bag last about a week to week and a half depending on how much you go through so that can be a con since the beans are kinda costly. Don't try to switch out flavored beans because it's next to impossible to do. Just keep the expresso ones in and use ground coffee in the little insert area when you want a flavor. Or do like we do syrups, or other topping flavors added to our cup. Overall I would recommend. I don't know if it's necessarily saving me money since I seem to drink more but my cup of cappuccino is definitely worth my not leaving my home.

Most of the flavors from fancy Coffee Shops if you load it with good beans. I overpay for a well roasted coffee beans, I do no need to overpay twice by going to their brick and mortar storefront everyday (or every other day). I do not think I have ever been compelled to write a review until this product. I am incredibly satisfied and would recommend. Easy to set up, easy to dial in, and consistently great performance.

Coming from De’Longhi the Dinamica Espresso Machine, the Magnifica Evo Coffee & Espresso Machine did not disappoint! Unboxing and getting the Magnifica set up took ~20 minutes. De’Longhi provides useful steps in setting up the Magnifica, so if you aren’t slow like me, it may take you less time. The quality of coffee you get is top notch in terms of flavor and richness, and you can’t get any better by going with other brands. Just as with the Dinamica Espresso, the Magnifica has a separate cartridge for the milk, so any leftover milk can be fridged again for next use. The froth is just perfect and leaves you feeling like you have a personal experienced barista… Pros: 1. parts are removable and dishwasher-safe for super easy cleaning and maintainability 2. fast coffee with great quality 3. great froth; the foam is soft and light and lasts until the last sip 4. UI of the controls is very straightforward and simple to use Cons: 1. there isn’t an easy way to empty out the coffee ground or beans when using different beans for other drinks Overall, i only have one minor gripe, and it’s related to when you are making different types of coffee. There really isn’t an easy way to remove the beans that are already in the grinder so you can put in a different set of beans. From what i’m aware of, it's more or less you attempting to tilt the machine over to remove the current set of beans :( Wish this process would be a bit easier and required less effort! Is it expensive? YES! Is it worth it? YES! I highly recommend the De’Longhi Magnifica Evo Coffee & Espresso machine for anyone that wants to have quality coffee at home. It’ll save you many trips from having to go out, but more importantly it’ll have you feeling ready for your day, every day!

This is the first coffee machine that I have purchased outside of a K-cup type coffee maker, so bear with me. The coffee made with this machine is so much better than instant or K-cup. And I am thoroughly enjoying it. Four out of five stars for this review right now, if I were still enjoying it as much as I am now say 12 months from now, then I would've given it five stars. So far, it's been very easy to use, and I have had no issues with it. Bought it on sale, so I feel like I got better value for it. However, I do find myself judging every cup of coffee I purchase outside of the home now against the home machine, thankfully the home machine is currently winning. Happy Christmas to me.

A gift for my wife several months ago. It was easy to set up, just follow the directions and there are you tube videos that can help. She uses it every day and raves about the taste of the coffee the machine produces. It was easy to set up and looks great. We follow the directions to descale the machine when the light indicates it is time to do so and it does make a difference in the taste of your coffee. We were lucky to purchase it on sale. This is a well-made quality machine.

The DeLonghi Magnifica Evo, particularly the Espresso Magnifico, has become a valued addition to my kitchen. Having owned various super automatic machines from different manufacturers over the past two decades, I regret not exploring De'Longhi sooner. The coffee produced by this machine stands out with its bold and hotter brew, truly embodying the essence of "espresso" when brewed at maximum strength. In blind taste tests within my household of avid coffee enthusiasts, the Magnifica Evo consistently triumphed over drinks from our other machine. All the standard features expected in this price category, such as the steaming wand, grinder adjustment, and the ability to use ground coffee, are present. What sets De'Longhi apart is their thoughtful approach to user experience. The water tank conveniently slides forward, the bean container features a removable lid for easy refilling, and the drip trays are designed to maintain the machine's cleanliness. Descaling is a breeze, and the absence of separate "cleaning" and "descaling" operations streamlines maintenance compared to my previous machine. The machine's footprint aligns with others in its price range, and its silver color with metallic accents seamlessly integrates into most kitchens without drawing excessive attention. While I express a desire for removable coffee spouts for easy cleaning, I acknowledge that this feature might not be available in this price range, as none of my previous machines included it. In conclusion, the De'Longhi Magnifica Evo is an excellent choice for those seeking a super automatic espresso machine. It has successfully claimed its place on my kitchen counter, surpassing the performance of my previous machine that served me well for nearly a decade. As of now, I have no complaints, and based on the exceptional beverage quality alone, I wholeheartedly recommend this machine to family and friends.

When I started my own espresso journey, I began with a Delonghi Stilosa espresso machine. Basic with not many controls other than a frother and a knob to control the amount of espresso you want. Plus I had to grind my own coffee. Now due to the nature of my long work hours and the importance of getting as much sleep as possible, I needed a machine that could do all the work for me. I was willing to pay the price because I was taught as a child that the good things in life are a bit more steep in price. I needed to be able to push a button and get going. I work anywhere between 12 to 16 hours a day. I was spending $7-$14 a day on coffee. Imagine how fast that racks up. I spent three months studying all sorts of espresso machines; manuals, semi-automatics, and fully automatics. After work I kept watching videos, reading reviews and so much more. My first choice was the Breville Barista Touch which I quickly disliked only because I still had to pull the portafilter in and out. After that was the Phillips 3200 LatteGo which I also disliked because of the screen layout. After that was the Delonghi Dinamica Plus which was unnecessary for me, a bit steep. Then, the Magnifica Evo showed up. Everything about this machine fascinated me. Not only the simple buttons, but also how easy it is to clean; you basically assist the self-cleaning process. The initial setup process was a bit daunting but I was so excited that I could care less. The manuals were really helpful though. Please make sure you read both the normal manual and the quick start guide! It has been over 20 days since I bought this machine. First day I drank 8 shots messing with the settings. I made over 20 shots that day. Now I have no count of how many shots but I can promise you this machine has had my friends and family wanting more of what I have been making. It is an addicting machine. It is a workhorse! The first and most complicated piece you have to figure out for yourself is the grind setting. I have personally set mine at 4.5 for Peet's Espresso Forte and 4 for Starbuck's Blonde Roast. If you have a different roast you like, read the manual on how to tweak the grinder to the proper settings based on your first few tests. Beware however that you will most likely be drinking about 4 shots on this process. The second piece of advice is set your temperature. I have mine at the medium bean because it is tongue scorching if you add the hot milk as well. Be very careful with your coffee temperature. This baby came hot! The third piece of advice is to find a very good milk or creamer that everyone in your family will like. Half and Half comes out with a very nice layer of foam. All you have to do is add your syrup. Plus it's very low in sugar compared to regular creamer. Fourth piece of advice is make sure you have extra descaler on hand. The machine comes with one bottle but you WILL need more. The process is VERY long but this machine does all the work for you. All you do is add water when necessary. Now onto five pros and five cons of this machine. 1) The first pro is the versatility of drinks. There's a few options but my go to is the cappucino. I love it because it dispenses a shorter amount of milk compared to the Latte Machiatto. Of course you have your expresso and over ice options. One option that will shock you is the coffee option. This baby here made me the best blonde roast drip coffee I have ever had. The over ice option is fantastic as well! 2) The second pro is the ease of use. My parents are well over their 60's and can use this. The simple button taps are what make this machine easy. I can really appreciate that since I'm not home and they always want the coffee I make. 3) The third pro is the ease of cleaning. The LatteCrema system, the infuser, the drip tray, and my favorite part are the coffee grounds. I love how the machine shapes them into circles! 4) The fourth pro is the grinded coffee option. If you have your own grind, you can use one spoonful with the provided spoon and make it! I have tried Cafe Bustelo, Cafe La Llave, and a few others out of this machine and they're fantastic! It is nice if you do not want to dispose of your perfectly grinded coffee like I had with my old grinder. 5) The fifth and last pro is the savings. 20 days minus the $14 a day is a lot of money for one person. That does not include my mom, my dad, my sister, my cousin, my aunt, my best friend and his brother, my other friend, and anyone else who I lost track that has tried it! This machine is the best $899 you will never regret spending. 1) The first con is the lack of control with the LatteCrema that bugs me. Of course I'm not one to complain since I wasn't part of development but having at least the temperature control with this baby would have been a blast. The milk comes out so hot I have to add a bit of cold milk to help my tongue out. 2) The second con is the water collection on the drip tray. I have a cup underneath the water and coffee dispenser yet find absurd amounts of water on the drip tray. I have no idea how that happens or what but it is annoying. 3) The lack of a milk option. Yes, just a milk option. I know I can stop the milk and the espresso whenever I want, however this machine grinds the coffee before dispensing the milk so I would be wasting coffee to dispense hot milk only. This option would be nice especially because hot milk at night and a cookie hits differently. 4) The fourth con is the cappucino and latte Machiatto option. Not a big one but the double shot option on these two would have been a nice plus for someone like me who drinks 8-10 shots a day. 5) Fifth and final is I can't think of another. I really can't. Other than the last 4 the fifth will probably come in the long run! To finish this off, I have a fresh bag of single-origin coffee beans from Peacock Coffee Roasters that has been degassing for the past 9 days. The scent is all over my room and I'm absolutely stoked to try it on this machine. I have four other bags I bought from coffee shops in Boise Idaho that I am also excited to run through. Try different beans, different milk options and make yourself new recipes! I made myself a copycat of the Iced Maple Latte from Peet's and I nearly cried, it tastes exactly the same way it did when I flew out of Sacramento. Buy this machine. If you have been thinking about it for a while, I promise you won't regret it. It is one of the most underestimated pieces of home gear people don't realize they sometimes need an upgrade on. I hate Keurig because of their crappy quality now and anything with capsules will never reach the taste quality of a freshly grounded bean. Thank you Delonghi for such a magnificent (ha!) product that has made my life so much better! I cannot wait to add another machine to the family!

The De'Longhi Magnifica Evo is a fantastic coffee machine. The coffee and cappuccino taste amazing, just like from a café. Over the last 20+ years, I've owned 4 or 5 of these "super automatics" from various manufacturers, so very familiar with their positives & negatives. I will say that in spite of the complexity of these machines, they have been very reliable to me, and I'm hooked - I will never again go back to the standard coffee maker - or (shudder) go to a capsule based machine. I love my coffee too much for that abomination! With every generation, improvements and features are added, and the Magnifica Evo has done a great job at incorporating the best of them in this latest generation. As I'm pretty familiar with their operation, unboxing went pretty quickly. Primed the water filter & installed, on first run, the machine has a built-in rinse procedure. It comes with a test strip for water hardness, I can tell you that I normally set the hardness level 1 notch higher than the strip calls for; if that causes me to have to purchase one or two additional filters over the life of the machine, it's cheap insurance. The most detrimental thing you can do to these machines is to let the calcium build up; change your filters & decalcify when the machine calls for it. These things are pretty good at letting you know when to go to the doctor for a checkup! Between the pre-programmed buttons for espresso, coffee, latte, etc.; you can further refine each drink to your liking (more beans, less water). The level of customization is just about infinite. I was happy to see the colorized icons on the preset buttons, especially helpful when you're groggy eyed in the morning and not having to decipher tiny print or hieroglyphics. My daughter would complain at my last machine "how do I use this?" Now I just say "you want coffee? Press the picture of coffee. Simple. As is just about all of these machines, the coffee spout adjusts up & down, as does the latte dispenser. There is one difference with the Evo - the whole Crema Latte device detaches at the press of a button, De'Longhi provides a second spout just for steam which locks in with a very satisfying click. If you're not doing crema drinks, it gives a cleaner appearance to front of the machine. In the photos below you can see how it looks with & without the dispenser. Going back to the satisfying click, that's the overall impression I got from the Evo Everything clicked into place easily & solidly, even the brew mechanism, which can sometimes be troublesome when it comes time to clean it up. It feels like the most solid machine I've owned yet. The other advice I'd give as a long term user is to get a small tube of food grade grease to lube the pistons & O-rings of the brew group, your machine will thank you with many years of service. Did I mention the end result? I brewed some lattes with the Evo; I'd have to say in a blind taste test, I'd be hard put to tell what comes out of this machine from a $6 offering from the local coffee shop. Thank you De'Longhi - great job.

The DELONGHI MAGNIFICA EVO is an automated expresso/coffee maker with a lot of options and features. At our house we enjoy our coffee, used to make drip coffee. This machine has heightened our coffee experience to a new level that we will not be able to revert from. Out of the box, this machine requires reading the quickstart manual at the very least. There is also an extensive full manual that explains all the different features and care of the machine. Once we completed the unpacking of the machine and its many accessories it was time to start familiarizing ourselves with our new morning companion. The DELONGHI MAGNIFICA EVO is a large machine that will make many cups of coffee before needing to refill with water and beans or maintenance. The coffee bean reservoir is large and holds more beans than I expected. The water resevoir is a good size and also includes a filter for the water which is nice. There is also an option to use ground coffee and a scoop is included that conveniently measures only the amount that is allowed by the machine. Included was a water hardness strip to check your home water and a packet of descaling agent for the machine. A small packet of coffee beans was also included to get you started. There are many features and some customization available. 13 grind settings and a conical burr grinder allow you to get the best flavor from any bean. This machine will make coffee five different preset ways: Espresso, Coffee, Americano, Iced Coffee, Long, Steam and with an option for a programmable recipe to your liking. The milk froather/foamer is the feature we were most excited to use and it did not disappoint. There are helpful markings on the side of the milk container that guide the amount of milk to add for the preset recipes. Also included is a button to rinse the froather which is a nice feature. The hot water dispenser is an extra bonus great for Tea or hot chocolate or even soup cups. The machine has a button on the top that allows for three different strengths of brew. All five preset options made great coffee for our tastes, but we found the size of the coffee was a little small for us. There is an option to increase the quantity of coffee brewed by holding the preferred recipe button down until the light blinks fast to start the brewing. Pressing the button a second time when reaching the desired quantity will stop the brew and save the quantity for the future brews. MAGNIFICA! The Brew group is removal and can be cleaned easily, they even include a brush. This will keep your coffee tasting great. This machine has met all our expectations and made our Sunday mornings that much more enjoyable. We no longer have to travel to the local coffee shop to experience exceptional coffee and can enjoy with bedhead and in our pajamas.

Love it!!! I have tried so many different ways to get starbucks at home. I don’t have the time in the morning for a normal espresso machine. I have been eyeing this for a year or more but i just didn’t know if it was worth the money. Because i can only drink one cup of coffee a day to i don’t know how many. Well this year I saw it on a black friday sale so did my husband. Well we saw the Phillips one on amazon. I told him I know but we didn’t need to spend that type of money. I sat on it for 2 weeks and it wasn’t on sale anymore but this one went on sale and so did the Phillip 3300. I looked over reviews and reviews because that all I could think about. Phillips have great review and so did this one. But this one had 52 thousand review on amazon and i dont remember how many on best buy. I got it on best buy because of geek squad warranty. From the reivew like anything has it problems. You may get one out of the box with issues or later on or never get issues. But like i was saying at the beginning I don’t need to buy Starbucks any more. I only drink white mocha and I only like starbucks pretty much. I will drink one from other places but i will not enjoy it as much as starbucks. With the my latte button i have figured out how much milk and use Holland white chocolate sauce you can buy it on amazon. It taste better then starbucks. I thought i would save more money but i dont know. I went through a whole bag of beans in a week or so. I think i wont be as bad once the new wears off. But i just love how easy it is and how great it taste. Wish i would have bought this a long time ago. Highly recommend!!! I hope this helps you in some way.

In only a few short years I’ve gone from rarely drinking coffee (and cheap coffee when I did) to grinding my own beans! The De’Longhi Magnifica Evo has given me the ability make all the coffee shop drinks at home for much less. The setup process is a little involved and can be a little intimidating for someone that’s not to familiar with these type of machines. I definitely recommend reading the directions throughly, though it’s not hard, it’s definitely more involved than a regular coffee maker. The machine has a built in replaceable water filter and comes with a test strip to test the hardness of your water so you can set the machine up accordingly. It also includes a bottle of descaling liquid for when it needs to be cleaned. The process of brewing different coffee drinks is a little bit of trial and error I’ve found. The manuals give good instructions on making espressos but not so much on other drinks. This really is only an issue if you plan to use different coffee beans and not just one. For example if you just dump a bag of beans into the grinder area and that’s all you will use, then you’ll be good to go. But if you use one coffee for over ice and one for hot and a different one for espresso, you kinda have to figure it out on your own how much to put in for each drink. This is the one area I think De’Longhi could improve the manual/quick start guide or even have instructional videos on their website for people who are new at using machines such as this. Those little things aside, the Magnifica Evo is an awesome machine that will turn you into a coffee connoisseur!

I bought an earlier model about 12 years ago; it finally died last year and I went with a much cheaper alternative until I decided I really missed the taste of good coffee in the morning. The machine is easy to set up, easy to use, and makes incredible drinks. I love that it uses whole bean coffee and I can dump the pucks on my plants when it is time to empty the bid. No pods to recycle or throw in the landfill. The initial cost of the machine pays back in no time!

Amazing coffee maker. Easy to use, stylish, and made with quality materials. The coffee comes out rich, aromatic, and smooth. The milk frother works great for cappuccinos and lattes. Highly recommended!

Makes great coffee, cappuccino and latte. I have two gripes with this machine is if your beans or water level is low it will proceed with making your cup and the noise level is so high.

My wife had her eye on a semi professional coffee Brewer since she grew out of the convenience of K-cup coffee makers. I don't even drink coffee, but read the reviews and this model did the same as more upscale models at about half the price so I was contempt to whip out my store card in order to gift my wife a last minute XMas present The absolutely loved it! We no longer need to stop at the Franchise coffee shops and she prefers to home brew her own lattes.
