Great Coffee. Easy. Versatile. Easy to Clean.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t know what to expect going in with this machine, but it absolutely won me over after some time…and a lot of coffee. Initial setup is easy. It is pre-assembled, and all that is required is power and for you to fill the water tank and place a container under the spout for the initial cleaning. Run a brew cycle and you are good to go. The machine is simple to use, has a lot of versatility, is very easy to clean, and, most importantly, it makes great coffee. Everything is basically self-explanatory and done with a push of a button. The buttons are clear, easy to understand, and responsive. It is like a Keurig, but without all the waste, and with the ability to use whatever beans you want (or pre-ground). Furthermore, all you need to do is fill water reservoir and the bean hopper (both will give you notice when they are low), and you get fresh ground coffee in multiple size cups (8,12,16, 20, 24 oz cups, or 3 oz espresso), to your liking and style (light, gold, bold, over ice, espresso), in about the same time. It is all really just the touch of a button or two. Furthermore, you can use the time/auto setting to have it be ready when needed. All in all, just a seamless, simple process. I’ve found the coffee to taste fantastic. I am not sure what “formula” they are using, for beans to water, etc…but it has been right on for me to this point. Even the iced, or “over ice” as they call it has been on point which I did not really expect. Simple to use, great coffee. What else is there? Well, cleanup. Here, again, it is done well. The grounds are formed into little pucks which are easier to dispose of, and the unit lets you know when various cleanings need to be done via icons on the display. It also seems to do a clean cycle upon each startup as well. I have only used whole beans, but I do imagine using pre-ground could lead to a little more mess here and there, but as a whole, it is easy to clean this machine. If you can’t already tell, I do really like this machine. That said, if I had to nitpick a thing or two, it would be the size of the water tank and height of the machine itself. It is a “little” tall. It was not really an issue for me, but almost, and I think it is something to note. Some may have issues. Relatedly, while it is tall, it does not take up that much counter-space, so that is a positive…however, as a result I think they went with a bit of a small water reservoir. Again, this may not be an issue for many, and I guess you want fresh water in there all the time, but I do like some coffee, and I seem to be having to fill it up a bit more than I would prefer. Admittedly, a nitpick and small issue, but again, something to note. In the end, I really like this coffee maker. I did not touch on it above, but I like the design. Simple, clean, and modern looking. Based on the construction, I think it will last for some time, even with how much coffee I tend to drink, but we will have to see. Beyond that, it is ridiculously easy to clean and maintain and most importantly, it makes some fantastic tasting coffee. For me, the reduced waste is also absolutely a major selling point. It is just unnecessary. I would point to my title above and say for all of those reasons and more I think just about everyone would like this coffee maker and I think the value is there for what you get.

High-Quality Coffee – Quick and Convenient
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The De’Longhi TrueBrue automatic coffee maker is a quick and convenient option for fresh coffee that tastes a lot better than most of the other single-serve/on demand products I’ve tried. It’s easy to set up, even easier to use, and I really enjoy it so far. Getting the machine unboxed and working was simple and intuitive. The quick guide offered helpful, illustrated, step-by-step instructions. Make sure to follow those steps all the way through, otherwise you’ll be surprised that the initial brew cycle is a water-only primer, or miss the parts about customizing the brew for your level of water hardness and preferred temperature. The speed and convenience of this machine really can’t be understated. So long as you have water in the tank and beans in the hopper, you are never more than a couple of taps and a couple of minutes away from a great cup of coffee. If you haven’t already been grinding your beans fresh, then making that switch is a game changer. If you’re already used to grinding then brewing, you’ll appreciate having everything done with one machine, and in one step. And if you’re already using a single serve, on-demand coffee maker, you will probably be very excited that the De’Longhi True Brew has no disposable plastic pods. The TrueBrew offers quite a few customization options. From brew size (espresso-style 3 oz demitasse all the way up to 24 oz travel mug), brew strength (light, gold, or bold) and even the option to bypass the grinder and use pre-ground coffee one cycle at a time (maybe your houseguest brought their own flavored blend?). There are a couple of small things that kept me from giving this a 5-star rating. None of them are deal-breakers, but they’re First, cleaning out the waste grounds and water is messy. It seems no matter how carefully I slide out the compartments, I still spill water and grounds on my countertop every time. Maybe it’s a learning curve thing, but it seems a machine of this caliber could have kept things a bit tidier. I guess it's good that this only needs to be done every so often. Second, even on the highest temperature setting, I find that the coffee comes out hot, but not very hot. I used an instant read digital thermometer and clocked the coffee right around 140°F. For many, that’s great, but if you like your coffee on the hotter side, this may be an issue I'll also note that while there is an option for “espresso-style” brew, it just seems to make a small cup of slightly stronger coffee with a bit of crema. It’s not bad, but it’s certainly not espresso. I guess it’s not fair to complain that something *not* an espresso machine doesn’t make espresso, though. Overall, this has been a great addition to our kitchen. It’s quick and easy to use, and makes a great cup of coffee.

Fresh Ground Coffee Taste Without The Fuss.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the De'Longhi TrueBrew Automatic Single Serve Coffee Maker and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed! As a coffee lover who needs a quick brew to start my mornings, I have tried many different machines over the years, but this one stands out for several reasons. First, the machine is incredibly easy to use. The simple control panel allows you to choose your preferred cup size and strength, and the machine does the rest. The TrueBrew technology ensures that every cup of coffee is brewed to perfection, with rich and flavorful results every time. I also appreciate the sleek and stylish design of the machine. It looks great on my kitchen counter and doesn't take up too much space. The removable water tank and drip tray make for easy cleaning and maintenance, which is always a plus. Because the beans are ground within the machine you don't get that static-y mess that always seems unavoidable when grinding your own beans. The little pucks of grounds it dispenses are super easy to dispose of and make cleanup super quick as well. One thing I really enjoy is the ability to use both whole beans and ground coffee. Another thing to note about the bean hopper on top is to mention that it is mostly recessed in the body of the machine. This allows it to fit nicely on my counter while still fitting below any cabinets. Certain espresso and coffee makers can be a bit hit or miss when it comes to where they will fit. Overall, I would highly recommend the De'Longhi TrueBrew Automatic Single Serve Coffee Maker to any coffee lover. Its ease of use, stylish design, and versatility make it a great addition to any home. If you're someone who wants the better taste of fresh grounds with the convenience of a few button presses, this is the one for you.

The bean extract technology is one of the machine's most significant selling points. This technology uses a special brewing process that extracts maximum flavor from the beans, producing a rich and delicious cup of coffee. From small to large this one has you covered
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box this is a really nice-looking setup. It's huge as far as counter space that it takes up compared to a normal coffee maker. It has a huge water reservoir that attaches to the side. It has a conveniently place huge hopper on top easily accessible for pouring your beans. The internal individual trays pop in and pop back out for ease of cleaning. The display and easy push button design both looks great and makes form and function simple. The variety of settings both size wise and type are great with this setup ranging from the smallest being only 3 ounces, then to 8 ounces, 12 ounces, 16 ounces, 20 ounces, and finally the largest being 24 ounces. Styles given being light, gold, bold, or over ice. You have your own barista right at your fingertips without even having set a foot outside your front door! One thing I think they could have done better is the water reservoir, with the massive size of this maker and the larger 24-ounce setting, I feel like they should have had a reservoir that was more equivalent to the size of the machine, you’ll end up filling the water reservoir more often than other makers in my opinion. Overall it's a really nice machine that makes an excellent cup of joe! I'd recommend it to others who have the extra counter space

Like having a coffee shop at home
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This coffee maker is SOLID. It's built super well with lots of metal accents. I love how easy it is to fill the water reservoir and that you can easily clean it. I love not having to use the filters and that the machine compresses the used coffee grounds into neat little pucks that can easily be tossed out. The machine comes apart easily for cleaning and also included a water hardness test and some descaling solution for maintenance. The coffee grinder works very well, I was surprised at how quiet it is and how quickly it grinds the needed amount. No more messing with scoops of pre ground coffee that can be messy and doesn't ever taste as fresh. The beans included with the machine as a sample are amazing too. They smelled great out of the bag but once they were ground and brewing it made my whole kitchen smell like a coffee shop. The beans have great flavor and aroma, I will be ordering more of them. The sizing options are great for any size mug or tumbler. I like the sleek button panel and how it clearly shows which options you've elected. The machine is a great all in one option for someone who previously needed counter space for a coffee maker, iced coffee maker and a bean grinder. If you want to splurge on an all in one setup this is a great option.

De'Longhi knows what they are doing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I have had multiple De'Longhi coffee makers in the past and was really happy with them. This one keeps up that tradition. Right out of the box, I was impressed with the build quality of the machine. I really liked the stainless steel look and it just fits with the rest of my kitchen appliances. Setup is straightforward. You plug it in, Put in some water and brew (in order to prime and clean the machine). Then, you should be all set to go. You can choose the amount of coffee ranging from 3 ounces to 24 ounces. You can also choose the strength (light, gold, bold). Choosing the 3 ounce gets you almost close to an expresso shot but as this is not a dedicated expresso machine, I would not have high expectations. I would say the most useful part of the machine is that you can use set a time to brew. I always set mine to brew in the morning while I get ready for work. By the time I come down, the smell of fresh coffee is waiting for me. Cleaning is straightforward and I love that I can use the coffee grounds for compost with no waste. All in all, De'Longhi knows what they are doing. This is another excellent product by them and any coffee lover will love it.

Great coffee without the waste!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've been long time DeLonghi users as we are owners of a 10 year old DeLonghi automatic espresso machine that STILL makes great espresso. But for drip coffee we have always used pods or a regular drip machine. When we heard that DeLonghi now makes an automatic drip coffee machine we knew we had to buy it. It makes better coffee then our old methods as now the beans are freshly ground. No longer do we create endless waste with pods. It is quite convenient to be able to fill the machine with beans and water and have it last for multiple days. It's bigger than our old machine, however it's more versatile and can make different types of coffee with different strengths - which is better than one large pot made the way only one person likes. We make sure to clean it after each use and it's worked great so far! Looking forward to using this machine for 10+ years just like our other DeLonghi product!

Not worth the price at all.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Makes decent enough coffee but can’t get around two deal breakers. First, water will leak everywhere. It is a design flaw. Second, the machine shuts itself off after only a few minutes, adding to the leak problem. When the machine shuts off it runs water through the line thus filling the inner tray. Just bad design all around.

Truebrew - an awesome coffee brewer!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love our Truebrew! It was the best gift we ever got. This drip machine grinds, of course - but it also adjusts for the PH of your water. I particularly like the 3oz size, set to the darkest brewing; it is close to Espresso! Love this machine.

Good idea but a lot more work than k cup machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good idea but a lot of things going on to make it work. Every 3/4 cups you need to dump the grounds, excess water and clean it out. Good for fresh grinding beans but pre ground coffee doesn’t seem to work well? If you are a fresh bean aficionado go for it, not so picky stick with your k cup machine.

Bad Machine, Even Worse Customer Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The worst coffee maker and company ever. Had the machine for 2 months and it died. Fought with customer service, sent it back for them to fix, they sent it back with a broken water tank. Then told us the tanks were out of stock and couldn't replace until February. Sent it back and waited four months for a replacement. We received that replacement in late January after so MANY calls and arguing with them. They refused to refund our money. Guess what died this morning (May!!) - literally turned off and smelled like mechanical burning and is completely dead. The "new" machine lasted less than four months. Won't let me post reviews on their website either.
