Delivers good sound to the speakers and pretty easy to instal and set up. Only reason it is 4 stars is the Denon app and HEOS app is lacking.

Functional, but several drawbacks

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace an old Yamaha receiver that didnt support 4k or Atmos etc. As far as build quality, audio quality and support for video/audio formats this works great. Also, i VERY much appreciate there is an option for the little screen to turn off. There are some annoyances for me though. I can't stand the interface or remote compared to Yamaha's. Its extremely unintuitive and clunky. Settings that were quick and easy to change on my old receiver take multiple button presses or menu searches on this one. The Audyssey MultEQ is pretty useless for me. Do not buy the app because it does not improve it really unless you have a premium model with MultEQXT. I did not like how it applied EQ also. Finally, this is not a good value compared to the S760H. The ONLY difference is that this one has 2 HDMI outputs. Thats it. If i were to start over again, I would demo different models and compare.
