Has a speaker protection function that disables the receiver arbitrarily. Not playing loud and nothing wrong with speakers or wiring. Has played all day in a different function then switch to something else and it shuts off. Denon contacted multiple times and can’t disable the function.

Similar to my more expensive marantz with just what you need. My biggest conpalint is that it doesnt have buttons on the main unit. Only has source knob and volume knob. If controller breaks you cant do anything without it.

Speakers tested OK with another receiver. Returned this item to Best Buy for an identical model. Spent numerous hours trying to get it to play music from a CD player. Also, Zone 2 would not work. Spent over an hour with Denon support and they could not get the unit to perform properly. Returned product to Best Buy and exchanged it for a different make, installed it, and everything works fine. Given the time and effort on my part, I would rate this product lower than the minimum allowable one star.

Media remotes work flawlessly across both consoles and the receiver, also super easy to stream music directly to it when we just want some background noise for the living space.
