Decided to upgrade to AVR-S970H and regretted about it 2 months later. One defect is that it loses signal randomly and another one is no sound unless denon replaces part. While denon and best buy are fixing hardware of AVR-S970H i have purchased X2800H. The first day I install it it started tandomly rebooting. While I am playing with this Japanese defective product I am browsing for better brands elsewhere. AVOID DENON DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS.

Regarding the rebooting of the AVR-X2800H, it's possible that the device was undergoing an update process. When connected to the internet, our receivers receive periodic firmware updates that include enhancements related to HDMI compatibility, music streaming, and other features. I do think surround and ATMOS is more immersive compared to the lower end Onkyo, and everything has works as expected. Audessy will take some time as I havent yet been able to get it sound as good as manual adjustment but that may be due to quirks in my theater room.

There were a couple of things I couldn't figure out (like which poles to connect for the AM antenna), but overall it was pretty good. It could use a more detailed manual. Even an online one that has more details would be good.
