I swap a lot when something starts giving me issues because there should be no issues with something this pricey. So far this thing is holding its own. I haven't tested the 8K as I don't have an 8K tv, but the 4K HDR looks great on my LG OLED.

I think it was an I install issue but everything is working now. It is a little pricey though.

A couple weeks ago the speakers popped, it went into protection mode and had a burnt smell. Sent it in for warranty repair (got damaged during shipping it was just cosmetic so I paid to get that repaired) got it back yesterday set everything up and after about 5 minutes it did the same thing. Fedex denied my damage claim said denon had to send the claim. Denon customer service keeps saying they escalated it to higher ups. Havent heard anything. They said the same thing when it blew up the second time. Ill probably have to send it in for repair again and if it fails after then they might replace the unit with a refurbished unit even though i purchased a brand new one. Look at pioneers or onkyos stay away from denon. A google/facebook search will show these 3800s are failing. $1800 brick
