    The receiver has excellent sound quality and a wide range of features. I’ve always been a fan of Denon products. However, my customer service experience has been very disappointing. The issue has now dragged on for six weeks without resolution. I’ve been misled multiple times and promised return calls that didn’t happened. At one point, a representative even addressed me as Bro, which was very unprofessional. It’s clear that the quality of support has significantly declined. Hopefully, your product will work without any issues — good luck.

    Awesome receiver, Wish it had a little more pwr. Well then it would just be the avr-x6800 then.

    It was good until I lost right side height speaker for Atmos only four months old I do not abuse this system only user for surroundsound now I have to send it in for repairs. This is the first receiver I had to send in for repairs in my 30 years of owning receivers. This will be the last Denon I ever own. I almost bought an onkyo. I I know I made a mistake now.

    Great receiver. Room calibration is a big improvement and very straight forward. Very happy with movie performance so far.

    I returned it I was not impressed. The video kept blacking out. Too expensive to have those issues

    Constantly drops signal. When watching Apple TV the screen will randomly go black for a couple seconds and then come back on. When I hook the Apple TV directly to the TV there are no problems. Hopefully I can return this thing I’m done dealing with it.

      - Be sure to use Ultra High-Speed HDMI cables. Using quality cables from trusted brands like Audio Quest is highly recommended.
      - Activate the HDMI Upscaler in the receiver's settings. See the attached link for assistance with settings. https://manuals.denon.com/AVRX4800H/NA/EN/GFNFSYmlxuhedk.php

    Defective receiver but no new stock

    The receiver did not work and the sound never came out. The Denon service rep said return the item because it was defective. I returned it but Best Buy did not have the item in stock and they did not know when they will get one. Not a nice experience!!

    Pros: Extremely clean sound deliverered by separate amps internally. Software is seamless with configuration of speakers, and tuning. Cons: Loud clicking noise when it cuts on, or is doing its auto searching for what sound format should be used: dolby digital, atmos, Dts, etc.

    Replaced a 2 year old equal model with this. Surge took out my old one but despite same features, somehow this unit has more clarity and brightness. Use just the pre-outs for a 7X 200 watt amp for main speakers and a 4 X100 amp just for up-firing Atmos.She is pricey but the old adage "You get what you pay for" holds very true and for this price point, comparable to similar other brands, best value out there , especially if you have amps and 2 subs. 3 triggers for amplifiers is awesome if I wanted to expand in the future with a 3rd .
