I was trying to choose between this model or the Audio Technica. I ended up going with the Denon. So far the player has sounded good and I've had no issues. The setup was fairly simple. The only thing I wish were upgraded on vinyl players are the RCA Jack's. They are old technology and I think better sound could come from components or some type of optical cable. Otherwise I'm very happy with this purchase.

This is an excellent turntable for the entry level audiophile. It is, however, very time consuming to get the correct set-up. The owners manual enclosed is too simple. When you have problems getting the correct set-up, start searching the internet and you will get some decent advice along the way. Great sounding and enjoyable once set-up is complete

I shopped around for a long time before purchasing. I love the sound of records vs digital and cds and was so excited when I found this record player. I have so many records and needed a turntable that would sound amazing and last. This has definitely kept up to my expectations

Works great and sounds great. I think I would spend a couple hundred more for more features. As mentioned, I wish it was it had more bells and whistles. Like the old school turn tables with the light that turned on and lit the table as it tuned. Yup, I’m not young.

The hinges on the turntable cover snapped on my turntable and the motor was slightly too fast, but personally i like the look of the turntable without the cover and the motor was an easy fix. I expected the hinges to not be made so cheaply for the price I paid. Other than that I am happy with how it plays so far, and it was fairly easy to set up.

I bought on sale at BB, and it works well. Fit and finish is great. This is the best feature vs. quality unit you can buy in this price range. Forget Audio-Technica, Crosley, etc. They are not as good of a quality. I also looked at Fluance, Pro-Ject, and others.
Make sure you thread the belt correctly, or it won't turn on/spin.

The Denon DP-300F is absolutely great. Easily set up and to operate. I recommend reading the instructions closely as setting the needle weight you need to be precise or it will skip. My wife wanted a player for her records and after researching it came to Marantz and Denon. I picked the Denon because of the $130 off because both were so close in comparison.

This works well if you need an automatic turntable. It looks very nice. However, if you don't need an automatic turntable, I would buy a manual one like the Pro-ject Debut Carbon. In conclusion, the Denon is a bit more convenient to use, but the Pro-ject will sound 15% or 20% better.

For the money this is a hard turntable to beat especially if you want automatic features. Easy to set up and gives good sound with the stock cartridge but gives better sound with a cartridge upgrade. I got this while it was still on sale and there was nothing in comparison at the sale price. Even at the current price it is still competitive. I am satisfied with this turntable.
