Denon Home 350 When the box was delivered, I thought it was a rather large box for the speaker. This speaker is much larger (and heavier) than I expected it to be! The speaker measures 15” wide, 7” deep, stands 9” tall and weighs 15lbs! The speaker was very easy to setup, I setup a HEOS account and logged in. Music sources: I think Denon added every source of music one can think of, in addition to WiFi, there is an Ethernet port, for those that prefer hardwiring to LAN. There is also a USB port in case you want to stream music from a USB drive. As far as steaming services, there are many sources of music to choose from, popular services such as Pandora, Spotify, Tune-in, Amazon to name a few. I was surprised Apple music was not on the list of services. While you can simply stream Apple music via Airplay 2 to get around this, you can’t setup as a quick select channel. The one source that I was happy to see is “Music Server”, if you have a NAS or a folder on your computer, you can set this up so that it streams from it! A few years back, I spent days ripping all my CD’s to my Synology, all the music showed up and played flawlessly on the Denon speaker! This is indeed my favorite feature of this device! Sound quality: To test, I signed up for a Deezer high fidelity account. I was blown away by the sound this device puts out! I expect this sound quality from a large stereo system. Its capable of much more then I had the volume turned up to. I had to move the Home 350 to my basement so I won’t disturb the wife and kids as I crank this baby up! In my finished basement, I have it setup in the main room which measures 30’x17’, this speaker has no problem filling the room! With the volume set half way at #51, it’s very loud. Not only is it loud, but the highs are crisp and clear, while the bass levels are deep. There are some adjustments in the HEOS app if you want to tune the sound. Under settings, My Devices, EQ, you can adjust the treble and bass. I played all types of music, Greatest Showman soundtrack, Queen, Imagine Dragons, the sound quality is phenomenal! I have other very good speakers in the house that I like a lot also, but this Denon sets a new standard! Functionality: The top of the speaker has hidden touch control buttons that light up when you approach and put your hands near it, very nice touch. These allow you to use the Qucik Select buttons, control the volume, and play/pause your music (holding the play pause button for 5 seconds will also put the Denon into deep sleep mode. Initially, I found the light turns off rather quickly, sometimes before I selected what I was trying to select. I was able to fix this in the app, there are settings for brightness and how long the touch control stays on for. On one occasion, I wasn’t able to wake the speaker up from deep sleep via the app, I had to walk over and press one of the buttons. Hopefully this was a one-time glitch. I like that it has quick select buttons you can program to your music service. You do this by playing your selected streaming service. For example, I have a “Piano Guys” station setup on Pandora, while it’s playing, I simply press and hold the Quick select number I want to program until the LED flashes once. This is great, because if another family member wants to use the speaker, they can simply press the Quick select number. Conclusion: After testing the Denon Home 350 for the past 3 days, I’ve gotten quite attached to this speaker. I look forward to working in the basement and turning up the speaker with my favorite music! Design wise, it’s nice, but a bit on the conservative side. Anyone looking for great sound to fill a large room in a small package should take a look at the Home 350.

    Impressive Wireless Speaker

I have owned many Denon products over the years. I’ve always considered Denon synonymous with high quality audio components. Consequently I was very excited to try the Denon Home 350 Wireless Speaker with HEOS to see if it measured up. Upon delivery the Home 350 box was a bit of a surprise in itself. I’m not sure I expected the 350 to be quite so big and heavy. Unboxing revealed a quick start guide, the Home 350 and a power cable. I loved that Denon had considered the ease of removing the speaker from its box by placing it in a bag with handles. Unwrapping revealed the 350. I got the black model and I was quickly impressed with the look and feel of the 350. It’s wrapped in a nice mesh like fabric with the motion sensitive touch controls on the top which seems to be glass. Nice touch. The 350 measures in at about 15x9x7 inches and weighs in at about 14 pounds. I jumped right in to setup by consulting the quick start guide. You’re instructed to plug it in and then download the HEOS app to complete setup. You select add a device and the 350 was quickly detected. Next you connect the 350 to your WiFi connection. The 350 has an ethernet port if you prefer a wired connection. Along the way I signed up for a HEOS account. I also noticed that there was an update available which took longer than expected to install. Spec wise the Denon Home 350 is impressive all around. In terms of connectivity you’re covered. The 350 supports 2.4 ghz & 5 ghz WiFi, Bluetooth, ethernet, AirPlay 2, plus there is a 3.5 audio input and usb. You can also use the Denon Home 350 with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. You can’t beat that. There is also Denon’s HEOS connectivity which is their multi-room sound system capability which connect multiple Denon HEOS devices wirelessly. I don’t have another device so I was unable to test this feature. In the HEOS app you can connect to a bunch of music streaming services including Pandora, Spotify, deezer, Amazon Music, TuneIn, Napster, iHeartRadio, SiriusXM, SoundCloud, TIDAL, and Rhapsody. Talk about options! I use Pandora and Spotify so I started there. Clicking on Spotify in the HEOS app launches your Spotify app after you login to your account. I like this seamless integration of the two apps. On the other hand when you click on Pandora in HEOS you instead get a dumbed down Pandora interface within HEOS. Not sure why here the Pandora app isn’t launched like Spotify. It’s functional but barely. I’m not a fan. I’m an Ipad and iPhone user so I intend to primarily use Apple Music over AirPlay 2. I had a heck of a time setting up AirPlay. When trying to add the Home 350 to Apple HomeKit I kept getting a prompt for an AirPlay password. I couldn’t figure out what password it wanted until I thought I’d try my WiFi password. Bingo! With AirPlay up and running I was eager to blast some music. Wow! Instantly impressive, room filling, rich, warm sound emanated from the Denon Home 350. The 350 has two 3/4 inch dynamic tweeters, two 2 inch mid bass drivers, and two 6 1/2 inch woofers. That’s a lot of speakers packed into the 350. The bass is impressive and the mid range and high end are sublime. Powering all this are 6 class D digital amplifiers. The 350 supports high resolution audio files 192kHz/24-bit using files in FLAC, WAV, ALAC, and DSD 2.8 and 5.6 MHz formats, either through a network connection or via the rear USB port. You can also stream high quality music from Amazon Music HD and TIDAL. I’ll be getting one or the other, The control panel on the top of the Home 350 is also very nice. The panel has a proximity sensor which detects your hand and lights up revealing 6 music presets. You can add streaming music station in the HEOS app and simply and conveniently select them with a touch. Also on the panel are a play button and volume up and down controls. The Denon Home 350 is an impressive wireless high quality audio entertainment system. My only disappointment is the HEOS app but I am hopeful that future updates will improve its functionality. Highly recommended.

Bought as a pair to use in stereo mode. music would go out of sync. Plugged into wired network issue went away. You would think with the money you pay for these that wouldn't be an issue as im sure the built in mics help identify which is left and right speaker why couldn't it buffer itself to keep insync

The speakers in the box and out is very unassuming. Very easy on the eyes, but you would never dream it sounds as good as it does. The motion sensor activation of the controls oooozes style and class. The speaker weighs about 17-19 pounds and blends in effortlessly with its surroundings. I read the instructions and power it up. The HEOS had no problem connecting with my Denon receiver. Everything is extremely user friendly too. I put on some music and was instantly floored. I thought I had left my monitors playing in the other room. Because the sound was so rich. Incredible bass that's not too punchy, the highs are crystal clear and not splashy at all. Midrange speakers keep up with the bass perfectly and the end result is all 3 blending into amazing sounds. This thing blends perfectly with other Heos devices you may have in other rooms. You can stream music from your favorite streaming services through this speaker or use the HEOS from your AV receiver and send the music from it to your 350. Anything that has HEOS will work with this speaker. You can stream with your 350 in one room and listen to the same music or something different in the other room (s) Do not let the sticker shock surprise you. This jewel is ahead of its time. Sounds better, no way better than others. Why? Because there's nothing like this on the market. Hi-Res Audio, Without the Hi-Fi System Featuring (2) dynamic 0.75" tweeters, (2) 4" bass drivers, a 5.25" passive radiator & sound master tuning, the Denon Home 350 gives you clear highs & deep lows for an exceptional sound quality from a single speaker. Ive been an audiophile for 35 years and I have never heard anything like this. This thing is worth every dime. Comes in white or black.

Beautiful design and heavy with a nice fabric cover. It screamed high quality coming right out of the box. Set up was pretty simple. Just download the HEOS app and follow the instructions. Only one glitch that worked itself out by just starting over. Not sure what I did, but it wouldn’t find my network at first and the light didn’t turn green. Restarted and it went right through. First placement was on my desk in an open space and wasn’t that impressed with the bass. Once I moved it closer to a wall, the bass really kicked in. Since the bass comes out the back of the unit, I’m assuming the improvement was due to the reflection off the wall. Be careful if you live in an apartment and put it near your neighbor’s wall There is a placement setting in the app. I found using the “open space, away from walls” setting the best even though it is near a wall. Experiment with that. Very loud. Easily fills my living room with crystal clear audio even at lower levels. Very impressive. Recently added Amazon Music HD to my account and the difference is really night and day. HD music sounds incredible on this. It really comes alive in HD. A couple of cons: I wish the EQ in the app had midrange and not just bass and treble sliders. You could really dial it in with a midrange slider. Maybe a future update will add that. One can only hope. I had really hoped to use this with my PC as Bluetooth but there is a really bad audio delay (1-2 seconds) between what’s really playing and what comes out of the speaker. Doesn’t matter if just playing audio but impossible to play a game or watch a video like that. No amount of rebooting, un-pairing and re-pairing it helped. Maybe I’ll eventually get that figured out but for now, I’m giving up on that. None of my other Bluetooth speakers have this issue so I’m at a loss… This is definitely one of the best speakers I’ve ever heard. Love it!!

    Unrivaled Music Quality

First off, the Denon Home 350 Wireless Speaker is not for everybody. Given its high price point, it’s clearly designed for true audiophiles (with deep pockets). Secondly, this thing is big, I mean breadbox big. But it will fill your room (and probably your house) with an incredibly rich sound. I’ve been a devotee of Denon sound systems for decades. Their sound and build quality are hard to surpass, and this unit is worthy of the Denon brand. The first thing that impressed me about this unit was the separation. As rich and remarkable as the sound is with this speaker, it uniquely separates the vocals from the music and allows you to hear the singer as clearly as I’ve ever heard. The treble is remarkable; you can hear every single percussion instrument, no matter how subtle it may have been on your other speakers. The midrange is solid, delivering your music like you’ve never heard it before. The bass response is the best I’ve ever heard, and I own more than a few high end speakers. The bass is deeper than I can recall from a speaker, without drowning out every other instrument. I played a track with the heaviest bass I have, and this speaker delivered. The bass was booming! Even at high volume, there was absolutely no distortion. Zero. The top of the unit has Play, and Volume up and down buttons that light up automatically for you to see when your hand passes over the unit. There are also preselect buttons (1 -6 ) that you can program to play your favorite music streaming service. The Denon Home HEOS app had me up and running in no time. Music can be played wirelessly from the app via your home network or Bluetooth connection. The app has a healthy array of all major music streaming services that make it easy to switch from one service to another with a mere touch of the company’s logo. Once your streaming service has been activated in the app, the preselect buttons on top allow you to play that service without using your phone or streaming source. The USB port in the back of the unit is perfect for plugging in my iPod to keep it charged. That was a nice touch. This Denon Home 350 is the end all, be all, in wireless speakers. It has the best sound quality I’ve ever heard. The high price point might scare away the casual listeners, but true audiophiles will pay for the privilege of listening to their music with the best quality there is in a wireless speaker. This speaker is amazing, and I am so happy to have it.

First, if you’re in a hurry and just want my take away…I’m very impressed with this Denon Home 350 Wireless Speaker and can highly recommend it to others. If you buy one, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a lot of money, but probably would be worth it in your pursuit of great sound. Full Disclosure: I received this product through Best Buy’s Tech Insider Network in exchange for an unbiased evaluation and review. I review products honestly and have written several unfavorable reviews since joining TIN in 2015. Packaging If you order the speaker online, it should make it to your home just fine. Mine arrived double boxed and very well protected. Denon did not skimp on packaging. I found one item of packaging to be very unique. The speaker is wrapped in plastic. But, when un-boxing, if instead of just tearing it off, you carefully unfold the top of the plastic, it reveals itself to be a very stout double-handled plastic bag that allows you to just lift the speaker right out of the packaging and out of the box. I’ve never seen that before. You don’t need to flip the box upside down to tip the speaker out. You don’t need to claw at the speaker to try and hold onto it as you try and drag it out of the box. You just grab the bag handles and lift it up. Kudos to Denon for a new idea! Setup Actually, my wife was one who wanted this speaker for our bedroom. So, after I unboxed it, I turned it over to her and went back into my home office. Not five minutes later I heard music playing. I went back to check on her and found that in that short time she had installed the HEOS app on her android phone, connected to our Wi-Fi, and was streaming songs from Amazon Prime Music. Normally, she doesn’t consider herself to be a very “techy” person and usually relies on me for that kind of stuff. So, I was extremely impressed with the ease at which she was able to get it set up. I tip my hat to both my wife and the engineers at Denon. Sound Quality OMG, this speaker delivers an outstanding sound. It is very impressive! I’m not an audiophile, and I don’t know how to put this in audio terms, but I do know what I like and I like this speaker’s sound! It basically delivers everything you want in a speaker. The bass and treble can be adjusted using the equalizer in the HEOS app. Both are preset at the factory to play at the very middle of each range. The bass on the speaker is so strong that the first thing we did with the app was reduce the amount of bass. It really was impressive, but a bit strong for our taste. However, I’m sure the majority of listeners would revel in the pounding bass the Denon Home 350 Wireless Speaker delivers. Features The Denon Home 350 weighs in at a beefy 14 pounds and I think most of that is needed to keep it on the shelf when you have the bass cranked up. This is definitely not a portable speaker. It’s audio stream may be wireless, but it still needs to be plugged into a 120 volt outlet. Visually, the Denon Home 350 has a subdued personality. With its calm and minimalist design, it doesn’t scream look at me. It just wants you to listen. The absolute coolest feature is the one we will probably use the least and that is the touch controls on the top of the speaker. We prefer using the HEOS phone app. What makes the touch controls cool, is the speaker has a proximity sensor that can detect when your hand is approaching the speaker and then illuminates the backlighting on the controls. The Denon Home 350 offers Google Assistant, but we already have that on our Android smart phones. So, it is not a feature we will use a lot. Recommendation As I mentioned at the beginning of this review, I’m very impressed with this Denon Home 350 Wireless Speaker and can recommend it without reservation.

The Home 350 is step up from the previous HS series and a great speaker. Lots of options to get music to it and the quality is fantastic. Unpacking is easy, in the box, the speaker is in a plastic shopping like bag. Just pull the handles up and it’s out of the box. The black is nice, smooth and had no blemishes. Setup requires the HEOS App (for most setup options), and power. Once plugged you’ll see the physical buttons from previous models have been replaced by touch ones on the top that light up when near them. A simple press does the action. You have USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth, AUX, and wireless 2.4/5.0GHz for connecting. The HEOS App guides you through the process. Setup is simple. For Wireless it uses Bluetooth to initially setup the unit, and ethernet was detected immediately. Once connected you can use the HEOS app to setup rooms, combine the unit with other HEOS enabled systems/speakers, and adjust the settings. There were firmware upgrades, and they take a few minutes to do. I currently have two HS2 setup in stereo mode with a Heos subwoofer. The 350 states it has stereo built in due to the number of speakers it has. In comparing the HS2s/subwoofer to the 350 by itself, the 350 is a good match. It is warmer and richer than the smaller HS2s. The subwoofer isn’t as booming as a dedicated subwoofer, but it was not far off. In higher volumes the 350 subwoofer did not distort. It has a wide soundstage for a single unit, it can do stereo by itself. From high to low, and classical to rock, the speaker sounded great. I used high-res music from my own server and from Amazon. The 350 really lets you appreciate the higher-level recordings. It catches all the nuances HD music can deliver. In the Heos App, you can adjust the bass, treble, light settings, network setting, and do updates. I tried wireless, BT, and ethernet and music sounded great every time. It ran in sync with my HS2 setup easily. Make sure the speaker, Heos App, and any other applications are all updated to the lasted version. I had some connection issues, but after updating everything, and restarting, everything connected fine. Spotify is outside of the Heos app, and was able to see the speaker use it with no issues. The app can also adjust the sound based on where in the room you tell it the speaker is. Close a wall, or corner etc to maximize the sound. The speaker looks nice and delivers great sound anywhere you put it.

the good: - sound, sound, and more sound - Wow! I've never heard anything this small pump out this much quality sound. Great for near-field listening but also pretty easily fills up a medium sized space with what feels like tons of headroom. - design and footprint - Call me old fashioned, but I like the simplistic design. A small and clean rectangle shape with a relatively small footprint. Nothing fancy (on the outside, that is). - easy setup and connectivity - I found the setup via the HEOS app very straight forward. Assuming you have decent wi-fi (or use the included ethernet port) signal is rock solid. Once I paired it with my iPad, the rest of my Apple devices now see it and play over the 350 just by selecting the audio out from the device. Very cool! - sound quality over a broad codec spectrum - This to me is a big one in the "pro" column - this guy is clearly designed to make the most of whatever your source is. Play compressed music (Pandora) through the 350 and it sounds really good. Give it lossy AAC or MP3 files (Spotify or Apple Music) and holy cow does it come to life. Play some lossless files (FLAC or ALAC) and oh man, audiophile territory! Sound is punchy and accurate, clear from top to bottom. I wouldn't say it's entirely neutral but it isn't overly bright either. Everything just sounds *right*, if that makes sense. the bad: - No *real* complaints with this speaker. My only super minor nit-pick is that the sticker on the face uses a tacky adhesive that doesn't come off cleanly. It's more of a nusance than anything, just means that you'll need to clean the area on the top before it's clean and ready to roll. It works fine otherwise. misc: - None to speak of. I'd have loved to test out the HEOS technology but that will have to wait for my next Denon speaker. From what I understand, the multi-room playback functionality is fantastic and I can't wait to try it out. overall: - Overall I have zero complaints with the 350. It's a little on the pricey side, but to me it very much feels worth it, especially if you're already (or plan to) dive into the HEOS platform. Excellent and copious amounts of sound in a small package.

I have several friends that have Sonos systems and this speaker sounds better than the Sonos 5. Very deep bass and fills the room with sound. The HEOS app is very easy to use and integrates with my Spotify seamlessly. The speaker is very customizable through the app. It’s amazing how you can control many speakers independently and/or as a multi room experience without any bridge or connected amps. Very cool how it’s all through your phone. The only reason I took one star away is the price is a bit steep compared to the competition.

This speaker is a great wireless streaming speaker. The sound was able to more than adequately fill my living area as well as reach other areas of the house (approx. 1700sqft) with only one speaker putting out sound. The unit is heavy for its size and requires access to power to be plugged in. This is important to note in the event you are looking at multiple units in a single room. I don’t have other HEOS enabled AV so I did not test multiroom functions in the setup. The app is easily installed but a bit lackluster if you are used to in depth controls. This may be due to the shear simplicity of the speaker unit. Completing the WIFI setup was very quick and simple. After that however, I did not find the app overly intuitive to use. Despite spending some time with the app, I still find myself studying it to figure out how to switch music sources or put music in the queue. The EQ function only addresses treble and bass and doesn’t have any preset stops or indicators between units of 5 for the treble and bass settings. The sound is crisp and clear and the bass adequately fills out your sound. If you are looking for the full thump of a subwoofer, this unit does not have truly deep bass, but does well overall. Adjusting treble and bass in EQ make some difference to the sound output, but it is not jaw dropping or overly noticeable. I was able to easily stream music from my iPhone as well as Amazon Music, Youtube and SiriusXM. The preset feature allows you to choose 6 total presets from your favorite stations and have one touch access to them from the unit without having a phone or tablet nearby. I look forward to using this when I am entertaining and possibly expanding to add another speaker in the future for multi-location applications. Unit comes with wall mount thumb screw but does not include any mounts or mounting instructions. If you, like I did, decide to put the wall mount screw in the slot on the speaker to make sure you don't lose it, but position the speaker on a table, you will find it makes the speaker unlevel.

Just WOW. The sound that comes from this thing is freaking AMAZING! I cannot believe how much detail and depth it has. This is definitely the best wireless speakers I have ever heard. So impressed. The app for optimizing the sound works very well. I was able to make adjustments when I brought it in different rooms. A great feature to have. It plays very well in all size rooms. The wifi/bluetooth connected very easily. I was able to stream high res music from various services with no issues. I liked be able to stream wherever I was in the house without having to leave my phone in the same room. Definitely a nice change. The looks of the speaker are pretty simple. It is very heavy, but that is a good thing to me. It's built like a tank. It paired very nicely with my Denon AVR and performed with no issues. Really enjoying this thing. Great product Denon!

The Denon - Home 350 Wireless Speaker is a terrific product. Packaged well, instructions clear and easy to link to my phone. I was really impressed with the sound quality. The sound was very crisp and clear. Bass is exactly as it should be, low rumbling without any kind of vibration that would distort the sound. This speaker is heavy! I know it can be mounted to a wall but it's suited very well as a bookshelf speaker. I have it set up on a halfwall between 2 rooms and it sounds awesome. My only criticism is the app that is used for this speaker. It's awful. Why do I need to use a 3rd party app to play music on Amazon music or Pandora? I'm unsure if there's a way around this, however the product is fantastic on its own.
