Better than the first
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Way better than than the first. You can join clans in game, wayyy less grinding than the first. When you get a legendary or exotic all perks are all unlocked right away. I hated grinding to unlock perks on my new gun on the first Destiny. Better story this time around as well. I would recommend giving it a try people.

Nearly perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played the first Destiny on launch, but it always seemed like I couldn't really progress without playing with friends. I eventually hit a wall around level 6 and stopped playing. I picked up Destiny 2 to play with my brother, but realized that I'd need to level up for a bit before we'd be able to play together. What a difference! I wouldn't call it easy, but it's definitely miles ahead of the original. I was able to solo about 90% of the campaign. The 10% was when I was able to play with others. I haven't gotten into the PvP stuff or played raids, but the storyline is really good and there are a ton of fun sidequests so far. Some of my complaints: Some of the directional hints can get weird when things are above you. Sometimes the arrow will just flop back and forth as you try to find your way. That's your hint to go higher or lower. Loading can be a bit long, but nothing terrible. This only happens when you switch planets for the most part. In short, it's a very fun game that you can play by yourself or with others.

Fantastic just like the first
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this game series! The story is pretty intense compared to the last one, much better in my opinion. The graphics are absolutely beautiful. I am greatly enjoying the improvements to the weapon/armor system as well. For those of you who are Captain America fans, the shield titan does not disappoint

Destiny 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is really fun to play with friends. And if you don't have any friends, you can do guided games selection and play with other people. The story is very strong, you don't really have to play 1 to know this one and missions are very long/informative and challenging. Music is also a plus.

Destiny2 is amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Destiny 2 on the PS4 is simply stunning. Love all the new changes to the map system and the storyline actually makes sense. Cool new side missions are updated every Tuesday so don't worry about running out of things to do after the main story missions. Can't wait for the first DLC pack to drop!

Great game play
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the PVP and the storyline. My husband and son play it almost daily. They enjoy being able to change out their weapons and gear. There are constantly goals to reach to get the next piece of better gear. They also enjoy playing with friends online. Con - there is no split screen option.

If you liked the first one...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You'll like Destiny 2. They've made a lot of improvements (better leveling system, less need for endless hours of grinding, better side quest system) but also fell short in a few places. Don't let that deter you much, though, as they are sure to improve a lot. If you've not purchased it already, I say wait for the first DLC. That way you will have more content to play with. The first raid is okay. They tried to do something different, and I liked most of it, but it also fell slightly short. It relies too much on communication and that can be hard when you have six people talking over each other trying to give some sort of direction. All in all, it's a lot of fun and worth the money.

Must have
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a great game. Bungie truly outdid themselves with this one. Wonderful content all around. I’m a year 1 destiny 1 player and it still took me almost 100hours to reach endgame. I cannot wait for all the content bungie has planned for the future. Game is a must have.

Better than the first
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Game is much better than the first. The story and single player is better. Raids with friends are still fun. Overall it's a sequel that steps it up and is better than the original.

More of the same...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay, hear me out... I put plenty of time into the first Destiny. It was a fun and social experience, but took far too long to get varied content. I felt like I was playing the same thing over and over and over again. Destiny 2 out the gate was a better experience. The campaign was fun and the multiplayer is tight. However, I felt the same ol' same ol' feeling much sooner this time. It's worth getting this at a discounted price to blast through the content with a couple of characters. Past that, I haven't revisited it.

The good, the bad, the ugly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Destiny 2 is an odd game for me, since Destiny in its final days was perfect to me. Side note, I have spent around 1455 hours playing Destiny over 3+ years. When Destiny received it's last expansion, the team that developed it tried to fix all of the grinding and monotony in the game. They made it easy to progress in level by giving you plenty of options to choose from. Most in-game activities had the potential to give you gear that helped you level. Now, with Destiny 2, it feels like they left that way of thinking behind. Destiny 2 is a real grind-fest in order to level up. Adding to the grind-fest is the severe lack of things to do in the game after you finish it and are trying to hit the current level cap of 305. With each weekly reset you have a few activities that give you random rewards to help you level. The problem is that you don't always get what you need, and that means you have to wait another week for another random chance at leveling up. After I beat the game, it didn't take long to notice the game didn't have much to offer. I hope Bungie fixes the game as time goes on. For more info, search the web for problems with Destiny 2. With all of that being said, Bungie still hits the mark with their control setup in the game. The controls are super responsive and feel natural. For now I wouldn't recommend this game to an individual looking for a game with a lot to do in it. Maybe wait for a later release that includes the DLC if you are on the fence.

Fun But Repetitive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a fun game to play with friends. The gameplay is a bit repetitive however. If you like playing online coop shooters, you will most likely enjoy this game.

Great Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Game has been fine tuned from the original. Everything goes much smoother, from level/character progression to learning the ins and outs of competitive gameplay. The game is very co-op heavy, but you are able to play by yourself and still progress. You have several weekly challenges to keep you busy once you've reached the "end of the game". Characters from the original game are brought over, but progression is reset; however it will recap what you have done in the original. Still seems like it's going to be heavy on payed DLC, but for actual game content, not multiplayer/competitive edge.

Fun for awhile but letdown
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The story for Destiny 2 is pretty decent. The best gameplay comes during the prologue and kind of pacing through the story. Early endgame content isn't too bad for the first week. But the game becomes more repetitive then its predecssor. With exotic gear being easier to get and less quests around them it becomes a run around and just farm enemies and in game events; without any real goal in mind other than get everything and farm exp to get items normally gotten with real money.

Worth the Wait
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Destiny 2 was so worth the wait! With the build up and pre-release hype, we expected a great game-and, we got one! Destiny 2 is good from the get go. Great graphics, great action. Definitely a game you'll play for hours on end!
