Great graphics, great gun play.. good campaign. PVP is ok. Worth it for sure if you enjoyed Destiny 1

Much better than the original Destiny. There's much more story to keep you hooked on playing and the game is just more fluid and less of a hassle than the original.

I've played Destiny 1 almost since launch, but I originally had my doubts on Destiny 2. I thought it might be too much of the same, even after playing the beta. After finding a rental copy, I underestimated how many improvements Bungie has made since the first game. It looks sharper and controls the same, but the overall design is tighter and smarter, the story is much more clear and personal, characters are more expressive, and your character grows stronger at a much faster pace. Playing solo doesn't come to a big roadblock anymore. Customizing your character is more in-depth. Even after finishing the story, there are a large number of side missions to keep you going, and that's just PvE. PvP is bound to keep people going for a long time, at least until the next weapon balance update makes them quit. If you disliked Destiny 1 or thought it was boring, you probably won't like the sequel either. If you liked Warframe, The Division, or Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, you may like this.

The campaign is much better than the first. The multiplayer is excellent as always. People might be turned off by the grind but that’s what destiny is all about!

Super Awesome game better than the Awesome 1st. very entertaining and lots to see and do. I have not gotten the expansion packs yet but that will be coming soon!

This is my first time playing this game as i did not play the previous title. So far its pretty fun; single player story mode gets you ready for the online multiplayer. i can see why others may give this game 5/5 but for me since the majority of the game after the story mode is online and its very hard to do without a team (can but done but it will be challenging) i give it a 4/5. that's just me; however it's worth the buy.

If you liked the first destiny you will like this one even more. The new additions to the game along with the actual story add great depth to the gameplay

I like the improved story and some of the quality-of-life changes but I do not find that the game has much replay-ability. I'm really not going to buy anything for actual money regardless of how integrated that is because I don't believe in encouraging that business model. It's a much better launch than Destiny 1 but given that I've basically completed everything in the game and the PvP is tired...I'm also tired.

After quitting vanilla Destiny 1 rather quickly, frustrated with lack of story and lack of content, Destiny 2 was a breath of fresh air (only gave it a shot after hearing how much D1 improved through DLC). Fluid gameplay, plenty of early game content, servicable story with great music/sound/voice acting. Looking forward to the future plans and content from Bungie in this installment.

Everything great in the first game is made better in this one!! Gorgeous graphics, stirring music, great humor, even better and a more cohesive story!!

Destiny 2 back to leveling up with a great story, multiplayer and expansion packs. Graphics are gorgeous and definitely a upgrade from the original.

Compared to its predecessor this game has better control, gameplay, and graphics. Definitely worth buying. Fantastic story and excellent multiplayer.

For those that enjoyed Destiny 1, this is an obvious purchase. Destiny 2 doesn't change the formula too much, but there are some nice improvements/additions. Graphics and sound are superb, and the gameplay mechanics are smooth as silk. The presentation of the story is improved with gorgeous cutscenes and good voice acting. Some gripes: I hoped for more intricate and customizable skill trees, but Bungie simplified them and there's nothing particularly new and exciting. Immediately after the faceroll story mode (basically to level 20) begins the grind, and endgame content is essentially locked behind light level thresholds. What this means is that enjoying all of the content the game has to offer is more dependent on how much time you have to grind repetitive content than your skill level. For new players: if you don't like to grind, this game likely won't be your cup of tea.

Much better than the 1st one and seems like they were into more in depth. Single campaign is much more detailed and gameplay is great.

Great game overall. The story is much better than the last one and it is more open to adventures than tying you down to one storyline.

I was a big fan of Destiny 1 to the point that I had a love / hate relationship with it. I hated the grinding and same old maps, raids, etc. but due to the social aspects (friends) I played it over and over. This one doesn't grab me the same way mainly because my social support isn't there. It's a good game but you have to have a group of friends to play it and really enjoy it.

Destiny has been a great franchise... I didn't think they could make it better, but they did. Forget Halo, Destiny 2 is the way to go!

After my love/hate relationship with the first Destiny game I was not overly excited with the newest installment incoming with Destiny 2. While I enjoyed the beta for this game I still was not yet convinced that I was going to dive back into the madness of Destiny. It wasn't until I bought my fiancé a copy (as requested) for one of her birthday gifts that I started to reconsider traveling down this road again. We enjoy playing together and that was restored my love and passion for this game. Then there's the countless objectives, endless gameplay, meeting new friends, they've even added a great story and excellent visuals this time around. Anyone from the vanilla version would love and appreciate the details that have been put into this sequel. This game has drawn me back inside and I am currently enjoying the ride with my fellow guardians.
