I have over 1000hrs in Destiny. Completed every raid and have gone flawless multiple times on PS4 and PC. The enemies are re-skinned versions of D1 enemies. The subclasses are re-skinned with the exception of sentinel and dawnblade. Arc strider is basically bladedancer. The end games is boring. No random rolls on guns. No reason to play after you beat the game. PVP is broken. Players get killed behind walls/corners constantly and also get spawn killed a lot. Look it up on YouTube. $59.99 plus $20 for each DLC is theft. This game should not be full price. Buy this game in a year when it'll come with the DLC.

I've been wanting to try out Destiny since the original, but wasn't ready to commit to a console version. This PC version does not feel like a port like many other cross-platform games do. Gameplay is smooth and the graphics are much improved over console versions, especially if you have a machine capable of pushing 144fps. End game comes quickly and provides dozens of hours of fun, but can get tiresome after a while when you begin to max out on gear. Bungie is remedying this situation through patches and DLC expansions, so we'll have to see if it increases the longevity of the game long-term.

    Destiny Finally on PC

The PC version of Destiny 2 is without a doubt the definitive version of the game. Beautiful graphics, silky smooth frame rate and the ability to aim with a mouse. While this time around Destiny does a better job at telling a story some of the design decisions they made are questionable. PVP matchmaking remains the broken mess it has always been. Joining and dropping fireteams can cause you to miss out on loot which is also extremely annoying. While it is not without its problems it is still a good game and all of these things could be fixed if Bungie/Activision are motivated enough to do so.

This game is the most fun with other people. If you plan to take advantage of that then i would recommend you buy this game. You can have a lot of fun with just this version, but since this is one of those dread games as a service it is always evolving and if you plan to keep up you will have to pay more. Just a warning for those that may not be up to date on the latest news. Im a bit bummed that i bought this on release for full price and it went to 30 bucks a month later but that was no fault of the game, if you can get this for around that price its a good time and will be well worth it.

I didn't have much experience with the first game but I've been playing Destiny 2 constantly since release. The combat is fluid and fun enough that I keep coming back for more every day. I usually move on from games not too long after release but this has kept my attention. If you have a reliable friend(s) to play this with then I think you'll enjoy it. Very fun cooperative experience and who can resist scoring loot? Main campaign is fairly short but that's not really what you're getting this for. Servers have been reliable and overall just a solid game that I look forward to playing more.

I was a little skeptical when I saw that Destiny 2 was gonna be on PC since it was previously a console game only but it actually runs really well and even better now after a graphics driver update from Nvidia. The combat and everything is fluid and the story is decent but the quests can get repetitive since they can have the same mission types but different enemies and setting. I learn to accept this since there will be updates and expansions and also because this is a loot based game but I still want to mention it for those that don't care as much for repetitive grinding in loot games.

Destiny 2 starts with a very well constructed campaign and has really beautiful environments that the game likes to show off early on. The story is pretty straightforward but works well enough. The campaign is pretty short though. The multi-player is a fundamentally fun mode, especially when playing with friends, but suffers the same issue with a lack of depth and variety of objectives, which means you will probably get a good 20 hours of good gameplay out of this game, but it will gate stale and repetitive after that.

"Release day shipping" was late. Will be doing in-store pickup from now on. I have also yet to receive the 500 rewards points for my pre-order with GCU... Content was locked behind DLC paywall a month after release. After finishing weekly milestones, there's no real reason to keep playing, as there's no other way to level up. Not much to do after reaching maximum light either since the loot is generic and lackluster. Feels like Bungie took 3 years of community feedback from the original Destiny and threw it out in favor of the loot box cash grab.

I have played this game since release and maxed out my light for all 3 characters in the expansion. I've pretty much done it all, raids, prestige, etc. The game is very smooth, and very fun to play. The main issue with this game is the content. Bungie has addressed a lot of the issues, but it is still nowhere near D1. I hope that in the future it'll get better, but right now after hitting max light there is not much to do other than grind out loot. TBH, none of the loot is that memorable, some of the exotics are cool, but most are not to die for.

I have spent over 100 hours on the PS4 version of Destiny 2 and just wanted to give the PC version a try. WOW! There is no discussion about this, the pc version of this game is the best,,, by far. The frames boost. The field of view is so much larger (if your GPU can handle it) and it really makes a difference. I won't be going back to the PS4 version. My only complaint is that I have already purchased the DLC for both upcoming expansions for the PS4 and now I will have to purchase them again for the PC. But, overall, this game is made for the PC.

Unfortunately they never made Destiny 1 for PC, so this is a pc gamer's first jump into the series...but it's a good one. You don't "miss" anything by starting with the 2nd game, it is really pick up and play, and you'll have a lot of fun. I'd go with a modern PC for this game...as your 4 year old rig may not cut it unless you cut down the options on graphics. The game uses Blizzard's login system (ie Diablo) so the game will always be registered to your account. It's a lot of fun and I highly recommend the game.

Much more content than launch D1 overall. But end game and lack of things to do when you get there is reached very very quickly. D1 was a game you could put thousands of hours into grinding different things, D2 is much much more casual friendly. I think this is a positive for someone like myself with a little less time to devote to gaming now, but I understand the complaints of the D1 loyal players. Hopefully the live team will take over and make improvements over the year for those looking to re-create their D1 playtime.

This is the first MMO style of game, fps or otherwise, where the grind is just not an issue. There is so much to do and soooo many guns to get. Is is a lot like borderlands in that respect. The story is well thought out and the voice acting is also well done. They throw in just the right ouch of humor into it. You can't go wrong with purchasing destiny 2. I can't wait to get some alt's started...not so much for the ability to raise power level quickly with an alt, but just to see how the other characters play.

I never played the original Destiny. This game has great shooting, and is overall a fun game to play, but understand what you're getting into. The content kind of runs out quickly. You can beat the story line pretty quickly, then it turns into a grind for better gear. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, I thought the game was still fun, but with only 1 raid and a handful "dungeons", i wish there was more. The quests are fun, but they seem to just kind of repeat the same type of tasks over and over again.

So this been has been fun. Played for a few weeks and I finally reached end game. End game is weird because it's not based on your character level but gear light level. However, higher gear level doesn't make you more powerful. So if you have a level 300 light weapon, you'll do about the same damage as a noob with a level 50 light weapon. The light level cap is geared toward raid requirement but it does almost nothing for you in terms of power. That's probably because this game is fps first, mmo 2nd.

I love this game. I played hours of it. The expansions are very cool and deep with story. If you played the first one, your going to love this one. Can't wait for the taken king in September. I definitely recommend it to a friend. The only problem is you need friends to play with, so you can beat the raids. If you're getting this game make sure you have friends to play with. If not just play online and find someone. Graphics are beautiful and smooth as ever. Bungie killed it.

Destiny 2, unlike Destiny, is finally on PC and performance and graphics are great. The game is similar to Destiny as a first-person pseudo-MMORPG, and to be fully enjoyed requires friends who also play as there is end-game emphasis on clans, strikes and raids that require good coordination. If you buy the game with the intent of single-player only, spend your money elsewhere as the campaign is relatively short 3-6hrs and lackluster/repetitive compared to other single-player games.

Sooo glad they put this one out for PC. I am terrible with shooters on console so even though I tried the first one out on PlayStation and really liked it I didn't buy because , for me, shooters are not fun on console. This game has tons to do, has a fairly low learning curve and you can make it as intense or laid back as you like. One of the few games where you can jump in for 30 minutes of several hours. This game is what the shooter MMO Blizzard cancelled should have been.

I went into the game having played Destiny1, I quit playing probably 3 months later and then the taken king was a pretty strong entry that really got me back into the game. Destiny 2 picks up where Taken King left off with some great additions, especially for PC, (in-game type chat, unlimited cap/res, plus really smooth gunplay.) Bungie is a company that is always evolving the game and listens to the community, so I can't wait to see what else they add with each update!

Despite all the things being said about Destiny 2, I'm just a fan of open worlds and leveling up. I'm just now getting into PC gaming, I played many hours of Destiny 2 on my Xbox and it became real mundane and boring. But the visuals on the PC have really renewed my interest in the game. So in my opinion, if you have a good enough GPU for the job then pick it up, enjoy the visuals, and you'll forget about all the negativity that surrounds the game.
