I would not recommend mounting this soundbar unless you know for sure is the last thing you going to mount! This 4 foot long, 26 lb monstrosity fits perfectly in your modern living room and packs a punch straight out the box. Very few ports in the back but just enough to plug into your TV (HDMI/ARC recommended) and doesn't come with a remote which is actually refreshing so I don't risk losing any more remotes. Instead the internal settings are app controlled. The app of course, being very user-friendly and easy to navigate, set up an account, add the device and it's ready to go. The little ball in the middle is a room size detector for sound calibration. It can be adjusted based on whether you mount it or set it on your TV stand. Sound starts off pretty bassy, so definitely change your preferences once the sound bar is set up. Overall it's very clear crisp theater like quality and by far the best sound upgrade I've had in a while. For the price it makes sense. If you want good quality you need to invest in it. Hopefully this will be the last sound bar you have to buy.

Phenomenal Sound in a Single Package

The Devialet Dione Dolby Atmos soundbar is a phenomenal all in one solution for theater type sound if you have the space and the money. The Dione is fairly wide, but can be placed flat on a shelf or mounted upright on a wall. In order to do this is you rotate the center channel ball and flip the soundbar around so that the left becomes right and vice versa. You can then setup the orientation in the Devialet app. The rest of the Dione setup is very simple and only takes a few minutes through the app. At lower volumes it hard to tell just how well this soundbar can sound. In my setup, the Dione soundbar comes alive around 40-50% volume to get that amazing theater sound. Most other soundbars I've tested out usually sound the same at all volumes. While it does have good bass, it requires volume and just doesn't sound quite as good as a dedicated subwoofer, but if your short on space, this is definitely an all in one solution to consider. One minor issue I have been having is that sometimes the soundbar will not turn on with the TV. I must power cycle the soundbar to get sound back. At this price point I expect it to just work. Another issue I have is that you can not customize the sound at all. You can't adjust the center level, or even the bass. I think these are basic things you should have access to. It would also be great to have quick access to Night mode or something like that. There is an option in the app to reduce bass to "smooth" the sound out, but it's not the same. It would also be nice if it came with a remote. Likes: 1.) Phenomenal sound in a single package 2.) Easy to setup 3.) Easy to use app Dislikes: 1.) No remote 2.) No way to customize sound 3.) Pricey

Amazing sound once you get it setup. The reason why i gave the soundbar 4 stars is because the devialet app for android tends to be a pain for the setup and it would not go through i got tired of trying. I had tried my other android phones and tablet to get it done and still would not finish the setup. Only my sis has an iphone who came over to let me use it to set it up. After this then i was able to complete the setup and wow this soundbar has amazing sound. Devialet really needs to get the android app to work because its a shame such an expensive product with awesome features and sound is handicapped without the app. So what the app does is help fill the room with the properly tuned sound I used it without going through with the app and it was really good but the app does add on to that . What surprised me is the sound feeling like it comes from different location. Add dolby atmos to it and any video source that supports dolby atmos just add another layer of amazing sound . You can use the tv remote to control the volume . Turn off or on the tv and the soundbar turns on as well. Just connect the soundbar to the correct hdmi port usually labeled ARC and you're good to go.

True, Clear Sound and Exceptional Quality

This soundbar is excellent and top-of-the-line. One of the first things I noticed when listening to the audio from this sounder - whether it be from a movie or streaming music - is the fantastic clarity. I heard nuances in instrumentation, slight breaths in singing. Action scenes in movies had depth and range - without being overly heavy in the bass. The sound coming out the Dione is an experience...but you have to use it correctly. For one, the system really sounds best when connected to HDMI/(e)ARC with sources that support the higher-end Dolby audio standards. But even streaming music via bluetooth or AirPlay was just a simply pleasant experience. One other benefit of using eARC was that it allows simplicity of control. The Dione has no remote control (relying on the TV's audio control) and any configuration will need to be done via a company app. Such things usually annoy me, but the Devialet app is...OK. You can set the "Bass reducer mode" (but no option to control how much reduction) and if you're using optical, you'll need the app to adjust the volume. The app also has a tool called "Room Calibration." This is pretty cool in concept, although I admit I couldn't tell much of a difference after I ran it. That said, when I moved the soundbar to another (smaller) room, the calibrated difference was every-so-slightly more perceptible to me. But all of this leads to the biggest question of all: the price. Yes, it's very expensive; but the build quality is top-notch (the soundbar is quite heavy, actually) and the overall quality of sound is what one would expect from Devialet. At the end of the day, one can probably find less expensive options that sound just as good; but as it stands, I'm really enjoying the sound coming from the Dione and I'm quite happy with it.

Does not work with LG eARC HDMI

Sounds fantastic when it’s working, but according to devialet there is a ‘handshake issue’ with LG HDMI outputs. They figured this out after replacing mine once.
