    I must admit I have not seen any part of this series. I bought it because my daughter loves the books. Judging by how often it's left in the DVD player, she has not been disappointed.

    The Diary of a Wimpy Kid books are timeless & the movies follow the books pretty well. My kids were motivated to read the books after watching the movies.

    Personally I have never heard of this series, this was a grand-daughters pick... all I know is that her pretty blue eyes got as big as the moon when she picked it up.
