I was purchased as a backup battery to use in addition to the battery that came with the camera. It works just as well as the original.

We needed either a battery or a charger because we left the charger home on a trip and the battery we had in the camera was depleted. The Best Buy store seemed like the right place to go. The assistant suggested a second battery is always a good choice, and that they come pre-charged. We put it in the camera, all the bars lit up, then it went dark. No charge. The battery was fine once we got back from our vacation and charged it up. Just a heads up if you think it's plug-n-go.

This non-OEM Canon battery works just fine in my Canon Camera, no less of battery life that I can see. I would buy again from this manufacturer.
