It's universal, but my battery actually faces sideways, so I got confused. Once I got the connection right, it worked perfectly.

Didn't want to spend $120 to purchase another scanner so thought I could charge just the battery. But there wasn't a charger for that specific battery. The Digipower was able to charge the battery. Charges all sorts of batteries. Happy with it.

Battery Charger did not work as advertised

However, although the instruction, sparse and incomplete as they were noted the ability to charge both kinds of battery, in reality the charger did not charge the AA Lithium batteries. Also, the design was poor - I could not install the clear cover over the AA batteries while charging.
