Right out of its case,.. its a cd (disc) with brushes on the bottom which helps clean your player's lens. Pop it in your player and follow the steps with your remote, which includes all types of languages such English, Spanish, French, ect. It gives you the option to clean either your lens, setup-display-picture or sound system. It walks you thru step-by-step. If you need to recheck a setting again. it has a "test again" option. You can run any test you like or you can test all at onces, right after another. Theres a voice that helps you along the way. or tell you what to do next. If all settings are done right, remove the cd, place it back in its case and enjoy your movies and music in crystal clear sound.. I bought this to clean my ps3 that was skipping some bluray-movies and lagging some ps3-games. After running the cleaning process, it works like new again. GREAT PRODUCT! You should buy this1 out of the rest because it works on any player, rather than just a dvd player.

Between my DVD player and PS3, we watch a lot of movies. This cleaner is great and easy to use. But, at almost $40, it was frustrating to think I had to buy the more expensive Blu-Ray lens cleaner because that was the only one safe to use on game consoles. It doesn't seem like it should be so expensive when I can buy several CDs or DVDs for the same price as this lens cleaner - - and it is an item you need to own. There are very few choices available so the cost seems about the same as it did 20 years ago. However, I do believe that cleaners like this really do help extend the life of your electronics. So if it does cost a little more, this one is worth it.

Was having issues with my Sony blu ray playing correctly and after reading up on the subject determined the laser needing cleaning. Immediately went to BB and purchased this product, ran it through the cleaning sequence twice and the issue was resolved. End of story.

Had problems with movies and games for PS3. PS3 would not read blu-ray and games would also not read. We tried the PS3 fan trick to let fan force dust out and even Sony charged like $100 to take it and fix for a refurbished one. I heard of disc cleaners and decided to give this product a try. There was a review saying it won't work on PS3. Majority were positive and satisfied I bought product. Very easy to use with the help of voice instructions, and disc cleaner extras are a plus. Helps to make sure your sound system is working with calibration. It worked for me and, don't forget it does say on box to continue use once a month to prevent dust from building back up. I'm happy watching movies my son is happy playing games. CleanDr worked for us.

This works well enough but it seems a lot more expensive than it needs to be for what it does. It is easy enough to use, just put it in and let it go. What is annoying is there is a very long intro that if you try to skip it causes the whole thing to just start over again, meaning you can't skip it. So after you wait for this annoying lady to tell you why you are doing what you are doing, something you already know, then it lets you clean your device and move on to whatever else you want to do with the disk. At least it does the job well.

When playing a disc, my Blu-Ray DVD player was freezing, or hanging up. This usually happened just before the movie track, and after the previews, on every DVD disc I tried. Tech support for the player was very little help, but they did suggest that the laser lens on the player might be dirty and need cleaning. I tried the CleanDr. Laser Lens Cleaner and it did make a difference. I still occasionally have the problem, but I think it is a defect in the player. The CleanDr. Laser Lens Cleaner is a good diagnostic tool for your Blu-Ray player.

Bought this to clean a PS3 that was glitching a lot. And, it worked much better than I thought it would. My PS3 works like new again and now i use it monthly to maintain it.

I have a bluray theater multi function playe, it's five yrs old and never been cleaned. It started skipping and just not reading even brand new discs...almost tossed out and was about to spend big money! Then saw this cleaner disc system, after a few times of using it between watching other movies, my player is almost like new again!

I've had my blu-ray player for about 5 years. I noticed a couple months ago that it would not play certain blu-rays. I did not want to buy a new player and I didn't want to pay (yet) for a prof cleaning. I bought this disc cleaner and it worked the first time. But I do have to keep using it about every other time I want to watch a blu-ray. Maybe if I had started using it earlier, it would work better, but i'm happy that I don't have to replace my player yet.

We have two blueray players. The disc was easy to use with great instructions. Cleaned both players quickly and the results were excellent. Previously we were having problems with discs freezing, like a scratched disc. After using the cleaning disc, absolutely no problems.

The product cleaned my Blu Ray player and got rid of all the skipping and pausing.

I always make sure to clean up my disc drive. Products like these keep your electronics working like new for years.

I own a Panasonic HTiB Surround sound system that includes a Blu-Ray DVD player, and I used it for two years without attempting to clean the lens. I could play DVDs just fine, but Blu-Ray playback had gotten to the point where it had become intolerable! I was to the point of considering a new system, or at least a supplemental Blu-Ray player added to my system to cure the problem. While searching bestbuy.com, I happened upon this product, and decided that it was worth the price to give it a try. I any EXTREMELY pleased that I did! After my first "Pass" with this cleaner, Blu-Ray DVDs that previously refused to load actually stared to run! After using this product once a week for about a month, I am not back to enjoying ALL of my Blu-Ray disc collection! I have heard that smoke will cause major problems with Blu Rays, and that left go too long it can become almost terminal for some Blu-Ray Players. Well, after over two years of being in a smoking household, this product took care of the problems and the neglect! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Product did as it was supposed to...easy to follow on screen directions and the Blu-Ray's run through without a problem. Also cleaned the lenses on my DVD player/recorder and that is now running as when it was new. Highly recommend this product if you are having a problem with your player...mine would freeze at certain spots on the disk and no longer do.

This product works really well. I had bought one for my old blu-ray player which unbeknownst to me was on its last life to begin with but when I bought a new one, I cleaned it after a few days and it couldn't be working better. In addition, I had bought a regular DVD cleaner from this same company for my DVD recorder, which had been spitting out discs left and right for months and now the DVD recorder plays every disc perfectly clearly. Thankfully I got to that before it was not salvageable anymore unlike my old blu-ray player. Highly recommended.

I purchased this product because we were getting distorted sound and picture from our Blu Ray player. It was only a little over a year old - just past the warranty time! We ran this cleaning disc through the machine two times and the Blu Ray player works as good as new. We thought the price was high on this product for what it is, but if you compare it to the cost of a new player, it's a good deal.

We initially bought it for our TV/DVD combo but also used it to clean the DVD player in the car. We couldn't get it to work but after using cleaner we were able to watch movies again.

It was more than I expected in checking all the video and surround sound. I still had difficulty with my player after running the program a couple of times. I might need a new player.
