    Bought this remote because the dog ate our other two DTV remotes. No setup involved to use with our current boxes. Easy to sync the TV back to that remote.

    The old remote was gradually losing its ability to function correctly. little did we know that they remotes lose the functionality the older they get. so purchasing a new one was quite a shock to us and how this one operated plus of some added features that we were not aware of that DIRECTV had made to them over the years since we had the others.
