Our dog chewed up our original and we bought this to replace it..it's awesome we haven't had any issues. It was easy to program to both TV and receiver

They make Directv remotes with all kinds of extras but they cost more than they are worth. This is the simple replacement for the remotes you get from Directv. It's easy to setup with directv receivers.

Need a new Direct TV remote control, this one is great. It automatically communicates to your HD receiver. Then just program in your TV and your back in business.

Remote needed to replace the original that after being dropped a few times wasn't working properly. Functions just like the one that came with the system initially.

What can be said about a replacement directv remote control....well it looks exactly like the one its replacing, it works exactly as expected, was fairly priced

This remote is an exact replacement of the remotes that are included with DirecTV receivers (before the Genie at least). Works just like new. Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is for the remote button layout.

I bought this because my last remote died after 6 years and because every other remote in the house is of this type. I really don't want to have to teach everyone else how to use a new remote. if you are looking for something to control your DirecTV box and some type of high-end surround sound system, you'd probably be better of using a learning remote geared to your system that can be programmed for the DTV box. You simply can't get "into the weeds" of the settings on the other systems using this device. If you want to watch TV and change channels and volume and press a single button to turn the DTV box and the TV on and off, then get this.

this is an exact replacement for the factory direct tv remote. it is easy to set up and program. actually works slightly better then the old factory remote. the buttons give positive feedback.

I love that you can find these available at Best Buy. Mine stopped working a few months back and it's such a great thing that I can find it at my local Best Buy! Works great

Works perfectly with my direct tv box. Synched itself which was really nice. Easier to use for my elderly grandfather than the one that came with the direct tv box.
