I had this unit since the end of May, and the brush roller stopped working in October. It now hardly picks up anything off the carpet at all. Unfortunately the only manufacturer support for the product is over 15 miles away. This makes me hesitant to purchase another Dirtdevil product.

Make sure your unit is turned off and unplugged and remove the nozzle by pressing the nozzle release button. Pull the nozzle in a downward motion and remove any debris clogged in the air path.
