Posted .Hi booksnbutter! If you are experiencing a lack of suction, we have some troubleshooting steps to get your vacuum like new. Please give the following steps a try: The long hose is designed to be removed completely. You can run a broomstick through the hose to check for clogs. The lower hose could also be checked for clogs. You can use a grabber tool or something similar and remove anything found here. The filter is washable with water. Once washed, allow to air dry for 24 hours. We recommend doing this every 4-6 full uses of the vacuum. Spend a little more and get a better one!

Make sure unit is turned off and unplugged. Remove the nozzle by pressing the nozzle release button and pulling the nozzle in a downward motion. Remove any debris clogged in the nozzle airpath. One of them has long hair and the other short hair. I ended up returning this vacuum. It did not pick up cat hair off my area rug like it should have. Its made for homes with pets. I even checked to make sure there wasn’t anything causing issues to stop it from doing so.

Also hair gets tangled in the brushhead and it's hard to clean. To pull out the filter your hands will get dirty because they made it in a way that you have to stuff your fingers in the filter to pull it out. Suction is okay for tile/vinyl/hardwood floors but not really for carpet/rugs. I definitely won't be buying again this vacuum mainly because how loud it is and because the hair gets all tangled.

We recommend checking to see if the filter or nozzle is clogged. Turn off the unit and disconnect the nozzle to remove the debris. While you have the filter removed rinse it with water until the water runs clear, allow dry time (24 hours). The vacuum worked well initially but after a couple months the brush rotation got slower and slower to where it now is barely functional. When the brush doesn't spin this unit barely picks up anything off the floor; you can roll right over things and see that it's not picking them up. So it is essentially useless after a couple of months. Was trying to save money since I have such a small space that needs to be vacuumed, but really just wasted $40 and now need to buy a new vacuum. I made the mistake of trusting the positive reviews posted by folks who had just bought this product. It does not stand the test of time.. Would not recommend.
