If it is empty, make sure that it has been installed correctly. If that doesn't reduce the dust, I would check and make sure that the hose has been installed correctly. You Get What You Pay For

As such, I didn't want to pay a mint for a 'temporary' unit, so I went with the lowest priced one I could find. Sadly, the suction on this is lacking.
