I would not recommend this vacuum to anyone. I will not buy a dirt devil product ever again. Had to throw it in the trash - waste of my money.

The construction of the vacuum is obviously plastic, so it feel somewhat flimsy. There are only 2 complaints I have about this vacuum, that is that the power cord is actually not that long, it says in the specs the length so be wary of that. My other complaint is that the hose holder is placed very intrusively so it gets in the way. If these 2 things don't bother you it's a great vacuum, it's bagless, and you can clean the filter.

First make sure your dirt cup is secured correctly, sometimes that keeps your vacuum from doing its job. Try rinsing out your filter with water and let it dry for 24 hours. Posted .Hi Choc! A clogged unit can indicate that it’s time for the filters and hose to be cleaned out on your Pro Power Bagless Upright. We want to help. We have a few suggestions that should help get your unit running like new. Please give the following steps a try: 1.) Rinse the foam filter from under the dirt cup and allow it to completely air dry before use. Ensure to push the filter all the way down when reinserting back in the machine. 2.) Tap off the exhaust filter over the trashcan then rinse with warm water. Allow the filter to completely air dry before use. 3.) Twist the dirt cup lid counterclockwise to remove the cyclonic filter assembly. Use the dusting tool to clean off the filter, do not rinse. 4.) Disconnect the hose from both ends of the unit and run a broom stick through to clear any debris. 5.) Check inlets behind the dirt cup and bottom nozzle for any obstructions and remove. Normal maintenance of the hose and filter will help to prevent debris build up. Hope this helps! –Karissa, Dirt Devil Customer Care

This will be my 3rd vacuum with kids & this vacuum company has always gotten the job done. Even with this vacuum being the largest model yet I have bought it is still really light & easy to clean after use. A must buy if your looking for a basic reliable vacuum.
