Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the smooth gameplay, Star Wars content, and the variety of characters in Disney Infinity: 3.0. Many appreciate the game's ease of use and impressive graphics, while some find the Toy Box feature particularly engaging. However, the cost of additional figures is a recurring concern for some buyers, as is the incompatibility with figures from previous versions. A few customers also mentioned concerns about platform compatibility changes.

It's pretty much like the first two versions.

My son loves it, but doesn't really play it all that much. It is more of an occasional thing. It is backwards compatible with older figures, but it is pretty much the exact same thing. I'm not sure what advances were made with 3.0 that weren't included in 2.0 (or that couldn't have been included in an upgrade). The portal device is the exact same thing as well. We now have two of those and only need one. So, other than the characters, there is no reason to upgrade. But ... if you have a child and he/she wants the newer characters, you'll have no choice if you want him/her to be able to play with them. It's fun, but doesn't really seem like much of an upgrade in my opinion. If you don't have any of these, I'd certainly recommend it. If you have an older one and don't play it all that much, then I'd seriously consider skipping it. This version is just all about the characters (Star Wars and Disney Inside/Out).

    Short on Content

3.0 continues the fun found in 2.0, but on release does not have enough content. Where are all of the expansion packs, it is a limited amount of Star Wars to explore, and no new Marvel kits to put the new figures in. Why by a Hulk Buster with no world other than the toy box to put him in? The content that exists is fun, but it feels like rushed it out to make the holiday deadline. I would not recommend this yet, until Disney adds more play sets.

Disney Infinity: 3.0 Edition Starter Pack - Nintendo Wii U. Great story. A little pricy to get all the figures.

This is basically the same game as part 1 and 2 with new characters. My two boys played it only a handful of times. Now it is collecting dusts.

This is nothing different from the other Disney Infinity games. Same gameplay now with Star Wars characters.

We had a heck of a time getting it started but have enjoyed the previous editions on the regular wii in the past. Maybe to advanced for this mom? ... Lol

This game is fun but if you don't plan on spending a lot of extra money on additional products, it can get a little boring rather quickly.

High quality toys, so so video game

We've received the toys from a relative so we decided to buy the starter pack. I thought the quality of figurines are good, much like Nintendo amiibo. The game itself is ok-ish, my kids play it like sandbox and hardly interested in the campaign. We got it for a discounted price matched, so why not.

Not worth the price for a mediocre, banal, hackneyed, and low quality figurines. They break easily too. The game itself is too short.
