I love this thing, the motion control is alot more intuitive than I would have thought. I wish I would've gotten the fly more kit with it, but the battery life is decent for the weight/speed of the craft

I LOVE this thing! So far, I've been out and about flying this and building up my FPV experience. THis is a great introduction to FPV drone flight!

Great drone I need to buy another one. One of the standout features of this drone is its camera quality. The high-resolution camera captures stunning aerial footage and crisp still images, allowing me to capture breathtaking moments from unique perspectives. Whether I'm exploring scenic landscapes or documenting special occasions, the drone's camera never fails to deliver exceptional results. Furthermore, I've been impressed by the drone's flight performance. It handles with precision and agility, making it a joy to pilot. The intuitive controls and various flight modes also make it accessible to both beginners and experienced flyers alike. Durability is another noteworthy aspect of this drone. Despite encountering some minor collisions and rough landings, the drone has remained resilient and undamaged, showcasing its robust build quality. Overall, I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase of the [insert drone model]. It has quickly become an indispensable tool for my aerial photography and videography endeavors. In fact, I'm so impressed that I'm seriously considering purchasing another one to expand my capabilities even further. If you're in the market for a top-notch drone, look no further than this one. I have to give this drone 4 stars simply because no one makes better drones than DJI. Excellent return-to-home, good build quality, and the video to the googles is fantastic. That doesn’t mean it’s without flaws. For one it’s LOUD. I know it’s a whoop, but it’s has to be twice as loud as my 5 inch FPV drone. If you crash it’s possible that the battery will eject and you won’t be able to locate the drone with the GPS. But even with those issues I’d certainly buy it again.

Have had all sorts of cheapie drones, all the way up to mavic 2 pro, mini 2, 3 and 4... and now the Avata. And have to say say this is an absolute blast! I really enjoy my other drones mainly for photography and some very limited video, but the Avata makes the entire video a shareable experience if you're bold enough to fly it a bit aggressively. That's the neat thing, the ducted propellers and ease of flight with the motion controller really do make you bold to try flying through gaps you would have never dared before. Once you're ready for the big leagues, get the FPV controller 2 and the world of freestyle opens up for you, but with the insanely useful feature of having a "panic stop" button where if you get yourself in a pickle, you press it and the Avata just stops cold and hovers in place. Something a traditional FPV drone can't do and just punishes you with a crash. Get extra batteries. Get the DJI insurance. Oh, and one other thing, if you use reading glasses at all, this Explorer combo is the one you want. Yes, the Pro-View sounds like it would be better with the adjustable diopters, but the wider field of view actually makes it worse to see the edges. I tried both and can wear the Integra headset with zero vision problems, especially along the edges. PLus, the added benefit of not needing a phone ttethered to the goggles on this one since it has built in GPS.

Very fast! Hard to start using but learned very fast. Like many other drones the batter life is short.

This is my second DJI drone, and it is far easier to fly than the other ones with the handheld controller. The video quality is simply amazing, and the flying experience is fairly simple with the motion 2 controller.  I find that the Integra headset is extremely comfortable to wear with the integrated battery in the strap. The weight balance is perfect on the head.  the drone is also very easy to fly for a beginner who has never flown any drone before.  if you’re sitting on the fence on this one, just go for it.

Fun to fly. FPV makes it even more exciting. Easy to learn and pretty cool you can share the FPV while you are flying.

Pretty good for getting into fpv. The motion controller makes flying super easy. But even with it crashing is still possible, I crashed mine a couple times now at high speed and this thing feels indestructible as nothing broke in either crash. Signal strength doesn’t seem to be as strong as other dji drones. I haven’t lost signal yet but I have had the goggles lag a little when I got too far away.

This is my first FPV style drone and I’ve owned over eight DJI camera drones. The Pros: it’s very fun to fly once you’ve figured out Motion 2 controller and the FPV RC2. Acro mode takes lots of practice and I recommend a huge open field on those first few practice flights. The camera is ok at best and the battery life is acceptable. Integra goggles are great. Cons: While using the motion controller , the top speed is just a little too slow. USB & SD card location hookup is an absolute disaster. Does not fly very well even under the lightest wind conditions . Acro mode flight simulator app is not that great. DJI needs to apply some sort of mode between Acro & sport to make the transition process to Acro a little more painless. Acro mode is a different animal and I believe many Avata owners struggle with the learning curve. Final thoughts : it’s a fun little fpv drone but it’s a little flawed I think. I would pay the extra cash and get the Avata 2 instead.

Excellent drone, definitely a must for first time flyers. I love how it handles and is almost automatic with the fly stick instead of the controller. Battery doesn’t last that long so you need to buy more. But it is worthwhile to get it.

This is my second Dji drone and it does exactly what I wanted it to. I will upgrade in a few years! One downfall is you can auto-transfer pictures. With my other drone (also dji) you can transfer directly from the drone to my phone.

So far I have loved this drone!! I've flown drones for a couple of years now, and I'm finally getting into FPV. This thing is great. It's small, tough, and flies well. I do recommend getting more batteries, one is not enough!

Its a great dron for beginners, easy to use, and control. It is very cool when flying while using the goggles you can see and deel like you are the one flying. I highly recommend to buy thia brand.

The drone is extremely fun. It's so much fun that it's easy to forget to take pictures and videos. The motion controller lets you get the feel for what FPV flying is all about. However, unlike true FPV drones that don't take the best cinematic shots and videos, the Avata allows you to take advantage of it's great camera and built-in stability software to get superb pictures and smooth video. Head tracking makes what you shoot look very professsional. You won't be disappointed choosing one of these combos.

Really easy to fly. Fun to use. Interface is pretty easy to figure out. Good for a starter FPV type drone.
