It is so neassary I have a backup battery. Just as things are starting to get fun you need to replace your battery. And I got 2. I love Best Buy because the vendor had a sweet deal and they matched it!

This battery fits only the DJI Phantom 4. The battery works as expected out of the box. It is nice to have a spare or two while out flying.

I bought 2 of these because 1 isn't enough. If you want to enjoy flying please buy extra batteries. Buy them with your phantom and save $160

If you bought a Phantom 4 then you need extra batteries. I get about 22 minutes from 100% to around 20%.. if I stretch it to 0% I get about 26 minutes of flight time. I have 4 batteries in total. I'd recommend at least purchasing 2 additional. My Phantom 4 review here on Best Buy; I have owned several different drones or UMA devices, this one did cost a bit more but was totally worth the purchase price. The tap-to-fly feature works really well, the active track mode is decently good, and the hovering and steadying of the camera on the gimbal is second to none in my opinion. When shooting video the camera takes nice smooth video, sometimes it suffers from rolling shutter, but adding an ND filter greatly reduces the issue. Sport mode is insane, a bit tougher to control but it goes a whole lot faster, about 45-50 mph I believe. A few things I'd consider purchasing with this; batteries, sd cards, remote controller visor for your tablet or smart-phone, carrying bag, and some extra propellers. Also, ND filters. If you fly drones, extra batteries are a must. Don't risk buying fraudulent, imitation batteries off Amazon (there's a bunch out there). BestBuy is the best place to grab extra batteries for cheap (they always have sales). Remeber these batteries work in all the P4 models. From the original P4, the advanced, pro, and the new obsedian.

Had this drone for over a month now and have over 46 hours of crash-free, seemingly limitless fun flight time. All I can say is, buy as many extra batteries as you can afford, don't buy extra props(because you won't need them), and get a smart tablet. I messed up and bought extra batteries from Best Buy and then only two days later they were highly discounted direct from dji. That said....This product is everything promised and more. It's extremely stable, handles high-winds easily, and makes it easy for anyone to pilot while capturing jaw-dropping footage.

You can’t go wrong with these batts. They hold their charge and have a programmable discharge to save battery life.

It get's ALMOST the maximum amount of flight time as it says. Charges in just over an hour. I have 3 batteries now and will most likely get a couple more, as I went through all 3 while shooting a wedding ceremony. They were running super behind, had me waste an entire battery with the party just lined up. Amazing photos though!

Again, I would give it 6 stars if I could! The phantom 4's battery are a huge improvement over the phantom 3. Granted they are a little heavier, but the extended flight time and the ease of which you can put them in and out of the drone makes up for it! Great battery for a great drone!

Phantom 4 comes with a battery but flight time is 25 minutes aproximetly. That's why an extra battery is necessary, the good thing is that on the Phantom 4 case has an extra slot for the battery. If you really want to enjoy your drone consider this battery.

Phantom 4 drone battery lasted 24 minutes in flight till landing, & still had a little power to spare! Great Battery for the price.

These batteries are a fantastic addition to the Phantom 4. Fly time is about 20 minutes, charge time is approx. 60 mins. They have an auto discharge feature that helps with longer life of the batteries too.

Got this extra battery with my new drone as a bundle. Sure glad we got it. Works well and allows more flights. A definite must have item for your new drone. Pricey but well worth it to have an extra resource!

The flight time on the P4 is great, but I'd like to get more time to record and fly. Having a second battery really helps for these situations. Performs as well as the included battery.

There isnt much to say about a battery other then it works or it doesn't. I just happened to get a battery that works it holds charges, actually takes a charge and works as expected.

The Battery for the DJI Phantom 4 works perfectly in the DJI Phantom 4 Drone! It's a little shorter in length compared to that in the DJI Phantom 2 & 3 but is wider/broader than the other two. It definitely packs a punch in terms of energy storage and is reliable in terms of recharging and providing constant voltage and power for consistent flight times. Overall an A+++! Get this battery and not some knock off brand on the market! It's better going with Original Factory Products from DJI especially when you're flying a drone that's worth $1,000! Don't skimp out on your battery and make sure that it's a Phantom 4 Battery made by DJI!! Happy Flying!!

This battery is great! Lasts the time it says and also includes a fast charge time, easy battery connection. Also easy to take in and out of phantom. Would recommend to a friend!

I get 2 of this for my phantom 4 and i'am very satisfied, the charge time its efficent and the duration of the battery power its the indicated, about 25 effective minutes.
