I am extremely happy with this purchase! The combo pack comes with all that you need to fulfill your needs. This drone is compact and can easily be taken anywhere without having the unwanted attention ! I was nervous at first to try and set this up, but after a few battery charges, and a quick set up process, I was ready to go! Flying the drone wasnt that hard and I got the hang of it quickly! Took beautiful photos, and while I've only flown it for a couple of times. I am most impress with how easily it was to set up and get flying. This is a great first drone, and I am glad I made the purchase to start a new skillset! The drone is built sturdy! And thankfully turn combo pack comes with a bag to put everything in. Well, mostly, I did have to leave the extra cords and expanded charging port in the box. An inch or two wider and this bag would have been great! Overall, the drone works well, you just gotta be able to handle it. I'm still expressing new things every day! Fly responsibly, and follow the rules of the sky!

Unlike any drone I’ve ever had. After you read Instructions, Easy to set up. Easy to use. Built in safety features. Quality images and video. DJI just released a free firmware update that made this great drone even better. Review some YouTube videos to see how great this drone really is, especially if you’re similar to me and coming up from toy drones.

I'm in awe at how much technology DJI packed into this thing. Flight is super stable, pictures and videos are amazing and the anti collision works like a charm. I love the return to home feature option if you lose signal. It gives me a sense of security knowing I won't lose my $700 drone. With that said, the drone to remote connect is great.

I bought this for my husband, and the bundle was cheaper than the drone by itself. We are SO HAPPY with this toy. Great pictures and video. The plan was to take it with us on all our Oklahoma Day Trips and so far so good! Plus State Farm insures it!

PRO’S 48MP photos that are incredibly sharp and vivid 4K video (that is 8,000 x 4,000 pixels!) at 60 FPS Great battery life per battery (1.5 hours of fly time when using 3) Improved hand controller for smoother gimbal rotations Great price, especially the “Fly More” Bundle CON’S There is already a new version out which can be obnoxious I have had nothing but good things to say about this drone. In fact it has led me to take it places and push it harder than any other drone to date. It’s not so expensive I won’t fly it out of sight but not cheap to where it lacks function. This drone lets you capture ravishingly sharp and detailed aerial photographs. It’s also suitably excellent for shooting 4K video at speeds up to 60 frames per second. With lots of autonomous functions and clever in-flight features take this drone's photography and video to the next level without needing to be an experienced pilot. Best wishes and hope this helps someone ~~ Nathaniel ~~

I have been buying DJI drones since Mavic Pro, Pro Platinum, Pro 2, the first air and mini. This one by far is a great combination of compact with its smaller form factor and improved battery life. The fly more is definitely worth the value with the additional batter, charging, hub, propellers and the bag.

After many years of wanting a drone, I finally had enough extra money to purchase one. I did a ton of research beforehand and came to the conclusion that this would be the best one to start with and I was correct. This drone is amazing. For those just beginning to fly, this drone is perfect in every way. It was so easy learning to fly and takes the best pictures/videos I have ever seen. I plan to get my Part 107 and use it for Real Estate Photography. Again, I cannot recommend this drone enough to those of you looking for your first drone or even seasoned pilots. Either way, you will not be disappointed.

Great drone for the price. Got the flymore combo for a very reasonable price. for a beginner drone flyer I would say it is very very cool. flight time is at around 25-28 mins very close to what is rated to be 34mins fly time.

I started flying drones about 5 years ago and all but one were DJI drones. Since then I’ve had the Phantom 3 and 4 Pro series, Inspire 1, Mavic Pro/Pro 2 and Air, Spark and even the Tello. I’m a fan of DJI products because of their innovations. With this second generation of the Mavic Air, innovations don’t come short and the feature set that they included is a huge upgrade from the first Mavic Air. The Mavic Air 2 uses the DJI Fly app instead of the Go 4 app that the more professional DJI drones use. The Fly app is simpler to use and most likely geared for first time fliers and novice photographers. The Fly app is available on iOS and Android. It has very limited camera settings but hopefully will get better with future updates. The user interface is clean but I thought it was a tiny bit disorganized but then again, maybe it’s just that I am used to the Go 4 app. The app can automatically create content from what you capture that you can quickly and easily share. Pretty good if i do say so myself being that I don’t have professional editing skills. Size and looks This second generation is a lot bigger and doesn’t look anything like the original Mavic Air. I loved the way the original was designed and wished that new Mavics would follow the same design. Instead, they modeled this Air 2 like the original Mavic Pro design. It is a lot bigger than the original; it is wider, taller, longer and heavier. It has a USB-C port on the left and I know it is used for data but couldn’t find any documentation if it can be used for charging too. The microSD card slot is on the right and it can take cards up to 128GB. To get to it, you have to unfold the right rear arm. A minor inconvenience. It has two forward sensors, two rear sensors and two downward sensors plus the vision positioning sensors. They included an LED light like the Mavic 2 Pro on the bottom to help with downward sensing in low light and it makes the aircraft more visible while in flight. I use this to help me locate the drone. The original Mavic Air had a loud high pitch whining sound but this one uses silent propellers which produces a much quieter lower pitch whine. The remote controller has also changed. It closely resembles the Smart Controller and feels more comfortable than the old one. It uses Occusync 2.0 for a transmission range of up to 6.2miles (10km) with 1080p FHD video. The device holder is on the top now instead of the bottom and it can hold large phones. However, I couldn’t find a way to place my iPhone 11 Pro Max so that the holder doesn’t push any of the buttons. There are cutouts for the buttons on the rubber holders but the buttons still get pushed with my iPhone case on. I did find a suitable solution (see pictures) by using a tablet holder that I used for the older Mavic remotes. This actually lets me tilt the phone for better viewing angles and solves the button issue at the same time. This time around, DJI didn’t include any customizable buttons and there is also no pause button. I would have liked to see a way to attach a lanyard to the remote. Like the Mavic 2 remote, the sticks are removable and they have a storage space at the bottom of the remote. ** DJI Smart Controller will soon be compatible with the Mavic Air 2 with anticipated firmware update ** Flight By the way, before you go out to buy this drone or any DJI drone, I would suggest going to DJI’s Fly Safe web site to see if the area where you intend to use this is ok to fly. If you’re 5 miles from an airport or close to state parks, you’re not going to be able to fly unless you apply for clearance. I live about 10 miles from an international airport with flight paths flying right over my neighborhood and also just a few miles from a commuter airport. I am able to fly because my neighborhood is not in a restricted zone but just an authorization zone. It’s simple to request for an authorization to fly from the Fly Safe site and it’s good for three days. The Mavic Air 2 is the first DJI consumer drone to use DJI Air Sense that uses the ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast) technology. What this does is it notifies you via voice and an onscreen message if there are manned aircraft nearby so you can maneuver away from them. Flight safety is the main reason why I buy DJI. They put innovations in to help you fly with confidence so that you can concentrate on capturing that perfect shot. The Air 2 has forward, backward and downward sensors for 3D obstacle avoidance and along with their new APAS 3.0 (Advanced Pilot Assistance System), you can have that peace of mind. With APAS enabled (disabled by default), the Air 2 will go around or over and under objects so it doesn’t have to stop. This really helps out with tracking a subject and it is amazing. The original Mavic Air used extended WiFi and range was not great. The Air 2 uses Occusync 2.0 with a transmission range of up to 6.21 miles (10km). For me, that just gives me peace of mind that I will not lose communication with this drone. I don’t normally fly beyond my sight but I can confidently go further with Occusync on this Mavic Air 2. The Air 2 is very stable, easy to fly and can withstand winds of up to 23mph but gusts are the real threat. Flying DJI drones has always been easy and with the technology they put in, capturing content is easy too. They also put Intelligent Flight modes like Hyperlapse in 8K, FocusTrack and QuickShots. Tracking subjects have been improved significantly and in my opinion, even better than the Mavic 2 Pro. In my testing, although it tracked the subject well and almost never lost track, the subject was not always centered in the frame. It also came inches right above a sign pole but maybe it knew exactly what it was doing. There’s two ways of tracking, trace and parallel. Trace tracks the subject from the front or the back and safely does it using the front and rear sensors for avoiding obstacles. In parallel tracking, the drone travels sideways and since it doesn’t have side sensors, I wouldn’t suggest doing this in areas where there are obstacles in the path. FocusTrack includes: - Spotlight 2.0 - POI 3.0 - ActiveTrack 3.0 QuickShots include: - Circle: Makes a circle around a subject - Helix: A more complex circle - Boomerang: Drone path like a thrown boomerang - Asteroid: Makes a small planet out of your surroundings - Dronie: Drone flies up and away from subject - Rocket: Like Dronie but flies straight upwards One thing that amazed me with the original Mavic Air was the Smart Gesture which gave you the ability to control the drone with hand gestures. Well, they’ve done away with that I’m afraid. Camera The Air 2 uses a 1/2 inch image sensor which is an upgrade to the original Mavic Air’s 1/2.3” sensor. It can capture up to 48MP images and 4K 60fps videos up to 120MB/s bitrate. It has a fixed f/2.8 aperture and an 84 degree field of view. It uses MP4/MOV (H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, H.265/HEVC) video format and it supports JPEG/DNG (RAW) for photos. The 3-axis stabilized gimbal makes capturing that perfect moment a breeze and in focus. Do NOT forget to remove the gimbal protector before powering up the drone. With SmartPhoto, images are captured by recognizing what kind of scene you are taking and adjusts camera parameters automatically. I took a few pictures with low light background and bright foreground and it came out really nice. It takes away the guess work and it’s great for my novice photography skills. It also takes 12MP burst or 3/5 bracketed photos. You can save your content on a micro SD card (not included) or the 8GB internal memory. That internal memory can save the day when you forget to bring the SD card. Batteries The Fly More combo comes with 3 batteries. It has 3500mAh and it is rated for up to 34mins of flight (no wind). I never fly with less than 25% left on my battery and just as long as I can get about 23-25 minutes in the air, I am good. This Mavic Air 2 does just that with ease. They also changed the locking clips from plastic to metal. The remote controller has a 5200mAh battery. I have used about 8 batteries on the drone and the remote is still showing four battery indicator lights. You can also set it in the app to charge your phone while it is connected. It is disabled by default. This Mavic Air with Fly More combo comes with every thing you need to get going. Three batteries, ND filters (16/64/256), six pairs of props, charging hub, power bank adapter and a nice good sized bag. The bag is a lot nicer than the one that comes with the Mavic 2 Pro Fly More. Who is this Mavic Air 2 for? Any one who is not exactly the best pilot and/or photographer. Anyone who wants to fly with confidence and capture content that were almost impossible otherwise. Anyone that just wants to have fun and at the same time, create awesome, simple, creative and professional looking content that they can share. It’s portable enough for the adventurist too.
