DJI Mic Mini - not the complete package
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent product but frustrating it does not have a lightning connection for iPhones - an additional piece that you need to buy separately.

Mini Mic - Maximum Value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The DJI Mic Mini is the follow up to their DJI Mic 2, and also offers great sound recording in a more portable package. The Mic Mini does away with internal backup recording, making it smaller (about half the size) and lighter. That means the Mic Mini is less noticeable and less likely to bunch up your clothing when worn. Besides excellent recording, this kit has a lot of great features: • Two levels of noise reduction • This kit includes - 2 transmitters with wind screens - 1 receiver - Charging case - Soft case • 2 hours to charge the case which will charge the transmitters and receivers about 3.6 times • Microphone can be clipped or magnetically attached The receiver • The receiver has basic buttons and requires the DJI Mimo app for real configuration. • The receiver indicates if and how many receivers it’s connected to. • It also has a gain for how loud it should transmit the sound to your camera. • Cold shoe mount to attach to cameras • Headphone jack so you can monitor the audio • USB C port that can be plugged into a computer to use as audio to the computer • Slot to attach one of the adapters to plug into your phone’s USB C or Lightning port. Optionally, you can pair the transmitter to your phone via Bluetooth, but then you can’t take full advantage of all the functions in the Mimo app like recording a safety track or adjusting the noice cancelling strength. • The more expensive DJI Mic 2 receiver, on the other hand, has more functionality and a screen so that you don’t need to use the app. Pairing The transmitters and receiver are already paired. But if you need to pair them again, just press and hold the pairing button on each device simultaneously and they will automatically pair. Alternatively, put the transmitters and receiver in the case, close the case, and they will be paired. Very simple. You can also pair the transmitters directly to some DJI cameras without going through the receiver. Very handy if you have those cameras. Recording There are three recording modes - all are omnidirectional • Mono • Mono with safety track. This will record one channel 6 db less than the other. This is useful when you’re volume fluctuates a lot, or if you’re in a noisy area. It ensures you don’t clip. Note that the only way to turn on or off the safety track is via the Mimo app. • Stereo. Requires using two transmitters, and each will record a different track. That way, if, for example, you’re recording two people, you can adjust their levels independently as needed. Because the receiver can be plugged into a computer as an audio source, it’s useful for Zoom calls without needing a hardwired desktop mic. But, there’s no hard mute button on the mic itself, which many desktop mics have. So you probably don’t want to accidentally walk away from your Zoom meeting while wearing a hot mic, in case you were planning to do other activities while on the call. The little things that mean a lot • The entire kit, including the wind screens, is compact enough to fit into the charging case. You don’t need a second case for any accessories. Plus, once the devices are in the case, plugging it in for 5 minutes gives an hour of battery life, in case you’re running low on the 10+ hours of recording time. • When the receiver is plugged into your phone (instead of having the transmitter connect via Bluetooth) you can have the Mic turn on/off when your phone’s camera app is turned on/off. This saves a lot of battery life and avoids the hassle of manually turning on the mic if it’s idled too long and turned off automatically. • The adapter for plugging the receiver into your phone has a connector that’s long enough to properly attach through a phone case. • When paired to a DJI camera like the OSMO Action series, the transmitter’s connect button also doubles as a start/stop recording button. • Auto leveler is built in preventing audio from clipping or being too soft. Annoyances • The receiver adapter for plugging into a phone fits into a covered slot on the receiver itself. But when you remove the small cover, there’s nowhere to store it. You’re better off keeping the slot uncovered so you don’t lose the cover. • Transmission works up to 400 meters with a clear line of sight. That means the transmitter has to be facing towards the receiver. If you’re wearing it on your shirt, you should be facing the receiver, not facing the opposite direction. • Unlike the DJI Mic 2, there is no TRS jack on the Mini transmitter. That means you can’t plug a more discreet lavalier mic into it. • Though you need to connect via the receiver to set the strength of the noise canceling on the transmitter, you can only update the firmware on the transmitter if it’s connected via Bluetooth. That just seems odd. All in all, this is an excellent wireless mic kit. It sounds great and offers plenty of features for general recording.

The DJI Mic Mini is compact, budget-friendly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The DJI Mic Mini is a compact, budget-friendly wireless mic kit with two transmitters, one receiver, and a charging case. It’s ultra-light (10 g per transmitter), easy to use (auto-pairing), and works with smartphones and cameras via USB-C, Lightning (adapter sold separately), or 3.5 mm. Pros: Excellent value (~$169) with clear audio quality. Long battery life: ~11.5 h per TX, ~10 h RX, 48 h with case. Very portable and discreet for on-the-go creators. Simple noise-reduction options. Cons: No onboard recording or 32-bit float backup. No built-in display or level monitoring on receiver. Small parts can be fiddly to handle. Signal may drop with obstacles. Verdict: Perfect for beginners or casual content creators wanting great audio in a tiny package, but pros who need redundancy and advanced control may prefer the DJI Mic 2.

Doesn't work with lightning iphones
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.May be a great mic, I don't know, it isn't compatible with my iPhone 14 unless a separate lightning adapter is purchased, but the adapter is out of stock and unavailable indefinitely. I'm disappointed, because the product infor indicates the mic is compatible, no mention that an additional purchase of an unobtainable item is required. I bought a third party adapter, but it won't work with the mic's receiver.

Love the better audio for my family videos!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not new to DJI products, as I already own a DJI drone, but I am new to their microphones. After using the DJI Mic Mini with my iPhone, I can happily say that the voice quality in my family videos is now way better compared to when I was just using the iPhone's built-in microphone. This difference is especially noticeable in windy conditions. While I am not an official YouTube vlogger, I do enjoy making short videos of family vacations, hikes, camping trips, and similar activities. Typically, I use my iPhone to record these moments and just go with the built-in audio. Other microphones I’ve tried in the past were either too large or too distracting. For instance, I’ve used a shotgun-style microphone before, but the audio quality wasn’t that much better than the iPhone’s because it didn’t help bring the microphone closer to me when I was recording in selfie mode. Now to what I like the most about this DJI microphone. Personally, what I like most about the DJI Mic Mini is its size and portability. When hiking or camping, I prefer not to carry too much gear, and this microphone is the perfect size to easily toss into my drone bag. Similarly, the receiver is small and of good quality that when attached to my iPhone it looks good. Further, the microphones are also tiny, and I like that I can clip them anywhere on my clothes. Overall, I highly recommend the DJI Mic Mini microphone system. If you’re a serious vlogger, it’s an obvious yes. But even if you’re like me that occasionally records family vacations or personal moments, you can now get some great quality sound for your videos while speaking to your iPhone

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well I will start by saying that I will do an update when I receive the product but I am already very disappointed I was told that I would receive it on the 29th I had ordered the microphone a few days ago and now I get an email telling the that the item will be delayed another week I ordered it because it's specifically said it would ship and be here by the appropriate date so it's they're already off on the wrong foot I will update on the product when I receive it I am a person that's very fair so that's why I'm leaving a review on the purchase and I will leave a review on the performance when it arrives

48 Hrs Of Pwr. This Is A Must-have
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't even CAP. This DJI MIC Mini is possibly the best thing that has happened to my content creation, since the smartphone. It comes with a charging case , two mini mics, four windscreens, 3.5mm tp 3.5mm cable, and charging cable, wireless transmitter and charging dock that allow for up to 48 hours of power. I use the DJI Action 4 and even though, it does pretty well with wind resistance, this Mini mic allows me to get crisp sound in my videos even when I'm not close to my camera. There's mono and stereo settings to allow sounds to come frm eithe ear piece, while listing back, or get that full emersive suround sound in your whole head-space. It also comes with a convenient leather carrying zipper pouch with pockets with-in pockets to store your accessories safely to avoid scratching your gear. Using the included type C adapter you can connect the transmitter to your phone( I'm pretty sure that there's a lightening attachment available on thier website.) But buy simply plugging in the transmitter, you now have free reign to walk pretty far away from your phone and still be heard as if you were right in front of your phone. This is quite affordable and pretty much a must have for DJI Action Cam owners.

Must buy for someone looking for a wireless mic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been waiting for these to come out since i heard about them possibly being released. I wanted to get a wireless Mic system and was thinking about the original DJI Mic 2 but i'm glad DJI decided on a mini system. the sound on these are amazing. i love how compact they are and they have amazing battery life especially with the charger that comes with it. i love how DJI included a carrying pouch to keep them all in also. they are small in size, but definitely get the job done. I used mine first during a regular live stream and people were saying how great the sound was and then i tried out the new DJI connection to the Osmo Pocket and it was a seamless connection. they are easy to connect to any device you have also
