The best purchase I ever made. I was looking for an entry level drone and this exceeded my expectations. I haven’t stop flying yet and it’s been almost a month. It’s small but powerful and I know I’ll be upgrading to a bigger drone and passing this to my son.

Good drone with very nice video. Smooth shots even in somewhat windy conditions. Auto shots are great but no obstacle detection, so you have to use them in wide open area. Basically, it's a great pocket sized (coat pocket) selfie drone.
Very durable with protected props which surely effects efficiency, but it's made to be hand launched and recovered so it's the trade off you make with this one. Crashed it many times and no damage. Bought spare props but never needed to change one yet.
Does not come with controller but you can control it with the DJI Fly app from your phone. It connects with wifi which is convenient but is very limited in range. If you fly it out of range and cannot reconnect, it will just sit there and hover until the battery dies then land automatically, where ever that is. No "return to home" built in.
Controller costs as much as the drone so buying drone alone is only the start of your new purchasing journey. Single battery is not enough so recommend buying the Fly More package when you get the drone. Makes is so much more fun.

The DJI Neo is a fantastic little drone! Its small size and light weight makes it easy to transport without taking up a lot of space in luggage or a backpack. The battery lasts 15 to 20 minutes, which is pretty good for a 135g drone. I purchased extra batteries to ensure enough flight time, but I haven’t needed them so far. I use the Neo as a selfie drone, and the quick modes make it convenient to get a quick video whenever I want one. I use the DJI app to change some settings and have flown the drone manually. Manual control through the app is not as good as using a DJI controller, but it’s still fun.
The image quality is great for a $200 drone. I like the 4K and 1080p options. I get clear images, and the noise canceling feature of the drone blades makes voiceovers so easy to make a video. It’s like having your own camera crew.
I highly recommend the DJI Neo! It’s a great value for the price!

We love this camera drone!. It is so much fun at family time and friend get-togethers. The preprogrammed flight modes are fun and easy to use. Plus, you can fly it by remote control. We are a drone pilot family and this DJI drone is quality, takes great photos and video and it is simple to use.

Conclusion
The DJI Neo is a fantastic little drone that offers a lot of value for the price. It's perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike, providing a fun and easy way to capture stunning aerial footage. While it may not be as feature-rich as some of DJI's larger drones, it excels in portability and ease of use. If you're looking for a compact and capable drone that won't break the bank, the Neo is definitely worth considering.

Does what it claims - easy to fly, automated modes work great except the out front mode which has an easy learning curve, video is good considering its size and cost. Not able to add storage card but this is was necessary to keep down the size and cost. Not my favorite of my three DJI drones but definitely has its place as a fun and easy to use drone that can be up and flying in a hurry without a controller. Flying with the phone app (iPhone for me) adds the function of noise cancellation when adding audio while using the phone’s microphone - this works well. I would say this would be a very good first time DJI drone for someone new to drones or DJI, it’s rugged and has several options for controlling it.

Its small but capable, used it in our vacation in the Philippines and i was able to get nice drone videos of our farm and my hometown. Only low side is the short flight time , understandable due to its small size.

The DJI Neo is a lightweight and portable drone perfect for beginners and casual users. It records 4K video at 30fps and takes 12MP photos. The drone features easy-to-use modes like follow, hover, orbit, and zoom, along with voice control. A recent update added vertical video and faster subject tracking at up to 20 mph. It has an 18-minute flight time per charge and a durable, flexible frame, though it lacks obstacle avoidance. Priced at $199, it’s an affordable option for personal photography and social media content creation.

This is my second drone, and I love it. If I want to just make a quick fun flight, I grab this over my much larger Autel. It's quick and easy to get in the air. It can fly autonomously, using your phone (via WiFi) as a controller, or you can buy a DJI controller, which I did. The prop guards are a nice feature to have, and it's so light that crashing it does no damage. App stores don't have the app, so you'll have to figure out how to manually install the app, but it's pretty easy. This drone gets a lot more use than my big fancy drone.

I have been trying to learn to fly drones for a few years. This is my latest and most successful attempt. I chose it because of good reviews and because I like the protected blades. Since I'm not very skilled at flying, it gives me peace of mind. So far I have crashed more times than I care to admit and it keeps on flying. I even hit the camera once and knocked it out of its hinge. I couldn't fix it so I thought that was that. Well, on the next crash, I knocked it back into place and now it works again. I have used it to successfully inspect the roof of a one story apartment and realized how much harder I was making it on myself trying to learn to fly it indoors. Very satisfied.

I am new to this drone thing, and I am loving this drone. I did my "TRUST" certificate with the FAA. Easy one hour online class. It teaches you some ground rules ( dont go above 400 ft, you are responsible for not doing anything stupid, dont fly over crowds, etc.... the good stuff) for us civilian recreational flyers. DJI and Best Buy will love me saying this... buy a mini 4 pro drone too if your looking to get better automated shots and photos. Use the neo to learn how to fly manually around the house. The Mini has collision sensor that work great to avoid running into the walls. Aka no / little indoor manual flight training :( . unless you turn them off, and run into a wall, and have to replace $10 in blades every time. Or just get the neo with its training blade protection. It is loud though, and lots of fpv fun. Get both, with at least 2 batteries each. Both drones will run off of the rc2 controller. Get good/ fast 256mb mem card for mini, And one for the rc2 controller. They have it where you can do a fast pic download from the drone to the controller (incase the drone gets stuck in a tree). Then you will have photos on drone, and the controller. I will start saving to get the kids a neo as well, so they can start learning to fly as well.

I needed a portable, budget-friendly, quality-made drone. DJI answered my wish. It ticked all the boxes, fulfilled my wish, and went above and beyond with its capability in its price range. I love the AI features and the ability to take selfie shots without a remote control. Adding the portable remote makes it perfect for all types of usage.

The DJI Neo is a lightweight, easy-to-fly drone that’s clearly designed for beginners or casual flyers. Setup is quick, and the controls feel very intuitive, even if you’re new to drones. Flight is stable, and the camera delivers crisp, smooth video for its size. Battery life is decent, though not very long, so having spares helps. What really stands out is how approachable it feels—safe, fun, and perfect for quick flights without worrying about complicated settings.

The good: The Neo offers good value with 4K video recording at 30fps, 12MP stills, and built-in stabilization technologies like RockSteady and HorizonBalancing, ensuring smooth footage for social media content the bad: The flight time is capped at around 18 minutes, which may not suffice for extended sessions
