Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Osmo Action Camera's video quality, ease of use, and stabilization. Many also appreciate the front screen and its compact size, along with the waterproof capabilities and competitive price. However, some users noted limitations with the zoom functionality and occasional connectivity issues with the app. A few also mentioned the camera's tendency to overheat in certain conditions and its less-than-ideal low-light performance.

This Might Be The Best vLogging Camera

The OSMO Action has gotten better with each update and I finally bought one and I am loving it for vLogging. I do wish that the lens was a little wider when shooting with the stabilization and Dewarp turned on. So far the battery life is really good a bit better than my GoPro Hero 8 Black. The front facing screen has no lag like it did when the camera first released.

Ive tried several cheaper 4k options, including Akaso, Apeman and Campark. I have a GoPro 7 as well. The Osmo Action is one of the best action cameras on the market. In my opinion, the picture and sound quality out rank the go pro. My only gripe is the app. I dont think anyone is having fun using this app. I cannot get it to stay connected to my phone and I've tried both Android and iPhone. Also tried iPad. No worky..... in the camera settings you can clear the network cache and it will stay connected a bit longer, however, who wants to do that everytime you need the app? If you dont care about the app then this is the best action camera in its price range. Even over GoPro

Very user friendly. Great camera while riding a motorcycle. Excellent picture and very high quality on videos. Rocksteady is awesome very little vibration while in use on a motorcycle. Highly recommended for everyone to use. GoPro meet it’s match.

Great camera !!!! The purpose was to install it on the motorcycle to get some real action movies and so far it's been a pretty good experience, the 'Rocksteady Mode' works great, the sound capture is good and all the other features are cool. Now, the most important thing is that it works flawlessly, just turn it on and get it going in a heartbeat, I can see the blinking red light letting me know that the video capturing is in progress, also able to access the various options from the screen is pretty easy too. Coming from a GoPro Hero 7 where the screen went dark within 5 months unable to see if it was working or not ! Very happy with the Osmo Cam great product and great price, thank you.

The front-facing screen makes a world of difference. The image quality is very good. The stabilization is very good. No complaints so far. Even the still, though over sharpened, are useable.

I combined the OSMO Action Camera and Cynova audio adapter with the Forevercam cage, Ulanzi Colds hoe adapter, Ulanzi light Cube and either the Rode VideoMicro or Saramonic Blink 500 Camera performs performs well with good light...a little weaker in very low light. Recently purchased this OA and the first one crapped out on me right out of the box. Exchange was working perfect. Stability is awesome, multi function for action or non action. Feels sturdy in the hand, good overall battery life.

Easy to use, more intuitive than Gopro & quicker to get through the menu. DJI have always been solid with professional production gear so super please they came out with the Osmo Action. $50 cheaper than the Hero 7 Black. Big Thumbs up!

    DJI Action Camera 4K issues

There are a few issues with this DJI Osmo Camera, please see some of the issues that I was able to unfold: 1. This camera freezes when the temperature gets elevated. This only happen if you are recording videos in 4K (It seems that the hardware would not handle 4K properly); 2. This camera do not provide you with the ability to zoom in or zoom out. It’s a fixed lenses camera (no fun); 3. This camera will start recording on its own if you mount this device into a tripod; 4. The voice recognition doesn’t work constantly, only every so often; there is no consistency; 5. The picture quality is super bad on low light situation. I try to adjust the iso, shutter speed and the aperture, but I was not able to get any consistent quality picture using the DJI Osmo Action Camera; 6. The WiFi settings is a nightmare some times you get connect and sometimes the WiFi decided to disconnect by itself out of the blue moon; 7. Issues with the transferring rate to move the content from your camera into your computer using the Wi-Fi, lack time to access your footages. I tried to overlook these seven issues and keep this device but It was very hard for me to embrace these current issues as I listed above. Please don’t get me wrong DJI makes good products and awesome drones and other video camera devices, but the DJI Osmo Action Camera was not the perfect product for me. I think this device need some special tweaks and/or maybe some firmware updates. Maybe the second version of this product, we would see some improvements for the DJI Osmo Action Camera, we will see how this will work out.

Use them (4) All day every day to film our Construction projects. Don't spend the $450 for the gopro 9. You can get two of these plus a memory card. You will not regret this purchase. This really is no brainer. Little plug check us out on you tube All Access Construction.. Lol

This is not your grandpa's Gopro. I bought this in place of the Gopro Hero 8 Black, and boy was that Gopro a disappointment. Other action camera's are making improvements, and Gopro is stuck on slow motion, and stabilization. My positives with the Osmo Action: 1. Great battery life. 2. A freak'n removable, and filter replaceable lens. 3. Simple stupid menu's. 4. A front facing display (a novel concept that only an innovator would implement). Imagine being able to properly frame your shot every time? Maybe team B should call themselves GoSemiPro? Imagine getting a forward facing display without having to pay a $79.99 premium when and if they are ever released? 5. Function buttons that function. 6. Every battery swap insures a watertight seal. 7. They did not mix the battery and MicroSD slot under one door. 8. Almost instant on. Literally instant on if you want to take a picture of start a video by telling your phone, or hitting the record button. 9. Gopro accessory mount compatible. 10. Smaller (not as tall), lighter, and a modern look. 11. USB-C 12. A $20 mic add-on, and not another $80 investment into Gopro. 13. An included case (no additional thickness because you need the room for two fold down and fragile legs). 14. A better twist lock screw mount, no tool required. 15. Better than Gopro image stabilization (from what I can tell - again subjective). 16. Small Rig makes a cage for it (already on order). Minor misses: 1. Lag time on the displays. 2. Mine defaulted to Chinese when it powered on, so I had to rummage around until I found something that offered other languages. 3. The twistlock mounts will take some getting used to, and I'm not sure if I want to invest in a proprietary mount, or just use the dozens of Gopro mounts I have scattered about. Hummm? 4. The display fades to a power conserving mode, then cuts off very quickly (good and bad). I suspect this can be changed, but I'm not there yet. I would be stunned if Gopro and Osmo were not using the same exact sensor as both are made in China, but the variation in image quality comes from different algorithms? If I were asked, I lead by example, and the Osmo is my action camera of choice until someone else comes along with drastic improvements.
