Ill start by saying I am a fan of DJI products, having had two of their drones, an Osmo Pocket and an Osmo Action camera, so I knew I wouldnt be disappointed with this. Id also watched loads of online video reviews for smartphone gimbals and this one came out on top every time. Id so nearly bought the previous versions, but they seemed a bit big and cumbersome, but the designers at DJI have obviously learnt from them and come up with this third model, which to me is just about perfect I love that it all folds up so neatly and small and its very quick to get out and be up and running shooting video. You soon get well practiced at mounting your phone mine is an iPhone XS Max and balancing it not absolutely essential, but it improves battery life though not having to hold the phone level against gravity. In operation, all the controls are easily learned most buttons have several functions but its not at all complicated. Movements are buttery smooth, though you still have to compensate for bouncing up and down as you walk, otherwise the video will be very up and down. You become accustomed to doing the ninja walk knees slightly bent and walking heel to toe to keep vertical movements to a minimum. This is common with all gimbals though and not a minus point for this one.Downsides The only one Ive found so far is that you cant use it in a torchlight type hold with the gimbal pointing outwards and horizontally because the motorarm gets in the way. Again, online reviews taught me that you can achieve the same low level shooting by holding it sideways instead, then lower it. Difficult to explain in words, but Google it if you dont understand.For the money, I think its great value for money, though I did wait for it to come down to 79 before purchasing.

As on owner of the Osmo Mobile 1, the Mobile 3 is a very nice upgrade. Although the two, on paper, appear to do the same thing, the Mobile 3 is lighter, the battery lasts longer, and folds substantially more compact. I especially like how it locks into place once folded. For the price of the combo, buying it over the non-combo is a no brainer.

Ive never owned a selfie stick nor any stand tripod. This item is the best for time being. Something will have to replace in next 18 months or 12. The auto sense follow is pretty neat sometimes the gesture you have to do more than once with peace sign two fingers Then the led will flash multiple times. And the stabilizer is ridiculous and its natural hand position is perfect not sore wrist for hours and you can keep you phone charged as well the cord doesn't get in the way. Grab the combo with case this is a must by if you have a phone and take pics and video. Buy it fir your kids that are responsible. Download the app first before turning on.

The Osmo 3 is well made, compact and feature rich. It is stupid cheap for what you get! My recommendation is to buy the kit that includes a case and tripod. You will use the tripod a lot. It is important to download and use the DJI Mimo app to get the most from the Osmo 3. The app is the control center for the unit. Read the instructions and familiarize yourself with the controls. This will take your phone camera to different dimension. Negatives: must be charged but the battery last a long time. Some phone cases must be removed to use.

Works good, easy set up, long battery life, does a decent job stabilizing video. Cons would be having to rebalance the phone each time you use it and one other key thing. I just don’t use it much. My iPhone already has electronic image stabilization built in so it has pretty good results already. I wouldn’t recommend buying one, not because of any faults it has but just because you probably wont use it much. You carry your phone with you most of the time but how often will you bring this?

Although I wouldn’t consider it a must have, without prior experience on filming anything I found this item extremely easy to use and set up, packed with useful features and yes it does make a difference. The only thing I would say and it could be that I am doing something wrong is the the zooming in and out doesn’t seem smooth or slow enough, it feels like it either does it a bit jerky and too fast for my taste. I’m using it with an iPhone 11 Pro Max The one thing I really like is how small it is when folded.

This is my first gimbal ever, so keep in mind I don't have any alternatives to compare this to. That being said, I freakin love this thing!! Setup is easy - just pop your phone in there, balance it, and turn the thing on. You can also use the tripod if you want to - I find that I only use it when taking pano or timelapse videos, but it's really easy to use if you want it! I took this bad boi to Disneyland for the ultimate test. I used it during the entirety of the new Rise of the Resistance ride, and let me tell you those videos are all smooth as silk. Even the bits where I'm just walking around, people that have since watched my videos asked if I was in a ride vehicle because of how smooth the video was. The different buttons on the device make it so easy to use. I can seamlessly zoom, change to horizontal/vertical modes, switch between the front and back cameras, turn sport mode on or off, take pictures, videos, you name it! It's extremely intuitive and user-friendly. The software that you use with it is really great software. It's similar enough to my phone's native camera software that it felt seamless to learn. It also has a really cool "story" mode, where all the music, transitions, and camera movement is basically done for you. Made for some VERY cool videos at Disneyland. Storing this gimbal is also really easy. It folds up to be EXTREMELY compact, so it's easy to fit into a small backpack and it's easy to carry around. Overall I feel like DJI could get away with charging even more for this and I would still think it was worth the purchase. If you're just looking for a device that will easily stabilize your phone to shoot some neat videos, you're going to be satisfied.

I purchased the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 about a month ago and have enjoyed using it. The gimbal is easy to use and keeps my videos steady and smooth. I highly recommend the Osmo Mobile 3 to anyone that wants to improve their mobile video capture. I also love that it folds down making it easy to store or to take it on the go. The price point is excellent as well. Overall, I’m very impressed by this product.

I have never purchased any thing like this before never played with one or anything. The instructions are very clear and actually using it I can honestly say isn’t difficult at all. I have a iPhone 11 Pro Max and it’s holds it without a problem and the controls work very well and fits in your hand doesn’t seem to weigh as much as I though it would. It’s a great overall beginners gimble.

It is quite stable so far, and the shooting effect is great

There are dozens of phone gimbals on the market. Many are priced as much as $50 less than this one. Pretty much all gimbals run on the same opensource engine for the balancing and gyros. So, the big difference is going to be build and features. DJI has a lot of experience with making gimbals and it shows with this device. It is durable and seems to be compatible with almost any phone. I use the iPhone XS Max and I don't need to take it out of the case to use this gimbal. I also love that I can charge the phone from the gimbal while using the gimbal. I have two or three budget gimbals that support charging, but they cover the charging port when you mount the phone. The tripod is a cool option. I have many portable tripods, but I keep the Osmo on this tripod on my desk and I use software to make it function as my webcam. This comes in really handy when I want to pan or tilt the webcam. Pros: Sturdy, really cool software, folds to a portable size, the case doesn't look like a gun or small violin (competition's cases always get my luggage searched at the airport). Cons: Stupid little bag for tripod accessory - I wish they would have made a case big enough to hold both. I wish it came with a remote so that you could use it mounted on a tripod without the proprietary camera app.

Gimbal works very well with iPhone 11 Pro Max. I haven't had a chance to test battery life, but I know it holds a charge well when not in use. Controls are easy to use and built in tutorials make learning them quick and simple. The only downside is that it's pretty bulky, which makes it a little harder to carry around with you unless you have a backpack or sling bag. Overall great product that produces very stable shots.

What is there to say about this product that hasn’t been? Every positive thing you have read from other reviews are all true. Battery life is great! Ease and use is amazing! Stabilized my iPhone XS Max perfect without a counter weight. However, it’s to heavy with a case on, so I have to take that off but, still.... perfect product.

Very nice portable gimbal. Great price. Great for travel. When used with the DJI mimo app, you’re able to make pretty good videos. You can still use it without the app just your phone’s camera app.

I had never used a gimbal before, but my kids use it a lot for social media. It’s definitely got a solid build and I like it’s small footprint for portability. The few times I have used it, the videos do come out very stable and smooth.

I am a beginner for any accessories for vlogging or anything. It took me a minute to figure this out and had to get the app. The app is a very useful feature to have and love the features. Talk about video stabilization is an understatement, this puts the quality of your video stability to a whole new level. and all the zooming, recording, switching from video to picture is all within your hand and you do not have raise your hand to touch the screen. Awesome gimbal and definitely a game changer especially when you fold it and put it in the bag.

The folding design is portable and simple. Great stabilization. Very solid, well-built. Mimo app has tons of options for filming. Object tracking is nearly flawless. Can charge your phone while shooting. 15-hour battery life

I bought this for my daughter who wants to start a YouTube channel like a lot of kids are doing now lol. She has a IPhone XR & WOW the picture is clearer when playing back a video & so stable not shaking. There’s a Apple App you download & fill out some information & then it syncs to the Gimbal very easily. It sets up everything automatically for leveling etc. In the App there’s also a very user friendly simple editing for videos. This is hands down the best Gimbal out right now for a Phone & it’s also easy setup & easy to use!! I have a IPhone Pro Max & downloaded the App to give it a try & it’s just amazing. I also liked the fact that you can download the App from multiple phones & use different logins or the same...

At first I thought it was hard to use, but when I learned the right way on how to balance my phone I already loved it moreover the way it stabilized the video.

This item is awesome. I purchased this because I work in real estate and needed something to help me stabilize my image while I’m doing the virtual tour video walk-through. I intend to use it a couple times just for real estate at work but found that it’s also very useful in other situations such as if you wanted to play around and maybe make some YouTube videos it makes being a content creator much more easier and it actually helped me learn a bit about video production.This event is five stars gray camera for beginners and also if you have him on your phone it’s a stunning photos and videos and has excellent stabilization tracking features.
