This little device makes your Osmo pocket Bluetooth compatible. Therefore they need to use your phone connected to the Osmo is no longer. The distance you can get from the phone is incredible. I must have for anyone planning on purchasing a Osmo pocket. See it’s on the bottom and can be used as a stand and does not interfere with the accessory to mount the osmo pocket two different drop parts and other accessories. It’s a little expensive but with the expansion kit is a good deal.

So there is a small downfall to this Osmo Pockst and it a very small one. Having this expansion kit is a must. Starting with the wireless module which I use everyday with the camera, then the accessory mount is very useful of course. Then there’s the controller wheel which I haven’t really used that much cause I use the wireless module more with the phone so kinda of useless for me lol. Nonetheless all still great products.

This Expansion Kit is VERY USEFUL. I’m new to this content thing and I’m not doing it as a means of income nor as a hobby(yet). I bought the Osmo Pocket to familiarize myself with being in possession and using a device that does create content. The Expansion Kit Control Wheel is a precision accessory. The Wheel allows you to pan up, down, left & right at a controlled speed of your thumb. The WiFi base allows you to use the Osmo Pocket remotely so if you’re like me and still not use to holding something in your hands all the time, this accessory is for you. It does everything the Pocket does, just from the phone. It also allows you to have a bigger viewing screen because we know the Pocket’s is pretty small. You can toggle between features with ease since everything is right on your phone screen. The base doubles as a charger as well, so that’s beneficial to a degree. The third item is just an attachment holder for the Osmo Pocket. It’s a general adapter for Osmo Pocket licensed additions and accessories. It fits the shoulder harness(I use) and other body gear that holds the Osmo Pocket. Overall, it’s a great Kit to have with the Pocket. You’ll definitely find it convenient for a lot of scenarios.

The best part of the entire Expansion Kit is the WiFi adapter. The other two items are so-so, depending on how you use the Osmo Pocket. Since the Osmo Pocket doesn't have built-in WiFi, the WiFi adapter was the first thing on my list. The only thing that could have been better about it is if it had a 1/4-20 thread on the bottom. Since it doesn't I'd recommend the Polar Pro WiFi Tripod Adapter or something similar to get that ability The most useless thing (for me) in this kit is the mount. It prevents you from connecting anything to the top USB, including the control wheel which is part of this kit. I would recommend picking up the Polar Pro mount with 1/4-20 thread on the bottom because it allows you to connect the control wheel and also to charge via the Osmo Pocket's bottom USB jack. The control wheel is nice but it would have been even better if it were a joystick instead of a wheel. In order to switch between controlling tilt and pan you literally have to use a 'switch' to change from one mode to another. A joystick would have been so much smoother, especially while recording. The extra two buttons are nice though. I thought I'd like the control wheel more than I do but it doesn't get used much anymore, and the mount almost never gets used.

I was given a DJI Osmo pocket as a gift but I needed to get this expansion kit so that I can fully enjoy using this cool and small gadget. I like all the accessories included in this kit. I usually use the controller wheel so it’s easier to navigate the menu while on shooting mode. I have yet to tinker with the wireless module but I am sure it will also be a good help. There is also the accessory mount that will stabilize the osmo pocket if you want to film yourself without having another person to hold it for you. Sturdy and useful when I tried to film a timelapse video.

The Osmo Pocket has been great fun to use, but coming from the larger Osmo and Osmo Pro setups, there were a few missing features that this expansion kit solves. The thumb wheel should have been built-in and is my least favorite to use, but it does bring pan/tilt control without having your phone connected. The “action” mount is really a GoPro mount and again a clumsy way of adding a universal mount option, but does come into use for any of the thousands of GoPro style mounts. The best by far is the wireless module which is both a stand sand bluetooth/Wi-Fi receiver. This wireless stand is crucial for hands-free stability and modes like timelapse. A must have for the wireless module, the others are more user/case specific.

The wireless module and controller wheel are an absolute must. It makes it super easy to control the camera, much better than using the limited touch screen. Also, the wireless module makes it great to view what you shot or just use it as a monitor. I haven't used the accessory mount but I'm sure I will eventually. This is a must buy.

If you have the Osmo Pocket, you also need this expansion. The control wheel is a must have for pan and tilt operation while you are filming. Much more controlled then simply moving your hand. Also, it is very helpful to be able to wirelessly connect your phone in order to quickly change settings.

I bought this during the sale, and I can assure you it's absolutely worth it. The Osmo Pocket is good as-is, but sometimes controlling it using just the touchscreen was a bit cumbersome. Additionally, there are situations where I'd rather not have the adapter directly connected to my phone, such as doing a long timelapse which forces me to not use my phone for other purposes or when I have it mounted onto something and want to control it from a distance. This expansion kit solves my problems, but also created a few minor ones at the same time. The wireless connectivity works great and the wheel allows me to fine tune the angle I want to use. However, you can't use the original carrying case if you want to have everything connected, so I had to buy a new one that fits. Additionally, the wireless module at the bottom allows the camera to stay flat, but I would have liked to see a tripod mount option built into it for greater flexibility.

Being able to wirelessly connect to the osmo pocket opens up a lot of ways to film. Plus it acts as a stand so you can set the osmo down and film.

This makes easier to control and see camera without having to be connected straight to phone. I use a great deal for time laps videos

This Expansion Kit is a must have for the osmo pocket . It easy to pair the Wireless Module with a smartphone running the DJI Mimo app. Once that’s done, you can quickly connect the phone to the Module to control the Osmo Pocket remotely via the app. All the normal app controls are present, so you can adjust the camera angle or change settings. The Controller Wheel makes controlling the camera easier, so there’s less need to use your phone. The price on this kit makes it a great value.

So glad I took a few to check pricing, was just seconds away from clicking Buy Now at their regular individual pricing. Cutting it short, It almost went the wrong way for me, When I received my pickup, box was full of rocks! BestBuy, apologized tho and I JUST HAD TO WASTE A LITTLE MORE uBER $ TO GO BACK AND pick up my New, for the 2nd time, Expansion Kit. Got it for the scroll wheel but, Got WiFi and Bluetooth now also, I'm not gonna complain about that! Awesome deal!

This should be included with the camera. The wireless adapter is very useful when you clip on the pocket camera and want access to the camera’s viewfinder and full control of camera from your phone. Accessory mount allows you to be creative on how/where you want it to be attached to. And controller wheel makes access to camera functions easier.

Instead of using the front panel connector I can use this device and connect with either Bluetooth or WiFi to the Osmo Pocket. I now have all the same functions that I would if I were using the direct connection, so I can handhold the OP yet use the tablet or phone as a monitor. Very convenient addition to the usefulness of the OP.

Three items come in the kit. The one I use the most is the wifi connector which lets me connect via wifi to use all the DJI memo app functions. Second most used item is the control wheel which controls horizontal and vertical movements of the gimbal. Last but not least the mount, which lets me use different GoPro mounting accessories.

Honestly the DJI Osmo screen is so small and the phone adapter is so fragile that using this together with some type of phone mount is much better. The only problem, as with all the DJI Osmo attachments, is that it should of been included with the DJIO itself. But nevertheless great product.

If you own the osmo pocket, get this one too to enjoy most out of it. Taking hyperlapse/timelapse videos is easy with the wireless module. I like the controller wheel and use it a lot. The accessory mount I have not used it as I don't have anything to attach it to yet.

the wireless adapter is worth the price it makes the osmo pocket even more versitile and is worth the price but you also get the pan wheel adapter and an action camrea mount for it in here to i actually dont use the action camera mount but it does work well just not for my needs.
