I originally bought just the DJI pocket 2 without the creator combo version but then decided to go with the creator combo which includes the do-it-all handle and the wireless microphone. The wireless microphone was needed if you want to do vlogging and YouTube your videos. You would want your voice to be crisp and clear. The do-it-all handle is needed for the wireless microphone since it needs the bluetooth connection that comes with the do-it-all handle. The do-it-all handle also has Wi-Fi connection in it that will be handy when you connect your phone to the DJI pocket 2 wirelessly to monitor and control your pocket 2 with a larger screen. With all those things mentioned going with the creator combo is cheaper and a better choice.
I also bought an external wireless microphone, the Hollyland Lark M1 dual microphones, to go with this setup because I wanted to record voices of two people narrating at the same time. The do-it-all handle has a 3.5mm jack for the microphone so it works perfectly. Note that if you buy an external wireless microphone kit that has a USB type-c connecting directly to the USB type-c input jack of the pocket 2 will not work because it needs power to drive the receiver. The Hollyland wireless microphone model that I bought works with the pocket 2. It's a little bit more wires and set up but it works.
The cons about the pocket 2 is that you can't use tracking when you video 4k/60fps. That's a bummer. You can however use tracking for 4k/30fps. The other negative thing about the pocket 2 is that the battery runs out too fast. It says max 2 hours but with microphone on and screen on all the time it sucks the juice quick. You have to have a power bank ready at all times. I bought a power bank that doubles as a handle that I screw on to the bottom of the pocket 2 to take care of the power issue. Night shots were ok but could be better with a larger sensor.
Overall I would recommend using the pocket 2 over using your smartphone to do videos so you can free up your smartphone to do other things. Plus the pocket 2 is more compact and discreet if you plan to use it in foreign countries. Another advantage is the stabilization of the gimbal on the pocket 2 is much better than your phone. The results are much more professional looking with no shake, less headache watching your videos. I think it's worth buying it. The video quality is mind blowing for a gadget that can literally fit in your pocket!

Pros:
- Incredibly stable and fluid motion. No need to keep trying to guess when the camera is horizontal. No more being forced to carry a heavy tripod for miles to film steady, level outdoor scenery.
- Video image is superb even on lowest setting
- The app is very well designed to control the camera via Bluetooth / Wi-Fi
- Turns on very quickly
- Makes very good time lapse videos very easily while it pans, tilts and rolls to your settings (this is a lot of fun to play with).
Cons:
- Battery life a bit on the low side but can be compensated for with a power bank due to USB-C connection
- Can heat up on 4K and, in fact, is noticeably warm every time I use it no matter what the setting. However, this doesn't seem to cause any ill-affects.
- Photos are good but not as good as smart phones with their computational photography.
- Need to be a little careful with the focus and make sure it doesn't focus on something too close which can make your intended subject a bit fuzzy in the background.

Exactly what I needed! I bought this camera so I could record my niece and nephew when I take them to Disney for the first time. Wanted something easy to use, small enough to take everywhere, and had good picture quality. This camera does exactly all of that. The picture and the sound are so clear.

Love this little giant! So small with remarkable features and amazing video quality. It seems like it just takes the photos or videos that you are imagining with very little effort...kind of reads your mind and easily allows you to capture special moments. You are taking photos or videos in just seconds from the instant you press the power button. The stabilization is beyond cool...super steady video clips are easy to achieve with almost no effort. Simply put, this camera is amazing, small, and a great device that will change the way your images look forever. Future generations will be happy that you used this unique device to capture moments that will last for generations.

I was looking for a new camera and saw this on youtube. I watched alot of videos on this product and how to use it before I decided to purchase. I've used it on a couple long videos so far and the quality of the video is great and ease of use. The only thing is I wish the battery lasted longer than it does. I can't wait to use this product on a trip whenever I can take one.

Very good 4k handheld and packed with features. It needs replaceable batteries...only good for about 40 to 60 minutes of record time but takes 70 minutes to charge. The "follow me" mode is inconsistent which is why I gave it a 4 star. Over all, it's a great mobile, small recording device with excellent sound quality. The Pocket 3 will probably be amazing.

I have been thinking about buying this for some time. When a family vacation came up I did not hesitate to purchase.
During our vacation outings, taking this out to start filming was quick and easy. Felt better than filming with my phone due to the weight and less awkward handling (I never film with my phone in portrait mode).
Now back at home, I make sure it is in my pocket for every outing or gathering.
The only worry I have so far is that it will warm up pretty quickly. I did not see any drop in performance when it warm up. But I can imagine the summer months might get annoying using this.
Only time will tell.
But beyond that. I'd say if you're a vlogger or just want to capture moments on video quickly, this is a great purchase.
If you feel like it'd be a waste since your phone can perform similar tasks. Then I'd advise looking over this device's bells and whistles to be sure before making a decision.
It's easy and fun to use. And has a few features up its sleeve to make you want to grab for this over your phone's camera.

Absolutely love this product! Purchased this in order to take quick and easy video of vacations and our newborn. The pocket is so easy to take out and start a quick recording of anything we want. Fits easily into my pocket or a bag/backpack so we can always have it around.
Pros: Very compact, great video quality in a small package, easy to use, lots of accesories to help with recording, portrait or landscape mode, wide angle lense
Cons: My only wish would be for a bigger screen and easier to use screen controls
I highly recommend this product! It provides a great picture for anything you need and is ultra compact to take anywhere.

Love this camera so much this is the second one I’ve bought. My husband was always using mine for car videos so I bought him his own for Christmas. Crisp video and pictures and easy to use. We travel a lot so it’s great to have something so small.

Lightweight, great quality, stabilization top notch.
Deconstruct a DJI drone, and create a handheld camera that stabilizes any shot you use....WONDERFUL IDEA.
NOTE : This camera splits videos once recording reachese 4 GB. Didn't read that in the manual. Hope it helps.
If you want smooth B-roll, or a great vlog camera (due to you could press button next to record 3 times to flip camera) you will not be disappointed.
NEGATIVES
1) Battery life is 2 hours, can't change battery, power bank is a must.
2) Wide angle lens always falls out of the case.
3) Little dated, so slow video downloads to phone.

Probably one of the best vlogging camera to use. Very easy to operate without knowing a lot of videos. The color details is very good. Audio quality is great with or without the microphone extensions but it’s good for far distance. It’s small enough to make you stand out.
Few minor problems. The pieces are small which can be a pain if they’re dropped. The tripod piece is hard to remove but with the tripod attached to it help to remove it. Face detection is just a problem for me.
All in all, I would recommend it and there’s a lot of videos of it to help out.

This product is portable and convenient. The quality of the pictures and videos is impressive. I use this to capture those active moments of my children, especially when I want to extend the battery life of my cellphone. I will say that it was a bit challenging to change from selfie video mode to general video mode without the app. I'd also prefer that the screen be a bit larger and touchscreen.

I may come back and change at some point, but as of this writing I'm very happy with the product. In a word, it's cool! Awesome pictures and video just in the basic settings. I can only imagine moving to 64 mp on pics and 4k on video will only show how awesome it really is. Light, small, and packs a lot into the package.
We got a Go Pro about 3 years ago and it just didn't meet the needs of regular photo taking and video - not that it is a bad camera, but it is hard to use and more oriented to what you see it advertised for - action sports.
The Pocket 2 gives you plenty.

this to film travel videos (mostly b-roll type footage). It is very compact and can fit in you pocket if needed (hence the name). Sometimes I just carry the camera around and take random video. It takes amazing video especially if used together with ND filters (I live in a very sunny area). The internal mic is a bit hit or miss, but if you buy the mic adapter and plug in an external mic (depending on the mic) the sound quality can be extremely improved. The screen is tiny, so if you have fat fingers, I'd suggest you tweak the setting on your phone before shooting. This camera can be very versatile if you are creative enough.
