Like driving a sports car compared to my RS2 (the prior model that became the RS3 pro). The RS2 is like driving an SUV or a Van. The weight difference is like night and day. I see myself using the RS3 mini about 90% of the time. And, the RS2 mostly on a tripod. Bad: the Arca plate on RS3 mini slides front to back and the RS2 plate slides side to side so I cannot use the same plate orientation on both gimbals, bummer. Also Small Rig cage on a7siii won't work on RS3 mini but it does on RS2. I deducted one star for this. No Active Track, no Raven Eye but I can get over that.

Great first gimbal! It moves smoothly and is small enough to travel decently. However, it does not come with a case nor have I seen Best Buy sell one for it. I use a Sony ZV E-10 with this, which is a small camera. It requires the gimbal to move one of the motors to a setting where it cannot fully move around, which sucks because the camera is not bulky at all.

This gimbal is great if you don’t want to spend a lot more on the full size Ronin. I’ve used both this Rs3 Mini and the Rs3 and I genuinely can’t tell the difference. I usually run a Sony A7RII camera with a Rode VideoMic Go on top along with a variety of Sony and Tamron lenses. I have never had any issues with weight load or battery life. I’ve been able to come home from 6-8 hour long shoots with the gimbal at around 20% battery without charging at all. Overall, I recommend this product.

This is a really great buy. Comparing to the newer model, this is a great way to save too. The app is also great for productions that you may not have help

This was my first gimbal and it has already paid for itself with a couple of small gigs ive shot with it. I was planning to use this as just a travel gimbal/tripod but the performance this little gimbal offers is just unbelievable. I can get steady shots using my full frame mirrorless Sony A7iv with a Tamron 17-28mm f2.8 lens. The motors are also strong enough to let me switch focal lengths on the fly without losing performance from the gimbal. That alone is worth the coin I paid. Convenience goes a long way.

Excellent gimble, works well with smaller cameras and shorter lenses. There is a slight learning curve to getting it to work as needed but it’s a great value overall
