Absolutely not a good gimbal for a normal size camera. Even if you use smaller camera you wont be able to carry in your backpack without disassembling it completely which will require you to balance it again. i do not recommend. Better get RS 3 , attached the pic of RS 3

Concerns About Product Condition and Trust in Best

I picked it up from my local store because they had it in stock, but it had some visible scratches, making it seem like an open-box item might have been sold as new. I generally prefer not to make returns because I dislike wasting the time and energy involved but I have to return it. I was very disappointed and it has made me question my trust in the Best Buy brand.

I picked up the DJI RS3 Mini from Best Buy recently, and honestly, I’m blown away by how much power is packed into such a compact setup. As someone who needs stability, flexibility, and portability on the go, this gimbal completely exceeded my expectations. First off, the build quality is top-tier. It’s light enough to carry around all day, but still feels solid and professional. I paired it with my mirrorless camera and was amazed by how quickly it balanced and calibrated. The updated quick-release plate is a massive time-saver, and I love how intuitive the controls are. I was up and running in minutes. What really impressed me is the stabilization—it’s butter smooth. I’ve tested it on handheld walking shots, pans, tracking, even some tricky angles, and the footage looks like it came from a much bigger rig. It’s especially great for travel or solo shooting when I can’t lug around a huge setup. Battery life? Also stellar. I’ve gotten hours out of it on a single charge, even with Bluetooth and motor functions running consistently. And the Bluetooth shutter control is such a convenient touch—it just makes the whole workflow that much faster. If you’re on the fence about a gimbal that’s portable but still professional, the RS3 Mini is absolutely worth every dollar. Best Buy made the whole buying process super smooth, and I had it in my hands in no time. Bottom line: this thing has become an essential part of my gear. Whether you’re shooting content, events, travel, or just want silky smooth footage, the RS3 Mini will elevate your game.

This thing is way too complicated to learn. Had to watch a Youtube video, and even then... It wound up upside down at some points. The app isn't function, and the standby on this thing is trash.

still impressed every time I use it! I’ve been using the DJI RS 3 Mini for about two months now, and it’s easily one of my favorite pieces of gear. I’ve shot everything from quick handheld videos to full-day projects, and the stabilization still amazes me. The footage looks buttery smooth every single time. What I really appreciate is how lightweight and compact it is — perfect for travel or long shoots without arm fatigue. The setup takes minutes, and the controls feel super intuitive, even for someone who isn’t a full-time videographer. Battery life is solid, the Bluetooth control is convenient, and the build quality feels premium and durable. You can tell DJI really thought about creators when designing this. Overall, the RS 3 Mini has made filming fun again — reliable, easy to use, and professional results without the bulk. Highly recommend it to anyone serious about improving their video work!

Compact Beast — The RS 3 Mini Delivers Big-League

As a content creator and videographer, I’ve used everything from heavy-duty gimbals to basic handheld rigs — and the DJI RS 3 Mini hits that perfect sweet spot. Lightweight, reliable, and surprisingly powerful for its size, this gimbal has become my go-to for fast-paced shoots and travel work. Right out of the box, it felt premium. Setup was super intuitive — I had it balanced and synced in minutes. The Bluetooth shutter control works flawlessly with my Sony FX30 and a7 series cameras. Being able to control everything wirelessly saves me time on set and keeps my movement fluid. Stabilization is top-tier. Even when I’m moving quickly or capturing low-angle shots, the footage comes out buttery smooth. I’ve used it on music video shoots, street content, and even BTS reels — it handles it all with zero hiccups. Battery life is excellent too — I can shoot for hours without needing to recharge. What surprised me most? How sturdy it feels despite the smaller frame. It’s easy to pack, fits into a sling bag, and doesn’t kill my arms during longer handheld shoots. It honestly feels like DJI managed to pack RS 3 Pro-level features into something half the weight. Best Buy had it in stock and ready for same-day pickup — and their staff gave me some solid recommendations on accessories. Huge win. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or upgrading from your first stabilizer, this thing is a powerhouse in a small package. Highly recommended.

As a filmmaker and proud owner of the RS 3 Mini, I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance and portability. The first notable feature is the size. The intuitive controls and customizable settings make operating the gimbal a breeze. The onboard touchscreen provides quick access to various modes, including Follow, FPV, and Lock, catering to diverse shooting styles. The responsive joystick and ergonomic grip enhance user experience, allowing for precise control over the gimbal's movements. DJI's ActiveTrack technology is a standout feature, enabling the RS 3 Mini to automatically track subjects with remarkable accuracy. This hands-free tracking capability is a game-changer for solo shooters, providing the freedom to focus on creative composition without worrying about manual adjustments. The RS 3 Mini's extended battery life ensures prolonged shooting sessions without constant interruptions. The quick-charging feature is a welcome addition, minimizing downtime between shoots and keeping creators in the creative flow. Compatibility with the DJI Ronin app further expands the gimbal's functionality, offering additional creative tools, time-lapse features, and firmware updates. Excellent gimbal for the price and size. May not be as full-featured or payload capacity as its bigger brothers but you would be hard pressed to find another product on the market that is better in this price and weight/size class. Set up can be tricky and takes some time to get used to for novice users.

Been using a glidecam to shoot weddings for years. Thought I'd give this thing a shot and it's amazing. So much lighter and the controls are very intuitive and easy to learn. Only challenge was learning how to properly balance the gimble but after a few weeks of regular use I have it down. Definently reccomend even if you already have weighted systems, give this gimbal a shot. Battery life is excellent too, lasts 8+ hours easy.

This gimbal is amazing! Has tons of functionality and can control the camera from the handle. Has USB-C for camera adapter and charging. Might get heavy after a few hours but worth it if you want to stabilize your shots while making b-roll. Theres an option to make the gimbal follow you while you move around. Has detachable legs and can screw into any standard tripod.

Super impressed buy this gimbal it’s able to hold my Sony FX-3 with a 24-70mm GM II at first I was skeptical that it wouldn’t be able to perform because it looks so small in you hand and my camera is pretty big and heavy! It didn’t skip a beat, performed super good! I’d say this is the best gimbal for people who travel a lot because it breaks down so small you can fit it in your backpack no problem. FX-3 and A7s III shooters this should be your go to gimbal!

I did not think this gimbal would handle my Panasonic S5M2 with 20-60 kit lens but it does and very well at that... It was very east to stabilize after watching a couple YouTube how to's and has worked so far flawless... Only thing I wish that would work it the Bluetooth connection like it does with Sony Cameras especially after the Panasonic and DJI new alliance but tit doe not work and seems like there is no plans to make it work... it does have active track and I did get that to work and I have to admit it worked very well... I would recommend this gimble for those looking to travel with a light, compact and very capable gimbal.

First off, I haven’t had any gimbal work super smooth, you have to run the footage through editing software afterwards. I like the mini 3 over the 3 because of the weight. If you are shooting a full day wedding, your arms and back are gonna get tired holding a gimbal. If you balance correctly, it is pretty smooth. I’m using it with a Sony FX3, Tamron 28-75 (or Sony 20mm f1.8) ND filter, and DJI Mic 2. The drawback to this gimbal is an internal battery that you cannot change. I’ve bought 2 of the mini3’s and am able to slap one on the charger when it’s low and go to the second gimbal. The better you balance it, the longer your battery will last (servo motors keeping the camera balanced).

Good light gimbal for aspc cameras. Bought mine use "excellent" condition and it mostly fit that description. Only thing is the front trigger/button is crunchy/hard to push on mine and the rail that the camera sits on is a bit hard to adjust but otherwise condition seemed accurate. Using this with a Sony zve10 and a suite of tamron lenses. Does not have any issues with them at all weight wise. Will agree with another review I saw saying that you won't be able to adjust zoom while the gimbal is active. It's just not strong enough for that. But if you're looking for a lightweight gimbal for aspc cameras this works extremely well doubly so if you can get it for a discount! Oh side note, I tried to mount a canon EOS 5d mk IV to it and definitely too big to even fit on the rail.
