This was already a great game on the PS3 and has gotten even better for the PS4. The graphics have been upped to 1080P along with some better lighting effects but the biggest change would be the switch to 60fps. It really makes the combat feel more fluid. It includes all the DLC along with new costumes and game modes adding a new level of difficulty. I own the PS3 version and didn't know if it was worth upgrading but I'm glad I did because of all the new content.

Don't believe all the haters!! Forget that you don't like emo Dante. There are 2 classic skins unlocked right at the start for those that just can't stomach emo Dante! It's all about the gameplay & developer Ninja Theory has nailed the classic Devil May Cry gameplay on the head 100%!!! All in glorious 1080p HD at a rock solid 60fps!!! This is the best version to own PERIOD!!

DmC Definitive edition is an excellent combat rebalancing of the original version. The changes to the game play make it a more skill dependent and thus highly reward game. The extra modes like Turbo and Hardcore combined with the 60 FPS create a twitch based, balls to the wall action experience. The game is as hard as you want it to be or as easy as you want it to be. A great remaster that is a benchmark as far as remasters go. The stories and characters are still mediocre and the visuals are just decent for current generation hardware but the stylish combat makes up for it. I highly recommend this for fans of stylish action combat games.

The common view on remastered and definite editions of games is that are cash grabs by the companies, involving minimal work and/or thought. While I can't speak to how true this is as a whole, DMC - Definitive Edition is not the same game in a new box. Featuring FHD (1080P) native resolution, 60 FPS gameplay, and updated textures, the game looks and plays better than ever. If you enjoyed the game enough to think it deserves a replay, this will give you the best experience possible. If you haven't tried out DMC at all, this game is well worth the price of admission.

dmc: the definitive edition is for the ps4 what it should have been on the ps3. the improved processing power of the ps4 means more detail in graphics and smoother animation, which becomes all too necessary in action games. add to this all of the dlc, new game modes and challenges, re-balanced enemies and a $40 price tag and you've got a game you shouldn't miss, even if you've played it before.

I'm a huge fan of the classic devil may cry games, but I did go into this game with an open mind and I came out of the entire experience happy. Its not as good as Devil May Cry 3, or 4 but its still a super fun game that makes you feel cool as you do crazy stylish combos. The remake feels awesome running at 60 frames per second and I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good action game.

This is worth getting even if you've already played the original. The game was already beautiful, so the graphical improvements just accentuate it. The gameplay is great. The combat is fun and challenging. Some don't like the protagonist's changes, but I'm not going to be biased. At least he isn't wearing skinny jeans. For the price, definitely worth a purchase.

God of War like, and that's not a bad thing. It's a fun hack and slash game that looks good. Pulling off attack moves is not difficult. Once you start playing you will figure things out quickly. It's a reboot, so of course it's not a total ps4 next generation game. Overall, it's a fun game and that's what gaming is about.

DMC was already great on PS3, now its gotten slightly better on PS4. The Definitive Edition includes all the DLC, updated graphics, harder difficulty and the option to play the game with increased speed (20%). If you missed out on it last gen, get it now. Great action, and a good story with a deep message if you pay close attention to it.

If you've already played DMC on 360 or PS3, this is the same great game, but with enhanced graphics, frame rate, and some nice bonus features. If you loved it before, it's even better this time around. If you've never played DMC and you like action games, $40 for this version is a steal. Highly recommended.

If you like The Devil May Cry series, you'll love this latest offering. With 1080p resolution and 120fps display, it will be sure to feed your inner DMC hunger. This game is filled with insane visuals and breathtaking worlds. This is not a game I play alone, in the dark.

If you didn't play this game last gen, I would recommended to you pick it up. If you can get passed the new hipster Dante you should have a good experience. Graphics are somewhat better, do like the 60fps. Would of gave the game 3 stars but current price of 19.99 gave it one more star.

This is an awesome game. I love the DMC series and I bought it for the upgraded 60 FPS, 1080p resolution of the game. I upgraded all of my equipment and this game was must. If you like the series, buy this game. Always has been one of my favorite games.

Ok, the first reviewer is a totally biased. I'm looking at you Stephanie. This game is awesome on its own. The only reason some people hate it is because it is not like the Devil May Cry they know when in fact they SHOULD know that this is a unique take on the series. It is a fun action adventure game with pretty cool combat. The Definitive Edition adds more cool modes and tweets gameplay and unlocks all the DLC for you already including playing as Vergil. You get to have DMC1 costume for Dante and Vergil's DMC3 costume for nostalgia. There's a new Hardcore mode and Turbo mode with should feel right at home for most fans. People just need to learn to move on and not hold onto the past games as the "right" way of making DMC games. The music is good and fits with this punk gothic style of a game. Overall, I give this game a 5/5.

I have played every single devil may cry game in the series except for this one until I bought the definitive edition for Playstation 4 and the game looks great and the action in the game is fun and fast paced and I would play it again after beating the game.

Finally DMC has arrived on PS4 and it arrived with style. Love the 1080P and 60fps!!!! This game is awesome and well worth the wait. The DMC franchise is amazing with the stories and details put in the game. Great product

Ok, so briefly played this on ps3 & I was cool. & now having played it on ps4 now it is truly so much better. What a difference 1080p 60fp make! Wow im really enjoying this all over again.

All the goodness from the PS3 version now in glorious 1080p/60fps! If you missed this last gen, now is the time to grab it!
